I went to try on L'Agent by Agent Provocateur bras at Nordstrom. The color Neon Melon for the Vanesa bra is unbelievably neon. It doesn't look that way in photos, either on the company website or Nordstrom's. I was able to try it on in my sister size of 32E. I quickly put my white technical T-shirt back on, shielding myself from the blinding color. The T-shirt revealed a stunning flaw in the design of the bra. The area where the main part of the cup meets an extra bit of lace at the top center of each cup causes a diagonal ridge, about an inch long and ... highly visible under clothes. This occurred whether I fastened the bra on the tightest hooks, which makes this a sister size to my usual UK 30F, or whether I fasten it on looser hooks. The salesperson said, when I told her about this unfortunate feature, that they haven't sold many Vanesa bras.
Even if I wanted to buy this bra despite the fluorescent color, the design flaw would make it suitable only under thick or structured clothing. I don't need an unlined bra for that. By the way, I love bright, clear colors in my lingerie and clothing. My aversion to Neon Melon comes simply from being human.
