This bra is pretty "meh"--the cups are very wide and shallow so it really does nothing for my boobs. The band is also pretty long for a 32 as well. But it's pretty comfy and looks good under sheer tops so i will probably keep it around.
It's a transformer bra! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_surprised.gif" alt=":O" /> It goes from regular to halter (yay!) to supposedly racerback. But the straps would have to be long enough to convert it to be a racerback (grumble grumble grumble). Sheesh, I'm only 5'9"; what do tall women do? Not ever get to wear convertible racerbacks? Anyway, the color is nice and it seems comfortable. Nice tiny gore. But the lace that makes up the straps above the cups wrinkles. So I looked at pics of models wearing it, and the lace wrinkles on them, too. So I guess this bra is supposed to wrinkle. o.O But this bra will allow me to wear a halter dress I haven't worn in years, and it'll be a nice comfortable lounging around bra. Not too bad for a $10 clearance bra.
In case anyone ever reads this who is a bra manufacturer, please make your #$% straps long enough on a convertible bra. Thank you.
The cotton band on this bra is very comfy and soft. The lace feels great too. It has a lot of stretch in the band too. I think that cups are a tad too big and the side wires a little too wide but I could wear this no prob. I can't wear under smooth tees because the lace is lumpy. Cups are a tad too separate but not uncomfortable.
Not a perfect fit, but the best fit I have so far. Gives me nice cleavage a nice shape, though sometimes a little pointy. The lace design shows through all tighter fitting shirts, and it cannot be worn with white as the entire pattern is completely visible.
When I ordered this bra, it was called a 32E, but what I received was labeled as 32DD. So beware of sizing issues. It was definitely small on me: not so much in the band, but the cups, yes.
This bra is gorgeous. This bra is a light blue with a lace applique. It offers full coverage and looks beautiful on. The applique is very pretty but I found it a little annoying. As long as I had a comfortable shirt on, it didn't bother me that much (could have also been because I was gaining weight and so the bra was tight everywhere) and then I stopped wearing it. With the exception of the very slightly faded tag, it looks like you could have just bought it at the store, it's in that good of condition.
Like the other bras I am posting on Bratabase, it has ...been sitting in my drawer for some time because I gained weight and it no longer fits me. I was waiting for the time it would fit again but alas, that has not happened. Would love for it to find a new home. This bra has been very well cared for and has only been hand washed with gentle, bra-friendly detergent. There are no pulls, the straps don't have those worn bits from the adjusters and the band still has plenty of stretch. It comes from a non-smoking, no pet home so allergies wouldn't be a problem. It is a racerback with a front clasp making the waist band nonadjustable, but it has individual cups. Cups are too big everywhere. straps are fine. band is ok. Clasps come undone very easily on their own. Way too wide in the gore.
double layer - shear layer with soft layer underneath. good straps; full coverage. gore almost lays flat, slightly too wide of gore. Cups seem the right size
32 is a good band size. E seems too small, there is a bit of quad-boobing. The straps don't adjust long enough. The gore is comfortable, ALMOST resting against my chest. Maybe I should try a 32F, but it would still have short straps
I actually really like this bra and will be keeping it. I think the fact that it's a 32E and not a 30E (even though I measure betweem a 30E and F and 32E would be a sister size to 30F) is what's throwing things off a little. The wires seem a little more narrow, they fit perfectly. The height of the lace is great, cup separation is great, it's really the depth; if it was a few centimeters less it'd fit perfectly. The elastic on top actually fots pretty well, it's just that slight wrinkling that I think I can mostly attribute to slight shallowness. Also the band..I bought this used and I'm measuring 30 inches now, so that along with it being stretched from previous wear, it's a bit less snug than I prefer. It doesn't ride up though, and the gore sits flat and comfortably. Overall I like this bra a lot, it's comfortable, and I feel I can overlook my shallow boobs almost filling the top of the cup.
This one unfortunately runs a little large in the band and a little small in the cup. The cups are very stiff so the top ridge tends to be visible through clothing, especially when i move and my boobs settle ito the cup or when i press my arms together. Since the band is too long it tends to creep down.
The sizing is way off on this. I normally wear a 28-30F. The 32" band felt too small, I would probably be better in a 34". The E cup was too small, it didn't come close to tacking. I think this is mostly because of the cut, as there is no support due to the low back. It also gaps at the top, but at least it didn't gap at the top as bad as the Wacoal Red Carpet Bustier though.
When I first got this bra, I wanted to love it because it's exactly what I look for in a bra. It's pretty, has lace, dark colour, and is fairly minimal otherwise (minus a single bow). It fit, mostly, but it wasn't exactly comfortable and kept giving me a quadboob on the left. I wore it a few times after that and remember liking the silhouette it gave, but the left breast usually ended up square and quadboobed. I didn't wear it for a while after that.
While the initial quadboob isn't there any more, it's on the verge of it. There's still a squaring effect on the left breast. It's more comfortable that I remember it being, however, and now it fits pretty much perfectly. It's a well made bra overall, and I like the shape it gives.
Overall, I'm extremely pleased with this bra. It give my breasts a nice shape. The straps almost aren't long enough. I'd like it if I could adjust them longer, but they are okay with where they are at max length.
Pros: It has three hooks, side-boning, and the band is super-smoothing. Re: no bulges anywhere near the band. The cups are super-soft. The straps are non-stretch. The band is firmer than 9955, so it was tight enough on my (bony) 27" ribcage on the tightest hook.
Cons: The lace is kind of itchy (both on the band and straps), the bow on the center gore is a bit too big (looks silly rather than pretty), and the cups dig into my armpits. The straps do not fully adjust. I was excited that this was supposed to be like 9955, but ...softer and better for the narrow-shouldered. I guess I misinterpeted that, because although the straps are closer set, the wire is just as wide and the cups extend much too high under my armpit. Like 9955, the cups are too big on me, even though the 32E is almost too small in 955. (Le Mystere must have very strange sizing, I guess.) Finally, the padding is not thick enough to prevent show-through.
All in all, I would suggest this bra to someone who likes the material of Rebecca (the cups feel like a very similar material) but wants a bit more shaping and structure than she offers (it felt like she just smushed me, whereas this one offers more uplift and projection). Also, this one is softer. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Just beware of the cups digging into your armpits! Read more 142 more words
The perils of local lingerie boutiques and their "fitting" techniques. For all intents and purposes, this bra appeared to fit on me in the fitting room. I, enamored with the beauty of the bra and the fit in the room, purchase it despite being shocked at the price.
Imagine my shock when I return home and it suddenly doesn't fit my breasts without the magic "adjustments" made by said fitter.
Kinda pissed because my left breast is almost hanging out of this bra, whereas my right breast is verging from being properly fitted to now contemplating joining its partner in crime.
The look and feel of this bra is wonderful, hence my purchase--I became enamored with the shape, comfort, and appearance of the bra (not dowdy/matronly at all!); however the fit is ill now, and I am upset. If you are between cup sizes, beware--the perils of black-dyed fabric may be making this bra unnecessarily tighter, so you may wish to go up a cup. Despite this, the band fits more like a 30 than 32.
The straps are a bit itchy and the top of the gore is itchy. I wish the band was tighter than it is, but it doesn't ride up, and it's comfortable. The cups give me, as a bottom heavy person with very separate breasts, a really great shape. The material is comfortable. It's not pretty, it's just nude, but it's not the dreaded giant nude monster. Another thing, when I reach up, it cuts into my breast tissue, but when I don't it looks fine. I could probably move to a 30FF.
