Good golly! The band is HUGE! I ordered this in a 30 because I'd read that their bands run large. No kidding! I went over to Mr. BF, Marlene and back extender in hand, telling him he may need the extender. He most certainly didn't. The review I read suggested going a band size or two smaller, I say go 3+ smaller. Maybe it's just because it's a KK. I can't remember the size of the reviewer. The wires feel quite flimsy, but I feel like they're a good width for me. I'm also not being stabbed in the armpit, which is nice. The lace is ... pretty itchy at the top, but my skin is quite sensitive. The gore has a weird floppy thing going on, as the wires don't quite make it to the middle. Appearance wise, if you dig the retro look, this would be great for you. I'll be contacting the folks at Esty about a return/exchange, and if that doesn't work, I will be listing this for $80 dollars, which is what I paid for it, even with my gift credit from Bras and Body Image. Once I'm done uploading photos of this bra, I'll be removing it and putting on something else! Would I buy Louise Ferdinand again? With that price tag? Probably not any time soon.

This bra to me seems unusually large not just in the band, but also in the cups when compared to other bras around the 30K/KK/32K size range. The cups are both very deep (I'd expect to usually have around a 35-38cm cup depth) and fairly wide.

If you were giving this another go (which I'd understand not wanting to with the price tag), I'd say you'd maybe want 2 cup sizes down, unless of course it's one of those grading problems where for some reason the top size in the range is wayyyyy larger than the next size (EM S bras, Panache Harmony.... I can think of a few examples). It's pretty hard to tell that though without having measurements for a few sizes.

    • Question for ereshiy - How do you mean the top size of EM S bras are way larger than the others? What are you considering top size?

    • Ewa Michalak seems to have fixed the issue, but with a few of their earliest S bras, the biggest cup size available at the time seemed to be more than one cup larger than the next size down. See Curvy Wordy's review. http://www.curvywordy.com/2013/06/ewa-michalak-s-wisniowka-bra-32k70k-and.html
