    It was SO NICE to finally wear/find a sports bra that actually FITS and stays in place! This bra did not move throughout my ten hour shift at work and neither did my boobs! lynx has their own unique sizing that I wish most sports bras would do. Lynx goes by band (1,2,3 etc.) and a S,M,L instead of cup/breast size (Sprint, Dart, Zoom). I feel sports bras are so different from regular bras that I think a sizing standard sort of like this one would be better than the band and cup size (should probably add in a "chest width" measurement and "arm hole" ... measurement as well) standard. Although they have a decent size range, it is sorely lacking for the very busty. I'm wearing the 1D(art).
    I feel this bra is very similar to @Enell in looks and construction. The main difference being my Lynx does not do-up in the front. It is a pull-over with a very unique connector for the band (pictured). If it did not have this hook, the bra would be impossible to get on instead of just bit difficult.
    It does not seem to use compression to keep the breasts from moving. It feels to me like it lifts and holds the breasts in place with just a bit of compression. My average breast circumference is 32" and my circumference with the bra on is about 31.5". Extremely comfortable, snug hug.
    The bra is 12" from shoulder seam to bottom of band. Which is REALLY long for a bra. My @DanSkin NOW bra (http://bra.pe/XXqb/) is only 8" long and the average length of the others I own are about 10".
    The un-stretched band measurement is 20" and the stretched measurement is about 28". Where the band sits on my body, I could easily take a 26 or below band.
    The fabric is completely man made and quite firm with the green part 100% polyester and the white parts being 75% nylon and 25% spandex. The tag says "exclusive of trim," and the binding does not feel like either the green or the white part of the bra. The green fabric is a very tight weave with no stretch, the white fabric looks like a tight mesh-ish weave with a tiny bit of stretch and the binding has a bit more stretch than the white fabric and feels silkier and more supple. The elastic band is a super soft elastic with a fair bit of firm stretch.
    Now onto the only, real con about the bra. The. Arm. Holes. I think they were designed to come straight down and then straight back to the racer back. But in reality they are just too wide, they dig into the chest trying to conform to the body. You can clearly see this in my pictures, along with the markings they left behind (which were on my arms right at the outer end of my armpit). I am hoping that the model I have is an older one and that the newer ones have a better arm hole cut!

      Yikes. Such a positive review until the arm holes. Ugh. Like you, I hope the design has been updated!

    • 2

      Ouch, that arm hole cut. That's a worse bra sin than sliding wires. It makes my arms go numb.

    • 3

      Fortunately I really only started noticing this after the like 5 hour of wearing Love4Pollinators . But I could see it becoming really bad and noticeable if doing any rigorous exercising that includes the arms doing much of anything. It doesn't look the same way on the models on the site as it does on me, so fingers crossed!
      I'll probably end up editing mine, but will likely message lynx and ask. Women shouldn't have to alter a bra after purchase for it to be comfortable.
      How do you feel about the set up of my review? I'm trying hone in on a good structure as I would like to start a blog at some point.

    • LeProfessor I found your review easy to read and felt compelled to read it from beginning to end. :-) :-)

    This bra could be great, but I needed a cup size down (the dart instead of the zoom). The band fits well on my 31 inch ribcage. I am a little short-waisted and short overall (5' 4'') and I think this bra is designed for someone taller. This and the cup being a bit large led to too much fabric in my armpits and rubbing there. I generally wear a 34FF/G in Ewa Michalak (about a 32G in UK sizing) and have even fullness, semi soft tissue, projected breasts that need narrow wires.

    I am a bit torn on how I feel about this bra. The Lynx Sports Bra is toted as a lightweight, supportive sports bra for larger-breasted women. They have their own sizing system, which I found a little confusing.

    The good: It fits. No quad boob. No side boob. It does keep the bouncing to a minimum. It does not have wires, so it is quite comfortable to me.

    The bad: Since it is so lightweight, the bra isn't really lined. That means that all of the darts and seams are visible. I really prefer slightly padded bras; this one made me look really flat. I'm not a huge fan of the elastic band. To me, the general appearance is not very appealing and looks a little cheap. My least favorite thing is trying to put it on. The bra closes with one giant, plastic hook (like a swimsuit), but you have to either close it with your hands behind your back or ask someone to help you.

    • The fact that you think it looks cheap will probably not change, but as you get used to it, fastening it by yourself will probably not be hard at all :) The main thing to look for in sports bras is support and comfort, sadly style has to be pushed to the side sometimes because the sports bra industry still has a lot to learn. I for one really like the look of the Lynx sports bra but I agree with you that there should be more variety.

    This is the last sports bra you will ever need... unless you shrink from exercising when you're wearing it and then you'll have to sell it on here and get a smaller size.

    All fabric. The white part is more like regular fabric. The purple (comes in other colors) part is the restrictive fabric that is what holds your boobs in the magical way to keep you from bouncing... ever. (Well, unless it's too big on you.) It's a bit of a tangle to get into, so if you have issues with joints not cooperating, this may not be the bra for you.

    Support come from the SIDES/fabric, so no ... problems because of wire width or anything. You will probably have to scoop and place the boobs for best support and comfort, but once you do, they will not move.

    Doesn't matter what shape or vertical depth/placement you have - if the measurements are in their parameters, it will fit you.

    FROM LYNX Sportswear website:
    5Z fits:
    34" underbust/ribcage + 43-47" full bust
    35" underbust/ribcage + 44-48" full bust

    When this fit me, I was probably 35" underbust + 44-45" full bust

    ~~~~~~~
    Sad panda. This no longer fits me as I've shrunk too much. Even sadder? I barely wore the thing because I shrank without exercising. Now that I want a sports bra to wear for strength training, I need to sell this and get another one in my new size.
    (Modeled pictures are from when it actually fit me.)
    I've been having a lot of difficulty with finding a sports bra that can contain my tails of spence, which stretch all the way to my collarbone. Most sports bras don't cover them and so they bounce. The Lynx sports bra doesn't cover them either, but it squashes and minimizes so much that they simply cannot bounce. This bra doesn't look very nice, but I was pretty satisfied with my bounce test: it seems to get the job done.
    The straps are non-adjustable and a little too long so I will have to get them altered. Another thing which is less pleasant is ... how the bra is put on; it has to slip over the head and then be hooked from behind, which was a bit of a challenge. There is a bit of buckling in the back near the hook, but when I asked about this I was told it usually goes away after a few washes.
    I will probably have more to say after I try it out at the gym.
    This review covers the powder blue colorway.
    At the time of this review, my bust measures 94 cm when braless. This is a very thin bra and while wearing it my bust measures 88.5 cm, so it's needless to say that this bra flattens you out https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Despite the fact that the bra flattens my bust with 5,5 cm, it doesn't hurt at all. It's like a firm hug; your boobs spread out but it doesn't hurt. The straps are way too long for me (as always) so I use an elastic around them every time I work out. It keeps me bounce-free and never short of breath for the wrong reason (constricting band), what more can I ask for? https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":D" /> I'm so happy to have found a sports bra that does the job and fits comfortably. This bra is so comfortable that it's the first bra I reach for when I just want to lounge around the house.
    Great sports bra. Now that I've lost weight, it doesn't fit as well. Although it's loose it still holds everything well enough that if I need to I am comfortable wearing it.
    tl;dr LISTEN TO THE LYNX PEOPLE ABOUT SIZING. BUY A LYNX NOW.
    https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
    So. I got the 5Z - Lynx Sportswear ยป Zoom Sports Bra (LSBZ) according to their measurement chart, but somewhere in my head I think I am smaller than I measure (short boobs, nonstandard shape, etc.), so I write to ask if I can get this one (5D) to try on at the same time. They rock and say to leave a note. I order the 5 Zoom and they send this 5 Dart along with an envelope to send back the one that doesn't fit. (The ... nice lady says I will probably fit the Zoom, but she wants me to be sure by trying on the Dart, too.)
    I get both. Try on both immediately. Laugh because the Lynx lady was SOOOOOOOOOOOO right. A few days later, I do the "official" try on with pictures.
    Not sure if you can see in the pics, but... it doesn't matter what shape your boobs are. It doesn't matter if they're short. (I cannot say if it matters if they are extra tall - someone with those boobs will have to try it.) YOU NEED TO GET THE SIZE THAT FITS YOUR REAL DEPTH MEASUREMENTS.
    The Dart is too small for me. The band stretches and would fit me, but the other fabric flattens me down when I put the bra on. (If you see the pic, it looks like there's a lot of extra fabric in front, but the bra is smashing my boobs top down before scooping.)
    You have to scoop your boob and place it where it should be. The point of the dart (the sewn dart) will likely NOT be at your apex. It will be on the side of your boob somewhere toward the top half. You will have to stick your arm in the top and lift the boob into place and/or stick your hand underneath to place it.
    IT IS EXTRA DIFFICULT TO DO THIS WHEN YOU ARE TRYING ON A TOO-SMALL SIZE.
    After doing this, ouch! It may be hard to see in the pics, but there are severe pull lines across between my boobs. This size is just plain too small for me and actually provides me no support when jumping - You'd think the too-small bra would be tighter, but it's not. It just smashed me down, but doesn't hold me anywhere. When I jump in it, everything moves up and down.
    Soon I will update my 5 Zoom with pics and a review so you can see one that fits EVEN THOUGH MY BOOBS ARE SHORT.
    (Sorry for the caps, but certain parts I want to make stick out.)
    (Only marked Quality "Good" because I've not washed it a lot yet. Will update after seeing how it holds up.)
