Me: Center full, close set, immediately projected, omega shaped, very short waisted, shallow and wide underarm tissue,....
This is delightfully soft. The lace cups, straps, and band are fully lined. Such a comfort-improving feature. Additionally, the band under the cups is reinforced with limited stretch flat cording (this may not be the correct term). This is a much-appreciated, supportive feature that is absent in most bralettes. Sincerely, if you need a bralette, move this model to your short list of contenders.
Dimensionally, this is similar to the vast majority of bralettes: it caters to smaller, wide-set breasts. The cup is large enough to cover my short-rooted 30Gs. However, shortening the ...band and eliminating the center separation are essential for a viable fit on my close-set breasts. When these alterations are in place, the cup is no longer big enough, and the cup seams sit on my breasts. Ugh.
The straps are partially adjustable and may pose a problem for more petite users. Additionally, they may not be long enough for tall and low-set users. For reference, I am wearing this bralette with the straps as tight as the design allows.
I like this bralette very much and have seriously considered investing time into alterations. But, it is not ideal for my particular breast characteristics. Sigh.
Ditto! I keep looking for something that accomdates inner fullness and something less wide set.
revisa Kindred Bravely Organic Cotton is by far the best, but it is a bit difficult to remove when damp which makes it less desirable in hot, humid climates. The band, busty sizes only, provides admirable support for a simple cotton bra.
Thanks for the heads up. I really prefer when they have a back closure and a bit more bralette styling.... which is probably why I'm still looking lol.
Salem's Scissors is adding a back fastener to the Kindred Bravely design. And, I know the fabric will be more visually appealing when she is finished, too. I'm so excited :-)
Love4Pollinators that's a great idea! On Facebook I messaged KB about the OC XS busty and they informed me that they've rolled out a new sizing system. I extrapolated that was their way of saying they won't make it. It is still not on the site. What a shame, I would have definitely ordered one or two. But maybe the SS seamstress would consider filling that hole in the market. And with a back fastener? Even better.
yogurt, The small-busty from the past will be the x-small busty of the future. I promise: it is coming :-) :-) We should ask "When will the x-small busty be in stock?" That is not a question I've asked yet. I'm filled with trepidation that it may not fit after the size system update. I've requested an x-small extra-busty....that size, I can promise will never happen ;-)
I'm eager and grateful for @Salem'sScissors help :-)
This is a very comfortable, soft sports bra that's ideal for lounging. I would lift weights in this, but I would not jump around or do cardio. I wear a 36C in most brands and the size M fits me well. Height 5'7", weight 145lbs. My breast shape: Shallow-low projection, wide root, full on bottom.
I keep trying Mae bralettes because they used to produce some bras in 30 bands, so I was hoping they would have something suitable for small band, medium cup wearers who don't fit into normal bralette sizing. However, based on my experience so far, this hasn't been true. The Mae Lace Wirefree Padded Bralette is a great longline bralette, but it doesn't meet my needs.
The main problem is that Mae's bands, like most mainstream brands, are too big. Sizing down to XS in the band means that the cups end up several sizes too small. I tried this bralette in both XS and S: - ...XS: Band feels ok, can fit large 28 or small 30. Cups are quite small, around 28D/30C - S: Band is too loose and not supportive, would fit large 30 or small 32. Cups fit 30D-DD/32C-D
Since I am currently a 28E, the band of the XS is OK for me, but the cups are about two sizes too small and give me.a completely smushed look. The S looks like it fits, as the cups fit my body, but the band is so loose I feel absolutely no support. However, because this has a wide band with 4 hooks. it will stay in place and not ride up. The main issue is that the elastic and lace used on the band are too flimsy and not up to the standard of a normal bra band, thus contributing to the loose feel although the measurements appear OK.
The same dahlia floral lace is used throughout the bra, from the cup overlay to the cradle and wings. The cradle is backed with nonstretch tricot. The cups are molded one piece foam cups and have a triangular shape. They are on the shallow side, but not as bad as some bralettes I've seen. Straps are very skinny. Mae does list this as being designed for A-C cups, so we can assume that support is not the name of the game here, but it still shouldn't feel like you have pressed some foam cups against your chest with no lift from the band.
However, if I were a smaller cup size, 28D/30C, I think I would really like this bralette. Despite the obvious hassle of hooking 4 sets of hooks by yourself, it does look nice once it's on, and the lace doesn't feel compressive on the ribs like a longline usually does on me. The foam is normal, thin foam used for "lightly lined" bras and isn't heavy padding. It helps even out your shape, although in my case since there is band support, the shape it gives me is a bit flat. I think that if you were the correct size, it would give you decent enough shaping that you could wear this under clothing as a normal bra.
There are definitely flaws in the design and it's unsuitable for small band/medium cup wearers, but for self-supporting 28D/30C sizes who want a casual longline that can be worn under clothing (or potentially as a crop top), this is a really nice little option. Read more 420 more words

Recently I've been looking for more lined wireless bras that I can wear when running errands, at times where an underwire bra seems too much, but an unlined bralette is not enough. I picked up a few of these bras from Amazon's private label Mae.
I started off with my normal size, 30DD, but unfortunately found that the cups run about a half size large. Specifically, these are a bit taller than other molded bras that I'm used to, so the 30DD ended up providing too much coverage. I reordered 30D and this ended up fitting much better, since it is also about a half ...cup large (otherwise 30D is now normally too small for me). Thankfully the band is still TTS while being far from snug.
The construction of the cups will softly push you towards the center, so it creates natural cleavage, which is surprising in a wireless bra. It looks smooth under clothing and is pretty indistinguishable from a t-shirt bra. Many reviewers noted the vertical boning between the cradle and wings as being uncomfortable, and I found that this was noticeable if I'm slouching, but not noticeable when out and about. I never wear anything underwire when I'm at home, so this will not be a suitable option for loungewear, but fits the bill for what I was looking for. The bra is made from very soft and silky microfiber and foam, so I can see why the boning was added to provide extra stability as the bra would be a bit too floppy without it. Overall a nice find and a great wireless option for 30 bands!
I've been wearing this bra all summer for casual errands and have really enjoyed it a lot, and am now looking for a dupe from another brand since the 30 band options are no longer available from Amazon. Read more 210 more words

I love the colour and the fabric, but I still can't understand why all brands always make bralettes for wide set breasts. It's so frustrating :(
