The 32D - Maidenform » Custom Lift Tailored T-shirt Bra (09729) is a standard yet appealing microfiber satin bra featuring underwire cups that are seamless, contoured, and gently padded. I assume it's super sturdy as people say it lasts for years even with machine washing.

The molded cups are a bit stiff but still comfortable. It's bothersome that they tend to retain their "mold" (as opposed to moving with the body some) no matter what one does -- resulting in gaping at times. As far as the padding goes, in the 32D the padding is small and crescent-shaped measuring about 3cm in width situated at the bottom ... of the cup. The padding is NOT removable.

The gore/ center panel is low to show off cleavage. The wings are satin on the outside but lined with ultra-soft fleece on the inside. The band is comfortable but has a tendency to be unflattering, causing "back fat" or rolls. The band is tagless and features a 3-column, 2-row color-matched coated metal hook-and-eye closure.

The entirely elastic straps are comfortable, fully adjustable, and wide-set allowing for an open neckline. They feature color-matched coated metal hardware and adjusters.

I am about 5' 7", 125 lbs, with breasts that have tall+wide roots, average projection, and even all over, normally a 30DDD/E, and on the whole, I really enjoy this bra. It's comfortable and provides a great lift (a rare combination) -- despite the unflattering wings. I do have to hook it on the tightest column, but that's to be expected since my underbust is 29.5". I can also fit the 32DD when matching to my larger breast. If you're in the market for an every-day lift/push-up this would be a good one to try (especially at the sale price)!

There are gaps at the top of the cup. Other than that issue, the fabric and shape held up for an entire year with 3 bras alternating wearing. The band and straps are comfortable until I lost 8 lbs and now I'm having issues with fit. I would buy this bra again.

    • Yeah, the gaping is so annoying! It is otherwise such a great bra.

I bought this bra when I still was vastly misguided on what my size really was. I had first gotten several 34Cs which felt fine in the store, but after being worn and washed for a couple weeks, I quickly determined were not right for me. So, still reluctant to actually be fitted professionally, I made due by getting three of these 32D Custom Lift Demis by Maidenform. I really do love these bras. They're extremely comfortable, and the satin finish makes them feel very luxurious. Now that I've had them for over a year, I am starting to spill out at the top/center, something I've gotten used ... to with most bras I've owned, as I'm currently a 30F, and likely was at least a 30DD when I bought these. Obviously it's a very forgiving bra, and it actually fits quite well to the sides underneath the arms. I never had any problems with the underwire poking or causing any discomfort. The "custom lift" comes from the little ridge of padding at the bottom of the cup, with each cup size featuring a different size of padding. Honestly, whether it just be the shape or size of my breasts in the cup, or the shape or size of the padding, I can't really notice much difference it makes, and most of the shaping and lifting comes from the molding of the bra itself. It does provide a nice shape though, and the material and edge of the cup lay nicely underneath any t-shirt. All in all, I can't really say how the fit would work for someone who is actually the size the bras are meant for, but if you do manage to fit into it, it's a comfy, reliable bra fit for everyday wear.

    • Yeah... I'm also of the impression that the little sliver of padding at the bottom doesn't do anything, but padding notwithstanding, the bra is still able to offer a nice lift!
