The 32D - Maidenform ยป Custom Lift Tailored T-shirt Bra (09729) is a standard yet appealing microfiber satin bra featuring underwire cups that are seamless, contoured, and gently padded. I assume it's super sturdy as people say it lasts for years even with machine washing.
The molded cups are a bit stiff but still comfortable. It's bothersome that they tend to retain their "mold" (as opposed to moving with the body some) no matter what one does -- resulting in gaping at times. As far as the padding goes, in the 32D the padding is small and crescent-shaped measuring about 3cm in width situated at the bottom ...of the cup. The padding is NOT removable.
The gore/ center panel is low to show off cleavage. The wings are satin on the outside but lined with ultra-soft fleece on the inside. The band is comfortable but has a tendency to be unflattering, causing "back fat" or rolls. The band is tagless and features a 3-column, 2-row color-matched coated metal hook-and-eye closure.
The entirely elastic straps are comfortable, fully adjustable, and wide-set allowing for an open neckline. They feature color-matched coated metal hardware and adjusters.
I am about 5' 7", 125 lbs, with breasts that have tall+wide roots, average projection, and even all over, normally a 30DDD/E, and on the whole, I really enjoy this bra. It's comfortable and provides a great lift (a rare combination) -- despite the unflattering wings. I do have to hook it on the tightest column, but that's to be expected since my underbust is 29.5". I can also fit the 32DD when matching to my larger breast. If you're in the market for an every-day lift/push-up this would be a good one to try (especially at the sale price)! I wear this bra almost 3-4 times a week and have done so for years. I am so reliant on it I would feel guilty if I did not share on Bratabase. Nothing exceptional about it, except that it does everything well. Perfect under t's and tanks. Straps stay in place. Uber comfy.
Thanks, L4P. Being wide set and a C cup, fitting is not usually a big problem once I find the right size band. With that requirement, bras that will work for males are just not that common. So I have to shop a lot.

This is one of the bras I found on my way to a better fit for me. When I bought it it ran small in the band - more like a 30 or 32. A couple of months later and I find it is fitting alot more like a 34 in the band and the straps are no longer capable of going short enough. The cups are really far apart and the material creases when you bend over alot or (dare I say) slouch. The material is soft and sort of spongy - not bad, and I like the wide band with 3 hooks for the support (nice on the back). I bought it on clearance so I can't complain, but you get what you pay for in construction and wear as always.
I would say cups run slightly small (compared to Wacoal sizing). This almost fits. I will cut out the lining for a roomier cup and it will also be more suitable for warm weather. I had to check if I had measured this bra before I altered it! I have this in 34D and cut out the lining but I had quad boob on inner cups after a while. The 34D will be listed as a give away today!
Cup height measured on lace (lining 15,5 cm).
Straps can be also be worn crossed or as halterneck. Total length on one strap is 54 cm.
I have reviewed this in 34D navy and cup size was more like 34C. This fits better and feels like a 34D. Not sure if sizes varies with colourway or if you should buy this in a larger sister size for correct fit.
Convertible straps. Hooks on both ends of shoulder straps. Can be crossed or worn as halter.
Comfortable, More comfortable push-up padding than most other bras. The lace is pretty. The color is gorgeous- I love the nice, dark purplish red. I wear it on the tightest and middle hook.
Thank you for adding your bras, but it would be super helpful if you could add the bra measurements too. Many of us really rely on the database here for researching bras and comparing to other brands etc, so we would be forever grateful for your addition of measurements too. So when you get some free time, please consider adding them. Thank you!! :-)
I just measured my 4 fav bras. Hope it helps. Good advice to measure. Now I can compare to other bras. Thanks.
Thank you very much! The data will help many who research bras on the site. :-) It is so useful in comparisons between sizes, styles, and brands too! Thanks again!
This is a new style from Maidenform. Perfect t-shirt bra Super comfy. Similar to "One Fabulous Fit"(7959), but comes in a 40 band, which, as a guy, I need.
There are gaps at the top of the cup. Other than that issue, the fabric and shape held up for an entire year with 3 bras alternating wearing. The band and straps are comfortable until I lost 8 lbs and now I'm having issues with fit. I would buy this bra again.
My best fitting, most comfortable bra, nice rounded but low profile shape (which I like), looks great under everything. Wish it came in a 30 band, but the 32 works well enough on the tightest hook. I suspect that since my measurements are 27/32, most bratabase users would consider the fit atrocious. But it works for me, and I've yet to find a basic, everyday bra I like in a 28 or 30 band. Many of them are super cute on you guys, but they're designed for juniors or much younger women. At my age (51) I want something versatile and practical that doesn't push my already high boobs up to my neck, so this fits the bill.
Although this bra is too large in the band and too small in the cup, it's somewhat comfortable enough for everyday wear. I bounce when I walk, but it's currently my only option. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
I realize now that this is the wrong size for me, but in my ignorance I thought it fit great. It's soo comfy. After 3 years, no stitching has come out & the underwires are still in place. Tho, the light padding on the top is starting to roll or something and the straps have sssstrrreeeched so bad!
I hate that my boobs don't fill the top and at the same time I get quads in the bottom center because they fall into each other. This bra is really for shallower, maybe firmer boobs.
The underwire on the armpit side is a very steep vertical. The cups are fairly far apart in my opinion, and I experienced quad boob (and noticeable flattening) as a result, though I still filled the cup in all ways (probably because it was shallower than some other bras I've tried). If your breasts are further apart, this would probably work well. My breasts have way more inner/center fullness, and this bra just isn't doing it for me.
I think this bra fits really nicely, despite the cup width being a little on the wider side. The cups are a little stiff and does not follow and bend with the body as much as I would like it to, however, it's also perhaps the reason why that the cups don't wrinkle under my boobs at all unlike my other bras (!), and I like that. There is some padding near the underwire too which I think also helps prevent the bra from wrinkling, and also provides some support to the breasts. The gore is really short and low too which helps with close-set breasts. I think ...it does a nice job with structure and support but the band remains a little big for me (if only I could get this bra in a smaller band size...)
The bra looks pretty simple but pretty all the same. The material is smooth, and the band is really comfy. Another thing which I love about this bra is that the back band (where the hooks are) is slightly taller than most of my bras (even though it has 2 rows of hooks still) and I think it may be what gives me better support too. This bra is too small it being only a B cup to where I am more like a DD/E cup in 38 or 40 band. It's a t-shirt bra with molded foam cups and 2 hooks in the back. The cups are definitley not full coverage.
The fit on this bra is borderline - I do get some quadding with it but it's barely noticeable when I have a top on - the next cup size up is a little too big so clearly it's not really the right bra for me. I've been making do with it until I could find something that was a better fit so now it's time to get rid of this one.
Thanks for the thorough review!
