It is a perfect bra. Underwires fit just right, the cups are incredibly supportive, and the band is made in a way that doesen't cut in the flesh while providing such good support that I feel that the straps are there just to be pretty. And indeed they are, together with the rest of the bra. Only downside for me is -again - the tight top. There is a line of fabrics that has to go. I find this issue in all bras that aren't half-cups, so it's not the fault of this particular bra.
It's so pretty! The lovely pink embrodiery on the same-coloured surface, the slightly more ... radiant strawberry color on the edges and bows, the keyhole central gore... It isn't a bra under plain T-shirts, it's a bra that you're supposed to feel like a sexy woman in.
A sexy AND supported woman. I'm totally in love with the construction of the band. It is only two hooks, that's true, but the fabrics it's made of acts like a firm elastic - this means that the two strips of elastics that are normally found on the edges of bras are jojined in a way that minimalizes any rolls that may occur in other bras. Indeed, this is the tightest bra I have, but it cuts in less than my loosest one. The fabrics of the cups is very firm and non-stretchy, which along with good cup construction atributes to the perfect supportive fit.
What to say more? I love everything about this bra.
Aaand I grew out of it. Too bad.

Regarding the extra fabric at the top of the cup, Elixir by Lejaby has half cup models, although I'm not totally sure if they range up to G cups.
This one you got seems to be the full cup model :)
