I wish this would fit me better then it does, as it’s the only bra I’ve found so far that doesn’t sit on breast tissue both on the side and middle. It fits well enough to keep and is the most comfortable underwire bra So far. The cups are quite tall and it’s more suited for people with wider roots, the straps are set too far apart for me but should be okay for people with more average or wide shoulders. The amount of support was enough for me even during my short run to the train. The band runs true to size and the cups slightly larger then ...some other 32F’s I’ve tried but I think that’s mostly the width and height.
I love the polka dots and the lace is beautiful and soft enough for my sensitive skin. I can’t find this particular colorway on the m&s site itself, I bought this one via zalando. I found out there are 2 versions of this style, this one starts at 32bands and has cup sizes b-g available, the other one starts at 28bands and has f-k cups. As I’m within both size ranges I’m gonna try out the other one in the hope that it fits better then this one. Read more 101 more words
I didn't realize Marks & Spencer had such cute bras. That store isn't on my radar. I appreciate the profile shots of this size and the next cup size down, Lunamoon . How my shape looks from the side is often the make-or-break test of a bra for me. The profile photo of the 32E shows a markedly less flattering shape and escaping tissue on the sides. If it's evident on someone with narrowish roots and short breasts, it's going to be even more obvious on someone like me. Thanks for the review and pics, especially from the side!
I’ve tried 32E, F and G in this one, the band is quite consistent between the sizes and a good fit for me. I find the jumps between the cups quite large compared to some other bras. The E is much too small in the cups and the G much too large, the F is the correct size for me but the shape isn’t perfect for me. The wires of the E are better fit then the F for me. I believe I have average to narrow roots and this bra is more suited for people with wider roots. I also have narrow shoulders and this one is more suited for people with average to wide shoulders. I have short roots and this style is a bit too tall for me.
It’s so soft and comfortable but the reviews weren’t kidding when they said the cups ran large. I figured as I’m kinda in between 32F/FF the F should be okay but it’s at least one cup size too large for me. I’m planning on ordering it again in 32DD and 32E and hopefully those will fit me better. The bands seems slightly large as I accidentally hooked it on the middle hooks instead of the last but that might be caused by the too large cups. It has pockets for prosthetic breasts for who needs those as it designed for people after a mastectomy. Those would be good for padding out one side for people with more asymmetry as well. Of course it’s also suitable for after a breast reduction or augmentation or as a comfortable lounge bra.
It so soft and comfortable but the cups are too round for my conical breasts. The pictures of me in the 32F and E look a bit pointy but that’s caused by me not filling out the cups I had to go down 2.5 cup sizes from my usual 32F/FF to get a okay fit. The inside has an molded cup but unlike most molded cups this one is not very shallow. It’s covered by a soft t-shirt fabric which hides any potential gaping or quad boob. There are pockets on the inside for a prosthetic breast as it’s designed as a post mastectomy bra. It’s also suitable for a breast reduction or augmentation or like me as a lounge bra. I really appreciate the cotton fabric on hot summer days. It’s quite a stretchy 32 and I feel like a 30 would give me a bit more support but it’s sadly not made below a 32 band. It’s size range is 32A-42GG and it’s available in white and grey only. Its exempt from VAT so it’s very affordable.
Since the gyms opened back up I needed an upgrade from my old poorly fitting sports bra but I didn’t want to spend a ton as I expect my size to change when exercising again. This 2 pack from m&s seemed like a good deal and will definitely help me get fit again. The band feels quite tight like sports bra’s generally do but measures like a typical 32 band. It compresses me 10cm/4” from my leaning bust measurement but is identical to my lying measurement. I still got a bit of bounce but I forgot to tighten the straps (this is how the pictures are taken) I since ...tightened the straps a bit and that helped if I would cross the straps in the back that should reduce some more. I think this is the best support I can get out of a compression sports bra and this is enough for me as I don’t do very high impact exercises. You might notice a stain on the green one which I believe is caused by the other bra in the pack as it’s the same grey. It arrived this way but I expect it to wash out but I’ll definitely wash them separately for the first time. Not much else to say about them except that the mint green makes me feel like my skin looks tomato red/a very bad sunburn) Read more 122 more words
I thought this bra was going to be too big but it ended up fitting alright. I have no issues with this bra. It is broad wired and shallow. The band fits comfortably on the middle hook.
Another great bra from Scharminkeltje!! : ) This one is a molded cup, and fits very well. I had to add a band extender (2 extra loops), but with it, the band fit is great! A little voiding on my right side (my small breast), but I can fix that. The left cup fits just right though. Wires fit very well with no poking! The gore tacks perfectly; right up against me!
haha! i actually would consider that style to be modern, that is what all my friends in highschool wore and the bras that i consider "granny" are way more lacy and nice fabric. what a topsy-tuvry word we live it. lol
This spacer bra has a true-to-size band, decent cup depth, and is lower coverage than other spacer bras. That's like everything I've been looking for, so I've been trying to make it work. I don't think it will though. The first thing I had to do was remove all the tags, but that didn't solve the discomfort. The low gore is quite painful for me. The straps have an odd design where they are thicker at the top - 1.25" with spacer foam padding. It sounds like a good idea, but on my shoulders the sides of the straps just dig in even worse and itch. Also, of ...course, definitely not the straps you want showing with your cute summer tops. There is open space at the tops of the cups as I move. I put this bra on before work to give it a chance, but decided to take it off again before leaving. Each time trying it on after that has been similar.
If I rub the material the wrong way, it squeaks a bit. Very odd! It reminds me of my neoprene car seat covers. I didn't expect a lot of quality buying this for $5 though. It seems this brand has several spacer bras over the years, and I may even try another if it comes my way for the right price and has normal straps. Read more 121 more words
This is a very simple, comfortable, everyday t-shirt bra. I got this M+S bra for $12 (incl. shipping) on eBay, and for that price it's an excellent quality. It's a very, very soft, "brushed" fabric. The wires are extra padded, and I notice the difference from my other M+S bra in comfort. I have a bony ribcage, so padded wiring is a huge plus to me.
The cups are molded, but soft & flexible, and thickly lined (or a very light, even padding for coverage, however you want to see it). It's a very nice color, somewhere between a rose-nude & ivory. It has a very narrow & subtle ...lace edge & center bow for decoration. It's more functional than pretty though.
I thought the bra was a demi cup (the listing did not say), but it looks & fits like a full coverage bra now that I see it in person (and I think it's meant to be full coverage). As usual, I think a demi/balconette would suit me better, both taste & fit-wise. The straps are too thick for my taste also, being about 1/2" thick. The straps could adjust shorter also; I wear them as short as possible already & it's brand new.
The band fits me on the tightest hook comfortably, but not tightly. I wouldn't say it's too big because it doesn't ride up in the back...but I can fit more than 2 fingers & ideally, I should have a smaller band. I knew I'd have to wear a 30 band on the tightest hook though (they're just easier to find than 28s!). However, the band measures nearly the same as the 28E M+S bra in their DD+ line.
The cups are just ever so slightly too big. The cups gap about 1/2 cm just at the top edge when I bend over & hunch my shoulders (as if I were to pick something up off the floor); but when standing upright or bending without hunching my shoulders, the cups lay well with no gapping. The wires seem about 1 cm too wide on the sides also, but they are not uncomfortable. They don't poke anywhere at all. This leads me to think a 30D would be too small in the cups (just as the 28DD was in this brand), and that I might be in-between sizes due to my breast shape, but I may try more 30Ds in the future just to see.
I have decided not to keep this. I just find the coverage very ugly... I prefer less coverage in a bra. Read more 317 more words
This bras cup size is insanely huge. I am laughing so hard I am crying. I am a 30E or 32 DD in regular bras. I can fit my entire hand inside the cup with my breast to fill it. The shape is molded so it looks like I have giant breasts when I really don't. This is def made for someone who is perky and very projected. The band is true to size for a 32. The side goes up to high and digs I to my armpit and hurts. Fabric seems nice enough. Cannot believe how huge the cups are...
This is the only bra that has ever fit me out-of-the-box. I need shallow, wide bras but cannot wear balconettes. My breasts are very close-set (pinky-tip just fits in-between), so I almost always need to narrow the gore of a bra by taking in the gore or even just removing it and sewing the inner edges of the cups together. This bra basically has no center gore at all; it's kind of just a continuation of the wire channel that connects the cups. The wires are extremely shallow, wide curves, and there is room to move them around in the channel to where you want them. Even though ...there is not much wire going up the outside of the cup, there is added fabric there that provides side support.
I also would prefer a 28 band, but those are hard to find in the US for a reasonable price. I usually take in 30 bands and still wear them on the tightest hook. This bra's band is tight and study enough for me to wear on the tightest hook without alteration (27.25 snug underbust, 26.75 BTT).
Due to the thicker fabric- kind of a satin swoosh- that goes from the outer edge of the cup and underneath about 3/4 of the way, this bra kind of lifts you in and up. This sounds good, but it is a little too much and the shape ends up being slightly pointy as a result. It's not that noticeable, but it's not my preference.
It's pretty in a kind of bridal way. I am not much of a lace-and-satin type, so I wish I could find a shallow gore-less bra in a plainer design that wouldn't show under t-shirts (and with a 28 band. I'm hunting...). However, I am just glad that I didn't have to pay for something that I needed to basically re-sew immediately, which is how it usually goes.
About sizing... I usually wear a 30d (30dd in very shallow bras), and the US size is listed as 30d. I have no idea why M&S seems to think that a UK 30dd is a US30d, so I honestly don't know what the size of this bra really is.
If you are shallow and close-set, definitely give this a try! Read more 266 more words
My first longline, I can see I've been missing out!
A very good bra, it's made with extremely soft and comfortable materials just like the M&S Angel teens range. It seems to be of high quality and was only £5.50.
The fit is good and fairly true to size for a 28B. Though it is quite snug in the band, probably due to being a longline, but this works in my favour. Time will tell how quickly it stretches out. It needed no adjusting, no bending the wires or adjusting the band, it just fit right out of the packet.
I'm so happy to see M&S stocking sizes like 28B and hope they'll do this again in future, I'd have got a second of this bra if I could afford it.
For some reason M&S stopped letting United States buyers purchase from their UK website, which is a shame because when you buy bras from them from their US website, they change the sizing and labels, but if you purchase the same bra from the UK website (like I used to do in the past) the label will state and the fit will be example: US 32D = UK 32D but when you are from the US and buy from the US website the label will state and fit will be example: US 32C = UK 32D. I've reached out to them in the past and notified them of ...this annoying conversion rate but nothing came from it. Fast forward a few years later and I decided to try M&S again, but now they won't let me purchase from their UK store from the US... sooo... the sizing is incorrect and inconsistent. I've gained weight so I purchased a "US 32DD" bra, it runs large because it is really a US 32DDD fitting bra.
So the fit is large, the cups are stretchy measured between 9.5"-10", the wires are too long under my armpit. The fabric is cotton, mostly. The elastic on the top of the cups is a little scratchy and presses down on my tissue a bit more than I'd like. Read more 113 more words
It's an ok bra. Fits me well (only bra I have at the moment in my size) all my other bras are from pre pregnancy and when i was getting measured the old plus 4 method so are well out size wise It's comfortable and supports me well I do prefer a bra that gives more lift and cleavage. The cups come quite high so no good if you want to wear a low cut top or vest top. But as it's a t-shirt bra it's fine for work where I need to be covered up
The moment I tried it on in a Marks & Spencer store that no longer exists, I knew I was in the presence of the bra gods. My shape was transformed; slimmer, neater, faster, stronger. And no more splayed underarm uniboob for these puppies! Oh no, my breasts were facing front with just a hint of point, like dainty hounds scenting distant yet oh-so-sweet prey. I bought two in white, one in black, and even had the foresight to buy one in a slightly larger size. But youth and vanity cannot compete with time...
Fast forward eight to ten years and I still ...squeeze myself into the black version of these beauties. Pity me, a thirty-something 32H cramming herself into a 34E in vain attempt to create the illusion of her glory days. I can deny the quad-boob no longer. This week I've self-prescribed an intervention.
Already two fresh-faced bras have failed at the first hurdle. Not enough side support. Who am I kidding? Not enough anything. I have worn no other bra in nearly a decade. It just doesn't feel right. I am bramogomous.
Here's my plea; if anyone knows of any bra that can match the engineered magnificence of the (somewhat degrained and ratty) corsetry in that embarrassing pic up there, I will gladly gift them my firstborn. Which technically does not exist but it's the thought that counts. Help me, bra-warriors. You're my boobs' only hope...
The fit runs larger in this bra. I am a 38GG and I am wearing a 38G. It is a part of a two bra set. Good as a starter sports bra.
Pros: * The underwire is perfect size, doesnot dig into breast tissue or underarm. * The bra straps can be removed and rearranged to make it a cross back for tighter support. * Functions and looks more like a basic bra and not so much a sports bra.
Cons: * Extremely basic. * Not for stronger impact sports.
Sadly, this doesn't seem to be a "real" 30. Comparing it to the 30 I know from Cleo and Masquerade, it feels way too tight and I won't keep it. Also, plunge-typically, it rather cuts into my breast at the top. Otherwise, it's a very nice looking plunge! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
Good: -Silicon strips to prevent slipping. -Small cup separation -This bra has a smaller band length compared to the others in the same size. But this inconsistency suits me well. -A decent multiway bra.
Bad: -Silicon strips may cause abrasion on the skin if worn for too long.
Fits perfectly both with my back as straight as I can but also still extremely uncomfortable and well fitting while slouched in my wheelchair like I usually am.
