I would actually recommend this for projected/narrow girls looking for a strapless bra, though I would specify that I think it will work way better for soft than firm tissue. It isn't as wide as many I've seen and is in no danger of migrating downwards. The gore is, however, wide and very tall, which could be a comfort issue for many people. I will be keeping this because it's a doable strapless bra and I rarely wear strapless things in general, and I will not be using the removable straps/wearing it when I'm not wearing something strapless. I would recommend going up one cup size to fit your boobies better, as it would definitely be too small in a 28FF for me but is workable in a 28G. The cup has one vertical seam near the center (but closer to the gore) and the underwires are hidden on the outside.
This looks way better on you than it did on e! Yay! Glad it can serve its purpose as a strapless. That's all I'm looking for in one - I don't expect perfection
me* I meant. Not "e." Silly phone.
I have this in a 28G as well and it's really interesting to see the differences we have in fit despite being so close in size and shape! Whenever the bra is off it has SEVERE, very distinct wrinkle lines at the bottom of the cup going around to the sides- you can definitely tell which part of the cups my boobs sit in and which just cling to my ribs! (Although I have had mind around 2 years already) It's the only strapless I own currently and I am definitely searching for a different one, preferable in a pale person nude so I can wear it under white tops!
I ordered a replacement to this one in a 30G and I'm curious to see how much wider it is. My favorite part of this bra was how narrow it was, but it was definitely not big enough for me - the closed off tops of the cups created quadboob city. With no 28GG available and the band running so tight I just went up to a 30G. Of course there were no black ones left in that color so I had to settle for white. It should be here in a couple of days. I hope it has enough additional cup depth without being 6" wide like every other strapless I've ever tried, because right now it's by far the most promising strapless bra I've run across.
My shape: mid-height, front-facing, very close-set but not center-full teardrop with tall shallow upper roots and loads of projection/depth underneath (but moderate overall projection), wide side roots with even more side fullness, and self-supporting very firm tissue allover
I got this one new without tags a few weeks ago from a reddit user, even though it's been discontinued for quite a while. It's a beautiful shade of red, and the stretch satin used for the straps, the band, and the upper edge of the cups is wonderfully soft. It came with matching size XS Brazilian-style briefs (lower profile at the waist, with a slightly ruched center back seam), which ...fit over my 40-inch hips (on top of other underwear) but are tight enough that all their cute sexy styling is lost in the stretch. *sigh*
The cups are too shallow at the base. It's always disappointing, but I haven't yet found a bra with enough depth at the wire, except maybe the 30F - Masquerade » Maia (5221) which is still not enough but translated into lift and Cakes-on-a-Plate cleavage instead of empty lower cups. In this case, the band is tight enough to keep the wires in my IMF, and the padding is just stiff enough to hold itself firm without buckling, which works out as a little bit of lift (but not as nice as the Maia). They're super open on top, perfect for the shallowness of my upper roots. This 2-piece vertical seam half-cup style of Masquerade's seems to work really well for me so far! I'm sad all over again to have finally had my chance to try them long after they were discontinued.
I have mixed feelings about the straps. For one, they're only luscious soft satin on the front half, which also means they're only half-adjustable. For another, they're literally in my armpits. It makes for a nice wide open neckline, which is sexy and I like, but also makes the top edge of the cup buckle in almost every position I move in, and it means that tightening the straps a little doesn't help take any of the weight of my breasts off the bottom of the cups (a trick I use to prevent the creases in my other too-shallow stiffer cups).
The wings are lovely and tall, and the wires are extremely wide, just touching the very edge of my shoulder blade when I stretch my arms up - they might be the widest I've had, which is great for me. I know lots of ladies have problems with scaling in this size range and how manufacturers like to make large cups take up 2/3 of the small band, but my Super Side Boob can't get enough and I have some fullness all the way back. They are too steeply curved for my Nike-swoosh shape, so the fullness doesn't exactly follow the wire past my tail of spence, but I'll take what I can get.
The band is a little tight, I think, and resists a little when I inhale deeply. It's not as stretchy as Freya, but it feels supportive anyway, and certainly keeps things in place. The height of the wings is sort of irrelevant, being basically on my back as they are, but they are tall enough considering the band tapers to a narrow 2 hook-width (3 sets). The satin back-band is very soft.
I will definitely keep it, even if it's only for going out and date night. It certainly makes things look good enough, and it's a great color for it, too. Read more 483 more words
I bought this in the AW12 colour which is black/ivory.
The bra is very gorgeous. It is well made and looks luxurious to me. From other reviews on Delphi bras I have read, I found out that the straps are foam padded, however, mine aren't. It feels like it's a piece of satin folded two to three times before getting sewed. It does not affect the comfort for me. The wide straps are very very comfortable. Some might not like the wide straps but for me, this is the exact reason I lust for this bra in the first place.
As for the fit, the cups fits perfectly on my ...28G boobs. While I crumble on the bottom of my 28G Rhea, I didn't in this one. I got Marie Antoinette cleavage, which I love. Since halfcups are perfect on my FOT boobs, this is a winner. One thing I noticed though, is the construction of the bra different for GG+ cups? I saw two vertical seams on 28H, but for mine, there's only one vertical seams.
The band is a typical of Masquerade bras. It is not stretchy at all. I find that I need to use an extender and hook it on the last hook of the extender to be comfortable. My underbust is 27" and this bra stretches to 27.5", but because I like super snug band, this is perfect for me. Other who doesn't like uber tight bands might want to consider sizing a band up and go down a cup from your usual size -> sister sizing.
The shape it gives is similar to Rhea and the embroidery doesn't show under clothing, unless the top is thin. All in all, I'm so glad I finally get this bra! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":D" /> Read more 188 more words
This bra is a little too big in the cups for me, as it runs quite large. It's also quite tight in the band, which is great for me as I really need a 26. It's a great bra if you're full on top as the cups are quite open, but even if you're not you can still get a good Marie Antoinette style cleavage! It's one of the few balconette bras I can manage to wear, as my boobs are very close set and the centre gore on this is narrow. The straps are only partly adjustable, which is a problem for me as I can't get them short enough.
It's a gorgeous bra, really sexy and very well made. Perhaps not everyone's cup of tea for everyday wear due to the cleavage, but the rounded shape is very wearable under a high-necked top too. I'd definitely recommend it!
I wore this bra during pregnancy. This bra is very stiff in both the band and the straps. It fits more like a 26 band. I usually prefer a bra with more flexibility. Otherwise, it's an attractive, supportive bra.
Well, I love the color - I immediately snapped it up on braswap once I saw it was the bravissimo exclusive blue. It's beautiful just like all Masquerades. I'm not sure on the fit. There's tons of information about this bra on here, but here's what I found in regards to mine specifically.
Wire width is ok, wing height is better than my Celene. Cups look and feel soooo shallow. I don't see much visible wrinkling in the bottom, but it feels like the bra is trying to push my boobs in and up and my boobs don't really want to. I think ...all of this would be somewhat mitigated if the bra was just a bit deeper, but I only measured it at 9.1" and 9.5" seems to be my sweet spot. I fear a 28GG would have tons of extra space at the top of the very open cups.
Oh and this band is tiiiight. Stretched to 27." I can close it, if I don't want to breathe. So I added an extender. I'll probably post a fit request. Read more 82 more words
I just transferred my Parfait Charlotte for this bra and I'm SO loving it!! I wasn't even looking for it. I was just trying to find a happy home for my Charlotte bra and was willing to exchange for anything in a 28G. I must have seen this bra HUNDREDS of times before but always seemed to overlook it, as nothing extraordinary about it ever caught my eye. But man, was I wrong! I completely underestimated this bra!! It's absolutely gorgeous!! So elegant, and simple, yet sexy and supportive all in one!
First things first, I have a very narrow, petite underbust (26"), and bras are usually either WAY ...too tight or just too loose...the band on this is PERFECT! It's very tight and snug but just stretchy enough to where I can breathe comfortably without feeling like my ribcage is about to implode! I've had it on the loosest hook for several hours now and it hasn't budged! I'd prob say the band is my fav aspect of this bra. I couldn't even attempt to hook it on the tightest hook yet.
The cups are pretty tall, at least taller than I was expecting. But for once I'm not quad boobing out of the thing. The top of the cup lies perfectly against the top of my boob. However, if I scoop n swoop too much I do start to spill out over the top. I wonder if maybe a 28GG might be a little better. But my only gripe about the cup is the empty fabric at the bottom, which is causing very minor wrinkling, tho I fill out the cup. Strange. But it's hardly noticeable, esp in this black colorway. The other thing I don't quite care for is how low the cup comes, the wires are sitting directly on my ribs, maybe that's what's causing the wrinkling ? I def feel like ALL of my boob is encased in the sides and I think the placement of the straps has a lot to do with that. They are pretty far out but it seems to be working better than if they weren't, if that makes sense. The straps are not fully adjustable but it's not a problem for me. They are thin but don't seem to be digging in.
The gore is fairly tall (about 3" or so) and it's not causing me or my close-set boobs a problem, so far. I will update after wearing it for a full day. But with the gore being so high it kind of prevents me from obtaining any kind of cleavage whatsoever, but that's not what I was going for anyway. Instead, this bra provides an amazing lift. It reminds me much like the Curvy Kate Showgirl collection, but my CK Thrill Me couldn't hold a candle to this bra https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" />
This bra is just so darn beautiful that I want one in every color now! I would def recommend this bra, esp for even or FOT shapes. I'm not so sure there is enough immediate projection for FOB, and it will prob gap at the top. But all in all, this is a very pretty, shiny, well-constructed, sturdy bra. And the briefs are even more comfy than the bra, for anyone who might be interested (I have the briefs in a UK size 8). I almost feel like I made out like a bandit in this exchange and had no idea! Lol, THANK YOU!!
Update: after trying this on again, I don't think it's gonna work for my shape. I need more of plunge. The gore did start to bother me after a bit, and it just doesn't look as good as when I first tried it on. My boobs grew about another inch in the bust so maybe sizing up in the cup might do the trick. So sad, it's such a beautiful bra with a near-perfect fit. Read more 548 more words
This is the first bra I've had with a band thats the perfect amount of tightness - unfortunately its probably a tad too tight as the eyes are pulling a bit on the loosest hooks but anything I've had looser I've had to wear on the middle hooks to get enough support.
This bra also doesn't have enough immediate projection for me and i get very obvious wrinkling at the bottom of the cups. It does, however, have a good amount of projection either side of the centre gore.
Overall though its a beautiful bra https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
I wear this bra *almost* every single day. I've had it for about a year and am now wearing it on its tightest hooks, but when I first received it I was on the loosest hooks for a good while. I LOVE this bra! The gore tacks and it is so comfortable. It's great for wearing not only under strapless tops, but under spaghetti straps or tanks as well, as it doesn't have that weird extra armpit coverage some more full-coverage strap bras do. The only thing about this bra is that when wearing it all day, I do have to sometimes adjust, ...ie grab the bottom of the bra and sort of "wiggle" it back up higher to where it should really be sitting. However, this isn't really a big deal as it doesn't hurt to wear for any length of time like some bras I've had did.
Edits: I forgot to mention in my original review that the gore does not tack fully at the bottom, but that's really not a problem that affects the fit at all. There is also a little bit of 'orange in a glass' action going on, but this doesn't affect the fit either really, and it's definitely not significant enough for me not to wear the bra. Despite others saying that a lot of Masquerade bras are shallow on the bottom (generally terrible for me), this one seems to be less so. I'm a FOB girl with pretty even and front projection, and I love that this bra, even after a year, covers and holds in all of my tissue and gives a super-round, projected look https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Read more 185 more words
Fits comfortably with the exception of my not filling the tops of the cups; would be better suited for a "full-on-top" rather than my "full-on-bottom".
I love this bra! It manages to lift my separated, full on bottom boobs into a lovely uplifted, rounded shape. High quality, beautiful detailing. I measure 29 inches underbust, and the 28 is too small for me. I can probably just do it up, but I bought it second hand, so the hooks are a little loose. It fits perfectly with an extender. The straps are a little wide, but nothing too bad. There's very little stretch, so they don't fall down at all. Really love it, even wearing for a 10 hour shift, it still fits fine with no adjusting! Shame there aren't more fashion colourways now, I'd buy in every colour!
This has a stretchier band than the black, and is definitely more comfortable. I love the lining to the Rheas, as it's less irritating than some of the scratchy unlined Panache and Freya bras.
Definitely fits well in the cups, and there's no sign of overspill.
The band is a little tighter than in the Antique brown colour, but that's likely to be because of the black dye phenomenom. It's a really beautiful bra, and it actually fits without overspill in the bottom or top (unlike my old bras), which is the best part.
A VERY pretty bra! I also normally wear a 28GG in Panache bras, so it's probably about a cup size small for me and I get a bit of quad-boob. The straps are a silky material that's nice on its own, but feel odd and slippery for straps. I didn't like that too much. The center detail bow is very cute, but I worry it's a bit too delicate since I usually machine wash in a lingerie bag rather than hand wash, as I don't have any sinks deep enough to soak more than a bra or two at once.
The details are all on a mesh overlaid the soft semi-padded cups of the bra. Again, I worry about durability. It makes for a very nice effect and is quite aesthetic, but it's not the most "solid" ways to put designs on a bra.
While this bra doesn't fit me perfectly, I think it's great for a "special sexytimes" occasion bra.
This bra is beautifully constructed & is of a high quality. The band & cup are both true to size. As someone who is full on the bottom & very projected this bras shape is just a little off for me. I can't quite fill the top of the cup but I believe if I were able to fully adjust the straps (they only adjust half way) the gapping would be a bit better. Also when I bring my arms forward the cups gape. This isn't the best fitting bra but I certainly will be keeping it.
Oh, now I am disappointed. I thought this would the bra, but, well.
Wires are wide enough for my wide set breasts, and the band is firm and tight. Shoulder straps were surprisingly close together as I had read they'd be far apart. Straps being farther would have saved a lot.
But the cup shape caused problems for me. These wide wires alone weren't enough as I do have lots of boob flesh on the sides, Rhea tried to push everything in front of me, because there was too little space in the cup under the armpit. But the front section gaped because my lack of projection in that area. People have written that Rhea gives a rounded shape, unfortunately that didn't apply on me. Too bad, would have loved.
One of my favourite bras ever, once I moved the straps in. They are seriously wide set.
Good: The cups are very compatible with full on top breasts and give me an amazing cakes on a plate cleavage. Beautiful bra Very low cut Underwires are good at narrow-average
Bad: The band is tight and not stretchy and awful Straps are too long, not fully adjustable. Wide straps
This looks way better on you than it did on
e! Yay! Glad it can serve its purpose as a strapless. That's all I'm looking for in one - I don't expect perfection
