This baby cost me AU$130 & was worth every penny! It's lasted me for ages, doing double duty as my everyday & sexy bra of choice, & has only recently popped an underwire. So well made, & it fit great until I recently put on a little weight. Would definitely buy again if I could find it in my current size.
There are a number of sister cuts to this bra including the Panache Black Ardour and Panache Elise which should be fairly available.
Thank you roxannelovesbras & Love4Pollinators , for the compliments. I certainly feel more attractive & confident when wearing it, hence my desire to find a replacement just like it. And drawingdwarf, that's fantastic, thank you. I'll keep an eye out for those styles too, while I'm searching. At the moment, I'm having no luck finding an identical style one in my size, within my price range.
I really like this bra. The band at the top of the breasts is slightly stretchy and doesn't dig in at all, and is very soft. The "wings" are low enough not to dig into my armpit at all (I hate that!), but tall enough to comfortably contain all of my breast tissue. It's not the most supportive bra I've ever had--I do bounce a bit in it--but that may be due to having a band slightly larger than I'm used to, and it being a balconnet rather than a full-cup like I'm used to.
Lots and lots of cleavage. The gore doesn't quite tack on me, but the bra is still comfortable and gives me a nice rounded shape under clothing. I really like the straps -- they're narrow, but the satin is very soft and thick, so it feels almost padded. I have this bra in both black and white, and the black is nice but the white satin is spectacular -- it's a very bridal-looking bra.
Hi! I noticed that you have experience with both the Delphi and the Rhea. Is the Rhea as stiff/tight in the band as the Delphi? I tried the Delphi in 30H and just ordered a 32H as I found the band very tight and cups too small for me. I'm not sure what band size to go for in the Rhea. Thanks!
The fit was worse than I expected! Unfortunately the cups are too small. If I don't swoop and scoop it's fine but once I do I get noticeable quadboob. I was going to shorten the band but that's just going to make the cups smaller so I guess I'll just deal with it unless I'm able to get a 32/34G. I don't know why but sister sizing down just isn't working for me. I do fine with a 30GG + extender but 34FF is always too small in the cup.
This bra is unique in look and feel. It has a very feminine, elegant look but it's also very structured. The undies and bra band (created from the same fabric) are very luxe. Really the whole thing feels rich. The straps are difficult to categorize. They're about .5 inch from shoulder to back band and the front strap contains lace, so it's hard to say. I haven't worn it for a long period of time yet, but I'd say it's quite projected and good for narrow, close set breasts.
i ordered this quite a while ago (last october, im a procrastinator) as my first step in the Orla adventure. id been wanting one forever, paid more than i usually would for a bra i cant return, and sadly ended up defeated. it is a mess on me fit wise, and none of the other sizes ive tried have worked either. i think Orla and i will never have a happy romance https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> keep in mind that this bra was so far off in size that im not sure how to properly gauge the fit!
the biggest problem on this ...is the band- it is TIGHT. i mean, ridiculously tight. the 34 band *just* goes to 31.5. if you pulled super hard or were okay with being strangled you might get it to go another inch, but i have a feeling even people who are used to 32 bands would find it too snug. i need a full extender to try it on, and i still feel uncomfortable. the 36 band orla i got later only goes to 32 inches, so i dont even know where to begin with recommendations. size up at least 2 times i guess, and make sure you can return or exchange!
because of the way the band fit, im not sure how to gauge cups. the extender skewed them a fair amount, because of how it places the straps. the straps are super far apart in any size ive tried, so i assume this one would be the same even in a correct fit. they are half adjustable, with the front half a little less stretchy and made of thicker material.
i had some overspill on my larger side, and the smaller side seemed okay. the lace overlay on the cups scallops at the top edge and meets with a slightly stretchy strip of material, which probably would help hide minor size differences. the cups felt possibly a little too narrow, and the gore dug, but both may have been because the darn thing was so tight.
looks wise, the Orla gorgeous. lovely pale cream, not stark white, and the tiny pearl teardrop on the gore is a nice change from the bows. the pattern of the lace is really unique, sort of baroque looking. and its an un padded half cup- something i desperately want to find a good fit in! unfortunately Orla will be looking for a new home, and i will continue my bra hunt. This bra is very fashionable but not very practical. It shows through most clothing and doesn't have much, if any elasticity. However, it does fit perfectly so long as nothing about my body ever changes.
I have this bra in both black and sepia, and both colorways are gorgeous! I love the embroidery -- it does show through under shirts, but most of mine are black anyway so I don't care. This bra gives *serious* forward projection, and still produces a nice rounded shape for me under clothes. The molding is quite stiff -- these bras do not pack well! I'm not crazy about the slippery satin straps, because they get twisted up pretty easily -- I was really excited about the padding some of the reviews mention, but those only come in bigger cup sizes apparently -- but that's really my only quibble.
This bra makes my boobs look *amazing* (holy cleavage, Batman!) but it isn't as supportive as I'd like -- by the end of the day I'm so ready to take it off. It gives a nice uplifted and rounded shape under clothes. I have both the graphite and the seafoam green colorways, and I think the green looks better on, although the embroidery on the graphite is really gorgeous. The straps are not fully adjustable, though they do stretch long enough for me, just barely. They're also very narrow, but I like the material, which is very thick and covered in smooth satin. The band doesn't have a ...lot of stretch. It's very close in fit to the Masquerade Tiffany (5431), and I'm not entirely sure that this isn't the same bra with added embroidery on the cups. When I first bought the graphite colorway (but not the green, weirdly enough) there was a tiny metal Masquerade logo sewn onto the band and I had to cut it off because the thread holding it on was irritating my skin. So beautiful, yet so highly impractical. It's as though the designer set out to create something that must be worn without outergarments. Almost every part of the decorative treatment on the cups (lace and embroidered lace mesh) looks lumpy under even thick fabrics. And I don't care; that's how pretty it is. As I've found to be the case with other Masquerades, the band is very firm (which I prefer) to the point of being more like a tight 32 than a 34. I'd say the cup is true to size since I'm typically a G-H, but I bought this before I had any real idea what cup size I was. It's a good shape, and surprisingly comfy. The satin looks & feels lovely, the cotton lining feels good. The straps are half adjustable, but I have no issues with them. It has the standard 2-hook clasp that should be 3 or more.
This bra seems mainly decorative. It's pretty and it fits, but even though the fabric used as the inner lining is firm and supportive, it's made of a scratchy, plasticky-feeling material. Any amount of walking or upper body movement made the seams scratch and irritate my nipples. Not fun!
Gorgeous balconette that was my first introduction to Masquerade. Gives great lift and shape. It was quite tight, and since I only wore it on special occasions, I never managed to stretch it out so that it became comfortable in the band.
Initially thought the cups were too big, but after the swoop/scoop move found to be spilling out. But, after wearing for the day my boobs settled back in, so no quad-boob effect. Love love love the pattern, most beautiful bra. Band is a fine on tightest hook, but not as tight as I would like, however, I think I am wearing the wrong band size, and need a 32. Very comfy, but straps leave marks and band rides up a bit.
EDIT: This bra no longer fits. I wear a 32H in most bras, and the cups on this one are way to small for me now.
The 34 is much bigger than the 32 and might be a bit too big for me. The cups are a little awkward as well. The 34FF had a little too much space in the cup, but the 32FF was far too small.
Bra looks fabulous on you!
