Very pretty bra, but the wires distort if you stretch the band AT ALL so they end up on the sides of my ribcage, and this is in a band size too big for me so I can't even imagine if the band was properly tight. Underwires on my back, maybe. The effect is sort of minimizing or perhaps shallow friendly. I double checked and my Lulu Tout Coco Lace Balcony Bra (a-dd) (133514) does the same thing but I just don't notice it as much because that bra is two cup sizes smaller than this one, so the wires are placed well on me in that bra after stretching. I am beginning to question everything I was starting to figure out about cup/wire width.
The cup on this very nearly fits me except for some minor puckering just above my nipples. The bra was so inexpensive that I would probably keep it and alter it if the underwires weren't so flimsy. Unfortunately I am returning it.
Thank you for posting this review! And I got to discover a new bra retailer (I am such a newbie to this). That outlet section makes it more encouraging to try out one's new size.
It's too bad this one didn't work out...At first I thought maybe the wide shape of the underwires would be good for me, but upon closer reading I'm guessing the wires kept shifting shape? That's just awful and disappointing then. What a frustrating experience but at least it was returnable!
I think what is happening both with this bra and my Lulu Tout Coco Lace Underwired Bra (dd-h) (133515) is the band is very firm/not stretchy, but the underwires are springy/weak, so most of the give in the bra comes from the front and not the sides or back. It makes the bra flatten your boobs which I don't need or want.
I wouldn't have noticed this pre-Bratabase. When I stretched the band to measure it the cups went SPROING but the band barely stretched at all. It was weird.
The fit was a lot better than my 30B bra in that more of my vertical acreage was covered and the bra didn't look like it was a tiny stripe across just my nipples. I'm on the right track and adding the bra's info on here makes it feel like not a total waste.
The first thing I noticed was that the fabric used for this bra is really soft! The straps are delicate and soft on the inside, and so is the rest of the bra. Stretchy band, but more or less true to size for a 30. The cups are very small/low, so they barely cover my nipples. They're also very open at the top edge, so they fit my shallow breasts well. Since the vertical seam on the cup is angled down/low, it actually works alright as a t-shirt bra. I'd be interested in how one cup larger fits on me, but this one is adequate and doesn't cut in, plus the lace would camouflage that if it did a little bit.
Edit 5/14: So, I've been experiencing I guess some tissue migration, and where this was on the edge of being too small when I got it, it definitely is now.
This bra runs a band size small and a cup size small, at least. I ordered a 30D and the band fits like a 28, while the cups fit a size small. It's a little difficult to judge but I'd say this fits like a 28C or D. The wires are also very wide, and so are the straps, though they're connected sort of inward on the cups in the front. I wish there had been reviews of this bra so I could've ordered a size that would have worked for me (probably 30E?) because it's quite comfortable and has a nice structure to it for a unlined bra.
For all intents and purposes this swimsuit fits. For what it's worth I've heard great things about Midnight Grace's sweetheart tops. But there just not enough fabric in this halter top swimsuit for me to feel fully comfortable. I'll keep it for an extra swimsuit. It put it next to my Panache swimsuit and the wires were exactly the same and it fits, there's no quad boob, but... the panache had a lot more coverage.
The midnight grace nursing bras were too small. These were the first bras to have straps that were too short, I'm haven't had that problem before with any bra. The cups were also too small. It looked tiny and I'm not even nursing/pregnant. To be honest I'm even sure if there were other issues, I just wanted to get it off and returned as fast as possible.
This seems to be a very solidly constructed bra. No loose threads, no sewing irregularities. This bra is a bit on the plain side, but it makes for a good t-shirt bra, as there is very little lace. Overall I'm a bit apathetic about this bra: it's nice, but nothing to write home about. Nothing bad about the bra, but nothing particularly great, either.
For me, the gore is too tall, and the straps are set too wide. Those complaints aside, it gives my breasts a nice shape, and follows my contours nicely.
