The design is so pretty and delicate and the bra feels very well-made, but I prefer the fit of the unpadded shoulder bra cut. The cups are made from thin lace that has a very slight give to it (not a stretch lace, just not completely rigid), and the cup edge is not elasticated - it’s just a narrow satin trim with no stretch. I think this is why the edge cuts in very slightly on me, though at first I wondered if the cups were too small. I have even fullness and my breast tissue doesn’t come up very high, so this might be an awkward cut ... if you’re full on top or have tall breasts, and I don’t know how well it would work on someone more shallow than me (I suspect it might be too narrow and closed on top). The cups have no seams, just a dart, and the shape I get in this bra is basically the same as my natural shape.
This was the third Mimi Holliday 28 band I tried, and it’s noticeably tighter than the first two (28C - Mimi Holliday » Panna Cotta Super Plunge (AW11-210) and 28D - Mimi Holliday » Woozie Silk Satin Shoulder Bra (SS13-221) ). I can easily fasten it and the wires aren’t distorted, but I’m sensitive to tight bands and this one is verging on too tight for my preference.
