This bra is so beautiful in person and has a very firm band for Mimi Holliday. After a couple years of regular wear it only stretches 29"!
It's a very comfortable bra and gives a natural but slightly rounded shape for me. The material is very luxurious but has held up well for regular use and hand washing. My only issue is the straps can only just tighten small enough for me since they aren't fully adjustable. So if you are high set you may want to keep that in mind. The cups are also very close on top, which is great for my FOB shape but won't work if you have tall roots of FOT.
Overall I would definitely recommended Mimi Holliday half cups for a comfy beautifully bra. I wish they were cheaper so I could have more!
Gorgeous balconette bra, but the cups run very small. Looking at how it measures, you wouldn't think so, but the fit doesn't lie.
The band runs true to size & offers FOUR HOOKS ADJUSTMENTS (woo!) but each row is a single hook, so the band is very thin (yeaaa!). I wear it on the second to tightest hook. When I do so, then I get "double boob". If I wear the band on the largest hook, then I get "Victoria Secret boob", which is not flattering under clothes however "sexy" it looks out of them. The gore cannot lie flat...because of this, it doesn't do much in the way of lift or shaping. The cups are simply too shallow & wires not quite long enough.
In the future, I will get Mimi Holliday in a 28F. Since I normally have an issue with cups having too much coverage, I would say this bra runs VERY SMALL in the cups, even for a balconette/demi.
The quality is amazing: beautiful silk, delicate straps, & soft lining.
I knew I was taking a risk with this bra, as I couldn't find any information on it or similar cuts here or on Reddit.
Band: The band has four columns of hooks, which I found unusual. Perhaps it was an effort to make up for the stretchy band. It was not enough, in my case. The band is quite generous and rides up even on the tightest hook. Laid out and un-stretched, the band was about 2" longer than the band of my Cleo Marcie Balconnet Bra (6831) in 28E.
Gore: The gore of this bra rejects my boobs. I am not sure if this ...is a cup depth issue or a band tightness issue-- when I press the underwire to me as it should fit, the gore tacks.
Cups: I experience some gaping at the top of the cup, I think due to the loose band and non-tacking gore. I find the cups a good depth, and as mentioned above, when I press to underwire to me as it should fit, the cups do not gape. I would recommend this bra to someone even to full on top.
Straps: The straps are half-adjustable. They do not adjust short enough for me. The straps are also pretty wide-set, I would say wider than Cleo Juna Balconnet Bra (6461) in 28E. I am short and have a small frame, which I'm sure contributes to these fit issues.
Feel: The cotton padding on the inside seems very comfortable. The silk is luxurious!
For reference, my best fit is Cleo Marcie in 28E. Cleo Juna and sister cuts in 28E are a decent fit as well. With all that said...anyone want to buy it and the matching boyshorts? Read more 182 more words
This bra is so pretty that I love it and wear it even though it's not a great fit. The cups are covered in black lace with a shimmery beige fabric underneath, and the straps are black velvet with velvet bows at the top of the cups and at the gore.
Fit-wise (to get to the boring part) the cups are too shallow for me: my boobs push the gore outwards so that it won't sit flat and I don't fill out the bottom of the cups. The band is too loose and if the gore actually tacked I think it would be too wide. The straps are also ...a little too wide-set but I think this is just the style of the bra. Despite all this it's weirdly comfortable and certainly wearable (it helps that my boobs are small and don't need a huge amount of support); the only slight annoyance is that the bows on the straps are a bit itchy. It also looks nice when I'm wearing it despite the not-at-all perfect fit. If I had to choose a 'bedroom bra' it would be this one.
Basically then this is my 'guilty pleasure' bra: doesn't fit properly but it's so pretty I love it anyway. Read more 98 more words
I also tried the 28F of this bra. I was surprised that they both fit fairly well. The fit is generally looser than my other bras. I noticed that though the cups were smaller on the 28E, they fit just as well as the 28F but came up lower. I do prefer the cups on the 28F, however, I would choose the 28E because the strap separation is better.
This is a really luxurious bra. The materials are very comfortable. I don't think there's a single thing I dislike about it. I like how low-cut it is. My favorite thing about it is the soft, silky straps. They feel wonderful, and have the perfect amount of stretch. The cups are perfect for my wide-rooted, shallow boobs – I have no trouble filling out the bottom and no issues with the tops of the cups cutting into my boobs, which is a common issue for me with plunges. The only potential drawback of this bra is that there is only one hook per column. However, there are four columns.
Cute, high-quality, with pretty details--and extremely, unexpectedly comfortable. From the lifted center gore it's obvious the cups are too small, and I'm not in love with the little fabric triangles at the base of each strap, but otherwise it's an adorable bra with impeccable fit. I'll be sending this one back, but there's no doubt I'll be ordering from Mimi Holliday again.
