It truly is a comfort bra. I find myself wearing it during heatwaves for casual walks in the park. The shape of bust this bra creates is basically my natural shape of breasts but gathered from the sides to the middle. It kind of accentuates the placement of nipples in thin t-shirts, so mind that if it bothers you https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_razz.gif" alt=":p" />
Fit-wise, it sometimes cuts in my bigger breasts and wrinkles on my smaller one.
The materials used are lightweight and good quality. I appreciate the lack of any bows/crystals hanging from the gore, though the swans IMO would look better if they were smaller in this size.
DO NOT WASH THIS BRA IN THE MACHINE!! I usually throw all my bras in a laundry bag in the washer on cool water, and that was fine for all my bras, BUT NOT THIS ONE. This bra is very delicate, and will just completely lose all of its elasticity in the band.

First off, this is an absolutely gorgeous bra. It's a lovely turquoise silk with blue-purple lace over it, creating this lovely peacock sheen. It's also a very comfortable bra--no part of it rubs or itches. It seems to be very well made, and there's no loose threads or bad ...stitching or puckering.
My torso measurement is 28" or so, and I knew this when I ordered this bra in a 30D. It was on sale, though, so it was the 30D or nothing. What I wasn't expecting, though, was how stretchy the band is. I could stretch this band all the way out to 32". So even though this bra is just a few weeks old, I'm already wearing it on the closest hook. Speaking of hooks--there's only one hook per column, but there are 4 columns, unlike the normal 3. There's enough room for 2 hooks per column, though, so I'm not sure why they didn't do that, and I wish they would have. I'd never worn a bra with only one hook per column, and it doesn't feel very secure at all.
The straps are just straight up silk, which feels amazing. On the down side, they don't tighten very far. I have them as tight as they will go, and I wish I could tighten them a good inch more. Even though I'm 4'11", I've only ever had this problem with one other bra before, the 65D - Huit ยป Lilies & Poppies (8254C4D). The straps are also set a bit wide, but I'm thinking that the wideness problem would be solved by wearing my proper size, 28DD (or so).
I would describe my breasts as shallow with a wide base, and the cups are perfect for this. There's not very much projection, and there's an open top so definitely no quad boob.
Overall, I love this bra. It's beautiful and comfortable. I am definitely keeping it, though I am going to try altering the straps both shorter and narrower. Read more 296 more words
Aesthetics: WOW, this bra makes me feel grown up and sophisticated! The fabrics are soft and luxurious. I love the peacock color (very dark teal) and the sheen of the silk on front of the bra. The cups, gore, wings, and fronts of the straps are silk. The lowness of the cut is striking in a sexy way.
Padding: I am not usually into padded bras, but it works on this one. The padding is not thick, it is just a layer of maybe 1/16" foam. I think because of the somewhat minimal top coverage, I don't get that freaky "not my real boobs" feeling that I usually get with padded ...bras.
Fit: I expected the band to be loose and it is. I need a 26-28 band and I would say this one is a true-to-size 30. It does not ride up and the straps don't fall off my shoulders, and the bra does not slide around on me throughout the day, so I'm declaring it to be fine. I am wearing it on the tightest hook for now and I'll alter it later if I have to.
Oh, and that's "hook", singular. This is a one-hook bra. I was wary of that but this does not feel unstable at all. I don't know how tight it would be advisable to wear a one-hook bra. If this came in a 26, I might take the 28 anyway. As is, I'm not sure how a 28 would work on me, because...
The cups are wide on the sides. I am coming to terms with the fact that I am unusually narrow for my size range and this will be a problem for me in a lot of bras. If you are wide and shallow, this is the bra for you! For me, the cups are only a little bit outside my tissue, like 1/4". This is not so bad, I have other bras that go 1/2" or more beyond my breasts on the sides.
Because of the wideness and shallowness of the cups, I would hesitate to go to a 28DD for fear of quadding with the additional tightness. When I pull this bra tight behind my back, there is quadding. I would be afraid of how wide a 28E (or 28F??) would get. If I had unlimited access to a bunch of these to try on, I would certainly do it! The expense of full-price (even if returnable!) ones and scarcity of discount ones makes it unlikely that I will do this.
Oh, and can we discuss NARROW GORE HEAVEN? Yesssss. This is the narrowest gore I have ever seen and I love it.
The cut is very low, nipples are just in the top of the bra, but it doesn't feel at all like there's danger of the inmates escaping.
I really love this bra and I have put it into rotation despite the slight shape mismatch. Read more 371 more words
This fits pretty standard for a mimi holliday balconette. The cup fully encloses my boobs and it's pretty supportive for a bra with only one hook. Everything fits nicely with this bra, but unlike the plunges, it doesn't showcase boobs the same way. Still a nice and comfortable bra. I wish I knew the model for it. It a black bra with black silk on the outside with black polka dots sewn in, a lace bow in the middle and two ribbon bows by the straps. Cute, but not excessive.
This was way too tight. I have several Mimi Holliday bras in this size and never had a problem with them. It was both short in the straps and tight around the ribcage. Luckily, it wasn't purchased for every day use, haha. I find these mimi holliday super plunge bras give me a lift and roundness that is almost magical. I found this bra a little more stiff and had more fabric in the cup and straps that i found unusual for a mimi holliday super plunge, but it definitely still did the job and looks great.
This bra is 100% different than my other Mimi Holiday. This bra has a very stretchy band and is not closed on top. So it would probably work best for a 32 band even shape. However I have the set and it's one of my favourites. So my plan is to shorten the band and it should work well https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
This bra is so beautiful. I was devastated that it didn't fit. The band is too loose and the cup too big, so it probably fits true to size. Edit: Tried it on again (wistfully) and realized that the cups do fit -- but only right after scooping and not if I slouch. The band is tight enough only on the tightest hook. Can't decide if it's worth it to keep, risking the occasional nip slip, or if I should just accept defeat and part with it.
Oh, Mimi Holliday bra sales, how I can't resist you! Very pretty bra with THICK cups - you will likely be able to see the outline of this bra under a t-shirt, if that bothers you. Comfortable as my other Mimi Holliday bras.
Sadly, this bra was just a bit too big for me in the cup. (Mostly the part of the cup near the center/gore on my smaller breast is where it gaps). The band seems a little stretchy on me (my ribcage measures 28). This bra has 4 hooks in the back, I wear it on the tightest one.
This is a funny bra in some ways - super gorgeous materials and look, but I forget about the silky ribbon bows on the straps and think a bug or something is touching me. Eek. Also, because the ribbons/bows are so long, this is not a good bra to wear with a deep V-neck shirt. (Unless you don't give a fuck about the ribbons half-showing.) Despite those concerns, I absolutely adore this bra. In other Mimi Holliday bras I wear 28D/30C, but perhaps because the bra is black that I managed to get a good fit in a 30D. I tried on another 30D by Mimi Holliday in the same style that wasn't black, and I couldn't fill out the top of the cup.
I got this set for valentines day and it's gorgeous. I'm not into animal prints, but this is really subtle and the raspberry colored bows are a beautiful touch. I have the paradis plunge and this is much more supportive, I'd say the Mimi's plunge gives my boobs this awesome lift and the balcony gives awesome support. I love the wide wires, but my boobs are very separate and the space close to the gore just can't be filled in the balcony bra (had this with another 30DD Mimi I had). It's nothing major, can't notice it really and it still supports well. It's really comfortable either way.
This could be the only underwire bra I ever wear regularly- it's the only underwire bra I have put on that I don't notice the underwire at all. I can see why these bras are so expensive. Really comfortable and good quality materials. It also makes my boobs look fantastic. I literally have nothing on top- nothing. And this bra lifts my boobs up so that they actually look like perfect orbs. The only thing is I think the band is quite stretchy, but a 28 band is too tight.
I'm so happy it works for you!! It was way too beautiful to sit in my drawer being sad.
