The cups in this bra fit very well for me, but that band is too loose for them to sit nicely on my chest. The wires are too tall on my sternum and don't lie flat when I just test the cups. They are too far apart/too high; I think if I were taller it wouldn't be an issue.
A well fitting bra, aside from the big band (expected, though it is very loose; this bra was bought from ebay, so I can't properly assume if it's worn or not, despite being listed as BNWOT), and the too wideset straps (I wear it converted to racerback, thanks to them being partly adjustable). Though I do think that as soon as I tighten the band the cups might become too small, but it's hard to tell.
I recommend this one for shallow, full on bottom breasts. I reckon the thin straps and one hook closing will not provide much support for larger, softer breasts.
Not sure this is the real name for the bra, found one picture calling it this, but that doesn't sound like a Mimi Holliday name exactly. This bra was really pretty and I couldn't resist getting it. Since my other 30D was low cut, I figured the balcony would be rather low cut, but it covers quite a bit more of my boobs. There is a lot more support and coverage, but because I don't have any tissue up top there is quite a bit of gapping. I think I might be inbetween cup sizes in Mimi Holliday bras because the 30D has no quad boob, but I ...could a little extra space, and the 30DD has gapping. Could be the difference between the plunge and balcony styles though. Another weird thing about this bra is the strap placement. Whenever I push my arms together the gapping is even worse because of the straps sitting under my arms. I measure to a 28 which may be why the straps are further apart in this one, but I don't have this problem in my other Mimi Holliday. It's not something that would keep me from wearing it, but disappointing after I fell in love with my first Mimi. Read more 99 more words
Beautiful, high-quality bra in silk and intricate black lace. I appreciate the delicate look of Mimi Holliday's bras compared to others in "specialty" sizes, with narrower straps and less coverage, and the design, materials, and construction construction are all top-notch. The band fit ratings didn't totally work for me here; it was not "definitely too big" nor did it ride up noticeably, but my whole hand fit easily between my back and the band if I pulled it out. As usual, I'd have preferred a 28, but for a 30 this was passable. My asymmetric sternum probably contributed to the not-quite-flat center gore.
Returning, ultimately, because the solid fabric of the cup doesn't totally cover my nipples, and it's not my favorite look to have a half-nipple showing through the lace on each side. Neither my nipples nor my areolas are unusually large, but the opaque part of the cup is extremely low-cut. It's a stunning bra otherwise, so even though it didn't work for me, I still recommend it generally and will look for others in this line.
This bra is gorgeous and I am depressed that it fits me so poorly. Also I think Mimi Holliday is a "higher end" brand, but I'm disappointed that it only has one row of single hooks. The band is very comfortable for me and nothing digs in or leaves red marks at all. I just look like I'm popping out (because I am). Maybe that's the effect.
