This was an unknown eBay purchase, and despite much online searching I can't find the model (there's nothing on the tag, no model # to go by, and the seller didn't have much info either). From the construction, it looks like one of MH's "comfort" bras. The color scheme looks very much like the Coquette series, except they don't seem to have made a comfort bra in that colorway, so I'm stumped.
This was so nearly perfect for me. The cups fit great, wires are comfortable, the stretchy lace is very breathable for summer wear, and the wings aren't too low or too high. However, the straps were ...WAY too long. I generally don't have to shorten straps much on bras (I think because I'm low set despite having short roots?), but these wouldn't adjust short enough for me so I've had to alter them (taking almost 2 inches off) to get a bit more lift out of the cups, which don't really have a ton of lift to begin with. The projection is good, and while it's not the most supportive bra I've tried, it's fine for me as my breasts aren't very heavy.
Problem #2, for me, is the velvet trim on the band. It stretches, but it thins out a lot when it does, and that cuts in and hurts after a while. It's not comfortable at all for long-term wear, and I'm trying to figure out how I can maybe create a frankenbra out of this one by either adding something to it or maybe replacing the band entirely (maybe something a bit wider, especially since this bra only has ONE row of hooks, ouch). I love the rest of the bra, and really want it to work if I can make it happen. Elastic velvet is definitely something I'm staying away from in the future. Read more 201 more words
I bought this bra on sale knowing that the support wouldn't be great since it only has a single hook (why???) and I generally prefer a 30 band. The support is OK on the last two hooks (there are four) but it makes a great bedroom bra! I think the shoulder design and the eyelash lace are gorgeous and they hide any fit issues that could happen along the top of the cup. I can't justify buying Mimi Holiday on a regular basis due to the list price and questionable support for my size range but for a smaller cup these are beautiful bras.
WORD OF WARNING!! "DRY CLEAN ONLY"!! says the tag. This is the only one of my Mimi Holliday bras that wants only dry cleaning. The same with the matching panties. I guess it has something to do with the neon colour. It is ridiculous, have you ever heard of underwear that can´t be washed with water??!! (ETA. Yes, it is because of the colour. The pink parts stain the yellow parts, even when hand washing with cold water)
I sister sized from my usual 28FF in Mimi Holliday to 32E because of availability. The band is too big but I altered it to 28. Now the bra fits okay.
Mimi Holliday lace bras are nice, they´re really comfortable. Wires are quite wide, good for me. The lace in the cups stretches a little. Straps partly adjustable and only one hook/eye per row.
This is certainly not the most supportive bra but it is comfortable and sexy https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
Colorway is bold, but overall construction is very delicate. It has very thin straps and 1 column 4 hooks closure. Lace is very soft. If you are compatible with the shape this bra (I am), it is extremely comfortable. One of the greatest perks of this bra for me is that I can easily get to the tightest hook, but I don't need to. It stays parallel to the ground on the second. And I really feel support from the cups (not as firm as with some other bras, but it's there).
Then only thing that could be considered con is that it's visible under jersey clothes (seams and the edge of the cups).
When I was buying it I was thinking "for special occasions", but now I'm constantly tempted to wear it on a dayly basis.
I have a special place in my heart for Mimi Holliday because this was the first bra brand I encountered that made 30 bands and therefore made me aware of their existence. I also bought a 32DD Mimi Holliday bra that came closer to fitting me than my "regular" bras a couple of years ago, but it wasn't until recently that I got clued in as to my bra size. Anyway! The Sea Breeze is a lovely bra. Don't let the delicate appearance fool you: there is some support going on! Just not on the level of, say, a Freya bra. But then, this is one of those ...bras that you probably won't be wearing for more than a few minutes anyway, especially if you wear the matching underwear https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> If you look at the photos, you'll notice that the top of the bra cuts into my breast tissue a little bit. I'm thinking this is more of a soft tissue issue than a cup issue. No, my main fitting issue would probably be (as usual) the sides. Siiiigh. All I want is a bra that gives my spread apart boobs cleavage without having the underwires end too soon or not be wide enough but ANYWAY. I love this bra in spite of the fitting issues. It's very comfortable. The lace is very soft and not itchy at all. I don't feel like the bra is actively trying to kill me via poking and pinching! I could lounge around in it and a robe all day long https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Read more 161 more words
