Moda Polska (literally "Polish Fashion") was a state-owned company, founded in Warsaw in 1958.
Co-organizer of businesses and shops were Kaya Fashion Polish Mirecka-Ploss , a graduate of London's Saint Martin College of Art, the originator of the name "Moda Polska," and the Minister of Internal Trade Mieczyslaw Lesz. Moda Polska had offices in Opole and Lodz. Head of Investment Affairs was Zygmunt Mazurkiewicz, who oversaw the construction of most of the newly established salons in these difficult times. The company survived until 1998.
Moda Polska had their fashion shows organized mainly at the Salon on Wiejska Street 20. There were organized at least 2 shows a year, and additional ones during visits of heads of state if they travelled with their wives. Wife of Tito was exceptionally enamoured with Polish haute couture by Moda Polska.
The author of the logo of Moda Polska - swallows being a common view in Warsaw - is a graphic artist - Jerzy Treutler.
