I wanted to get a wire free bra because I've been feeling pretty uncomfortable with my usual wired bras in the summer heat and underboob sweat. I wore it today as I went out for a walk, doing groceries and I'll say it's very comfortable! Because it has no underwires, the cups don't separate and lift but gives more of a flattened rounded shape which for me is fine. In terms of support, for someone my size I think it's good, it's definitely enough for just walking around. One thing I noticed was at the end of the day when I was taking it off, the cups were creased at the bottom (especially the smaller side). It's possible the straps are a bit too long and it slid down, but in terms of wearability, I didn't feel it move and generally felt well supported while wearing it. If you're looking for a wire free bra, I think this is a good option.

    Didn't fit

About me: Shallow, tall and narrow-to-average roots, even vertical fullness, close-set/outer full.

This is a bit of a placeholder listing so I won't be including full measurements. Montelle's bands run true to size. This style runs at least one cup size small.

Montelle introduced this style in 28C/D/E (UK DD) some time ago, and I was finally able to give it a try. Since it runs small in the cup, I tried 28D/E. Unfortunately, rather than fitting me better than my trusty 30C, it made the fit issues with this style a lot more obvious. The bottom of the cup was collapsing in on itself in both sizes, a classic wireless bra fit problem and a sign that this bra doesn't *really* work for my shape and firm tissue. I suspect it was designed for the much more common scenario of being FOB and having softer tissue, so if that's you and you're a small cup 26-28 band, you're in luck.

  3. About me: Shallow, tall and narrow-average roots, even vertical fullness, close-set but extremely outer full so I don't look close-set at all.

UPDATE: OK, so it turns out this bra didn't fit after all. Rather, it was hiding a lot of problems due to being a sister size up; this became apparent after Montelle introduced the style in 28C-DD and I gave it a try. I would now recommend this bra to someone who is fuller on bottom and has softer tissue.

OLD REVIEW: This was my very first well-fit bra. The band is a little loose for me specifically because I'm on the low side of a 28 ... band, and that's caused me some hassles with upper body activity and mitigating muscle tension, but the rest of it fits perfectly. This is in part thanks to the cup running small, however, so keep that in mind. If you're a 30-42 band but otherwise have a lot in common with me, and perhaps even if you're wider set, you will probably find this bra very comfortable and easy to wear under most things.

I almost didn't get this bra because I wasn't used to the shape that wire-free bras make (a little less round/perky), but I am so glad I did! I think of all the bras I got on this haul, this one fits me the best. I was worried at first because the gore didn't seem to sit flush on my sternum, but my fitter said that's just the nature of wire-free bras, as they don't have molded cups to "frame" the breasts quite like underwires do. Everything feels fully supported and it feels kinda like a cross between a sports bra and a lined bra. Plus I LOVE the convertible strap system! I'll definitely get more of these.
