Hasn't set fit

Absolutely love this bra. So comfortable as it totally wire free!

It's impossible to provide the measurements because Optifit bras are custom made to your individual measurement. Plus the company doesn't use traditional "2D" measurements. So you can't just go online and order a 36N or 32KK etc. The Optifit bra is based on 3 measurements taken with a patented elastic strap (the optimeasure) using colour, letter and number combinations to define frame, depth and volume. There are 8 colours for the frame, 3 heights (short, medium and long) and 1 to 21 measurements for projection/volume allowing for potentially 504 sizes for the whole range ( red S ... 1 to Turquoise L21). So, for example, a woman who is normally a 32DD might find herself wearing an Optifit bra that is a Red, Small, 4.

The Optifit bra fits in a different way to conventional bras. It sit low on the waist line at the back rather than below your shoulder blades. Immediately I could feel my back supporting my breasts instead of my head, neck and shoulders. My whole posture changed as a result! I can definitely tell that the Optifit bra redistributed the breast weight of my breasts to my core because I don't experience the neck and shoulder pain and strain on my upper body. Also, the Optifit bra has totally eliminated the bulges of back fat above and below the back band, because the back band is worn much lower down compared to other bras.

The Optifit bra contains no wire yet gives great seperation. The shape under clothes is therefore rather perky because the Optifit bra doesn’t allow your breasts to flop down or to the sides. It makes your boobs project forward. So there’s no chance double boob or side boob!

Can't recommend this bra enough. I think because it's so different to other bras you really have to experience wearing it to understand just how comfortable it is and how incredibly different it is to other 'off the rack' bras.

Also REALLY pleased with the price. I was a little apprehensive to contact Optifit with my original enquiry as I thought they'd be very expensive, but it was only £59.99 plus P&P which I think is very reasonable. Many women I know who are above a K cup needed to spend around £200 to obtain a custom fit bra!

The fabric in the 'shades of grey' style is lovely. Although its lace fabric on top it creates a smooth line under t-shirts etc. The top half of the Bra is sheer with a lace overlay, which makes the full cup look a little less huge and clumsy.

As I am particularly big busted, I opted for padded shoulders on the strap to prevent the straps digging in and leaving impressions. Optifit did this for me with no additional charge too which I think is great.

  It doesnt look like there is any separation between your breasts? This is a big reason I stopped wearing the unstructured bras I used to wear - I always had a rash in my cleavage if they touch

  I am curious how this even works. How does this stay in position? My underbust measurement is the narrowest part of my torso, something like this seems like it would just slide upwards.
- Are you able to post more or different pictures? I wonder if there might be some confusion because English may not be your first language, but I am having trouble connecting the images to the text. You say your breasts don't touch, but there seems to be a pretty clear line of contact between them under the bra... and I can't really tell where the band does sit.
- The fit seems off if the breasts are touching and also look squished into each other. Pulling down at the back further than 90 degrees also will cause flattening and squishing so maybe that is why. I also see wrinkling in the cup which is another sign it is not fitting.
- Also I am not sure pulling it down at the back is the reason for elininating back fat...it looks like a wider band could be the reason along with leaning forward and pushing arms forward. It would be better to see a picture with arms at the sides and standing straight up to confirm that idea.

  As someone above a K cup I can assure you I can buy a custom bra (and have) for around $60 usd.
  
  I'm glad this bra is so comfortable for you. I believe its main selling points are a nice wide band and a lot of forward projection. Band width is a key indicator of comfort for me. Although I do wear my band level with the bottom of my breast root, which is high up on my chest because I am high set, I find the wider and firmer the band, the more comfort and less back pain I feel.

  I've seen this review popping up all over the interwebs, and frankly, I'm insulted by the "post and go" spamming nature of the review. It doesn't take rocket science to figure out that this review is disingenuine and is nothing more than a shameless business plug. First, if a review is going to be posted about a bra on BRATABASE and you can't provide measurements, why are you posting a review of the bra in the first place? You aren't helping anyone and your post is self-serving. Even if the bra is "made to order," you should still be able to offer measurements that you provided to the company, and then measured the bra based on the final results of the product. This "I can't post measurements" is downright evasive and if you haven't noticed, it's not going to help this businesses cause to sell more bras. It's a downright turn-off. How can you not measure the resting lenghth of the band and the stretched length of the band? If you want to help, offer your measurements that you supplied to the company and then compare them to how the bra is wearing. But for some odd reason, you will not or cannot do that.
  
  My Observations:
  Photo1: You are leaning forward. I'm not quite sure why. What I can observe from that point of view, however, is that there's tons of empty space at the top of the bra where your breast and armpit meet, along with the fact that this is a telltale sign that the cups are not deep enough for your bustline. This bra is clearly too shallow for your bustline and is pushing your breasts into your chest wall and distorting them. Also, your right breast is sagging lower than the other (it could be the lean forward) and looking a little pointier than the left, which makes me think that particular breast is smaller.

  The bra is not hooked correctly in the back. I'm not sure what's going on with the double straps, but if there was ample support in the band, I would think that doubling the straps would not be a necessary addition nor would you need padded straps added if the band had ample support Pads for straps should be removable as everyone is built differently and they need to be on everyone's shoulders in a different position based on height and comfort. And how stretchy are those straps? Is that the reason they needed to be doubled up AND padded? And how stretchy is that band and how much percentage-wise would you say you are getting from the band?

  Now you are standing up straight. Definitely short roots, definitely some point going on for whatever reason. Also, I suspect there's a lot of fabric hiding under your breasts at the band line, but since there's not photo to confirm or deny that, we'll just say it's "alleged"
  
  Photo4: In my opinion, this is the proverbial kiss of death in this montage. While most of us know that a wire-free bra almost never tacks (I've seen a few tack but it's been far and few between), your larger, left breast is attempting to find more space by pushing your right breast further to the right. It looks like the bra is too big for the right breast and too small for the left. This is not, in my opinion, a good fit. The designer of the bra should know this, too before encouraging posting this same review over. and over.and over
  
  I understand Optifit wants to sell a product. This isn't the way to do it. There are too many women who know how a bra should fit and when a bra doesn't fit.
  
  If you are happy with the fit, more power to you, but the only way you are going to sell anyone on this bra is by providing measurements, better photographs, and raw data. If your true goal is to help busty women, then come armed with more information than just a personal review.

  saltyblackbroad I didn't think I was spamming by adding my review to Bratabase. I thought this was the purpose of Bratabase - to share our experiences. It is my honest review. I have only posted a review on Bratabase and Mumsnet - I would hardly call this spamming.
  
  With regards to the design - I asked for the extra padded straps as I have large sores and scar tissue on my shoulders. Also i requested the double strapping because I am sick to death of my bra strap falling down. The owner assured me that this was not necessary but I insisted as I have mobility issues. The owner was simply obliging my requests. If you look at the images already on Bratabase you will see that my bra is different.
  
  The "odd" reason" I have not left any measurement is because I do not own a tapemesure, only a ruler!! I am unable to buy a tapemeasure at the moment because I am disabled and in the main, housebound. I can only venture out when I have my care worker with me and when I do have her with me I have many errands to run and buying a tape measure has not been one. And to be fair to Optifit, it is a custom made bra, so it's not a "true" 36N, it's my specific body measurements!!
  
  In terms of photos, I do apologise for my stance. Again because I am disabled I find it difficult to stand upright for long periods.
  
  The reason the cup sizes look odd and the reason the bra is fastened the way it is shown in the photo is because my breast are significantly different in size. I was advised to fasten the bras this way to offset some of imbalance to better create the illusion of symmetry under my clothes - and it does work!!
  
  Unfortunately i am not au fait with bra design or bra design terminology so I cannot comment on your other most of your other remarks.
  
  Your remarks are not really constructive ideas but rather unconstructive criticisms! Please note, I did not make this bra! I just purchased it. We obviously have different ideas of what make a good bra fitting. But your aggressive tone is uncalled for.
  
  From my side, I was simply delighted to find a custom made bra that is incredibly comfortable and supportive. I had never heard of Optifit until I stumbled upon it being mentioned on Facebook. And since I have been searching for years - YES YEARS! - for a bra that could provide enough support without it digging in, straps falling down, chaffing my skin etc. I simply wanted to share my experience with other women who might be experiencing the same problems.
  
  I am quite frankly stunned by some of the negative comments and remarks which have been posted about the review I have left on Bratabase (some of which, are down right horrible remarks, which are directed at me personally!). I thought that comments made on Bratabase between users are meant to be thoughtful, caring and respectful. However this has not been my experience.

  I live in the UK and don't know any custom made bra makers who will make a bra for less than £200. One company I contacted stated their prices started from £305 for a bra anywhere up to £800!!!

  Sorry perhaps separation in the wrong terminology. I meant that rather than having one big uniboob or mononoob there is now a clearly defined shape to two separate breasts under my clothes. My bust now looks perky rather than round and bulbous. Hope that explains a little better. x

  littlebigreid if you are interested in a custom wired bra, check out Comexim. They make up to size 40N and sister sizes up to a 50 band. They are a Polish company and their custom bras cost around $60 usd. They will add asymmetry pad pockets, lower center, wider band, nearly anything you can imagine!

  Please remember this is a fitting site so if members here see glaring fit issues with a bra and its fit there will be comments to those points which is neither unconstructive criticism nor aggressive. We have many knowledgeable members here who can may also be experienced bra fitters.

  They also have beginner guides and terminology outlined on ABTF that are useful. Please also consider adding measurements. A ruler works fine when you lay a bra flat for the flat measures like band length and stretched band at minimum. Data is what drives this site and even if it is custom someone can gleen a lot of info from these measurements even if not the same size.
