A beautiful bra! Perfect for bridal wear. Thin microfiber, molded, seamless cups and lace around the band. Boning under the arms, trimmed in Satin on the outside of the wire and boning. Gold-tone hardware.
*The band is very firm. Uncomfortably stretched to 32". It began to distort the wires at 31". I suspect it's better suited for a straight torso, not a V shape. (It caused a lot of back chub. *The top of the cups are fairly open, and I didn't have any quadding anywhere along the top edge. *The bottom of the cups didn't have enough depth at the wire. I could press a finger's width between the wire ...and my IMF. *The gore sat nice and flat, snug against my sternum. *The wires: wide! Tapered the outer angle toward the armpits (not U shaped). Long! Sat on my ribs. *The straps, well, they're straps. Nothing too exciting about them. 5/8"wide. Flocked on the underneath side.
Bottom line: Another wide and shallow bra, that even though the top of the cups fit perfectly, nothing else did. Therefore, it wasn't good enough to keep.
PS: Ordered through Amazon, it arrived very well protected, with tissue in the cups to hold their shape. Regular bubble wrap packaging was used instead of a box, but it had NO damage to it whatsoever. Read more 105 more words
Shortly after I started my journey for ABTF, I found the Panache Black Odette in 32E, which fit amazingly at the time. But now I kinda outgrew it, and can only wear it on my 'smaller' days, because the band and straps have stretched out enough to compensate for the cups being a little small.
Anyway, I just recently found this 32F on eBay, even though the Odette has long been discontinued. I knew I had to scoff it up! * The cups fit perfectly, with the right amount of height, width and depth for my short torso, average build, close-set & projected shape. It gives great lift, ...support and a sexy round shape! * The band feels snug again (unlike the stretched out 32E). The height of the band could be a tad taller under the arms, but the larger cup contains side tissue well. The fabric of the band is double layer microfiber (not mesh); flocked 1/3" wide elastic along the top edge and 5/8" wide along the bottom. * The gore is low, narrow at the top, wide at the bottom. * The wires fit and stay perfectly in my IMF. Barely notice them! * The straps adjust barely long enough (and very stiff I might add). But that's OK because I'll have plenty of room to tighten as needed. * Hardware is gold-toned, with narrowly spaced 2x3's hooks & eyes. * On the 32E, the front underband liked to curl inward, but this one is actually a bit wider and so far hasn't started to curl either direction.
* The only downside to mention is that the Animal Print overlaying the cups, although has two parallel dart seams (beginning at the wire and tapering to 2.5" below the neckline edge), the fabric is slightly puckered between those darts. I remember that was a problem on the 32E also, which I remedied by hand-stitching the seams just a bit tighter. I guess I'll be doing that to this one too. Read more 225 more words
This is my third try/third size for this bra. Once again, this one doesn't fit either. I guess I just have to chalk it up to style. Maybe the cup is too tall, because it mostly fit very comfortably. The biggest issue was it gaped with anything other than perfect posture. The band was perfect as well as the height of the cup & wings under the arms. What I think was happening is the gore is too wide & tall for me and was doing something weird there. Bummer too! I'd really like to find the perfect seamless cup. For reference, I am functionally FoB, projected, with average roots, and sit low on chest.
Thank you so much for the review and measurements. I'm not sure I could pull off such a shallow and wide bra. It does look beautiful though.
