  1. Portofino Balconnet Bikini Swim Top (SW1212)

This is a really nice bikini top. I always wear it under a swim tee (because skin cancer sucks, and I prefer to cover my pale self), but it fits well and stays put while moving or swimming. It creates a flattering silhouette under the swim tee. I don’t know if it would shift more without the tee, but I don’t think so.

I have a little gap right where the cup meets the strap, but all the breast tissue stays contained. The straps are a little wide (both the straps themselves and their placement in the front at the arms), but they work fine. The gore tacks nicely. ... The band is true to size. The padding lifts everything without being too stiff.

The fabric is a pretty shade of blue, and the ivory trim is a nice contrast. It doesn’t stretch out too much when wet and hasn’t faded from chlorine so far after pretty regular wear. I haven’t had any trouble either with the straps loosening or with the back closure.

This is a good swim top, whether you’d prefer to wear it under a swim tee and move around like me, or if you’d rather sit in a lounge chair and get some sun. It won’t improve your lap time, but your boobs will look good. 😂

Love it! Tight, but that will be perfect for swimming. Straps can be adjusted from bra-style, to crossing in back. Vertical seam down the center of the cups does show slightly under a tight t-shirt, but I actually like the look/shape. Pointy, but a structured line of point (like the top of an A-frame house, ...if it were rounded from front to back, hmm, that analogy doesn't work...) instead of a conical point.

It is rare that I find a bra that is too wide-set for my breasts, however the gore on the Amelia combined with its complete lack of projection at the gore has managed to achieve this. The gore on Amelia is about 50% wider than most Panache bras, so proceed with caution.

The cups are surprisingly (and pleasantly) narrow, but my goodness is the bra shallow. The measurements are before any modification however I've had to alter the wires by over a centimetre just to get enough depth - so the wires do sit on breast tissue, but not enough to bother me. The wires are much softer than ... usual Panache wires, which may also be contributing to the bad tack.

Otherwise it's actually a lovely bra! Firstly I'll mention that it works fantastically without the straps, no shifting when I literally jumped up and down. I got the 34FF as I read it ran small in the cups, I don't quite think that's true as I get a smidge of quadding (although it may be a side-effect of the other issues I'm having). The band definitely runs firm though, firmer than any other Panache I've ever tried. The fabric overlay hides any bra hardware as well, which is a nice plus.

Overall it's certainly not the most flattering bra I've ever owned but it's very functional at least!
