    Didn't fit

The Evie Bridal bra exceeded my hopes from a strapless bra. I am highly sensitive to pokey wires and scratchy fabric and hate a high center gore, so I didn't expect this to be the zenith of comfort, but it actually does the job and with a few tiny modifications I can wear it all day without too much discomfort and almost no adjusting.

My favorite thing about this bra is that it doesn't slide down. It fits, and it stays really close to where I put it on at the start of the day. Of course, a little sliding is inevitable, but I can walk, run, dance, do ... jumping jacks, etc. without having to reach under my shirt and pull up--even with a loose shirt that adds no support. When it does slide, it only means that the wire sits just slightly below the root, a difference that is negligible, and it never goes farther than that. As someone who has had (wrong sized) strapless bras that literally fell off before, this is an actual game changer.

In terms of comfort, my mind is not blown, but it rarely is with bras. The side support and wire on the right side quickly got stabby and the fabric is not remarkably soft. Oddly, the wires on the left side didn't bother me, and I noticed when I took it off and felt it that they came up slightly lower than the ones on the right and had more of a fabric cushion. So presumably if I bought a second one this might or might not be a problem. Either way, I pulled out my sewing machine and my (bright yellow, aesthetics be darned) fleece scraps and sewed a tiny bit of fleece over the ends of the poky wires. Probably not a lingerie maker's solution, but it did solve the problem and hasn't interfered with the function of the bra in any way that I can see. (Also, it's not visible when I'm actually wearing the bra, so DIYing wins again.) With that taken care of, I would say the bra is very wearable and almost as comfortable as my non-strapless Panache bra, the Allure. Again, this is pretty amazing for a strapless bra, so it was definitely worth the ten minutes of sewing I put in.

In terms of appearance, this bra is...a bra. It's padded, which I somehow didn't expect, and that gives it a bit of dowdiness which the lace doesn't hide. The lace is also slightly raised, so you're out of luck if you're planning to wear this with really form-fitting tops. It does give me some extra cleavage in a strapless dress (enough that it surprised me), so that is also something to note.

About me: dense, center full and close set, bottom full but with tall, sloping roots, so functionally even in some ways, narrow and projected.

This bra had too much projection at the apex and closed off too abruptly for me, so I couldn't fill the cup and it cut in to my breast tissue on top. The fabric and detailing are beautiful.
