This is a lovely bra. The pattern is pretty and feminine, the foam padded cups are super soft, and the elastic on the band and straps wide and comfortable. Unfortunately, there was both a shape and size mismatch.
The strap and cup placement was excellent. This is the first bra I've tried that stays far away from my armpits.
On first try, the band seemed tight enough on the loosest hook, but upon trying it backwards and upside down, the band was most comfortable on the tightest hook. It was actually decently tight compared to other 28s I tried, especially by Freya, but I think it would best ...fit a true 28 band (I'm a 26).
The cups were a bigger problem. They were overall too small and I was quadding on my larger side. The horizontal seam in the cup was also awkwardly shaped so that it was pointy and created a tiny gap along it rather than laying flush against the breast.. Under clothing, this created a triangular rather than rounded shape.
The gore was a disaster. It floated about an inch away from my body and half of it was resting on the breast tissue of my larger boob. It's 1" wide and reaches the middle of my breasts, which is way too wide for me since I only have less than a pinky's space in between.
Recommendations are very welcome! Read more 125 more words
You could try a size larger, and it would probably take care of the quading, but with the other issues, it's probably not worth re-trying. Too bad, because it is a very pretty bra, and it suits you. But yeah, I do see the triangular apex on the bra that you photographed....
The Panache Porcelain fit me very strangely. It flattened me and looked like I was wearing two clamshells. Just as with the Panache Tango II Plunge (3256), the cups are much too far apart and too wide for this size. It causes the breasts to look low and to the sides -- a very unflattering look.
I did love the thin, pliable padding (just 1/8" thick), and really wanted to like this bra. Unfortunately after trying it in 2 sizes I had to give up on it (and Panache bras in general).
I have a 27 inch snug underbust and 33.2 inch leaning bust measurement and the calculator said I was a 28E/F. I think I have tall, shallow, narrow roots. Centre full, splayed, projected and even fullness. I have never really worn proper bras before but after reading through abrathatfits and letting my tissue finish migrating with snug sports bras, I got this and two others from amazon. And it fits (IMO) really quite well. The cups are slightly to wide for me, and is perhaps a teensy bit too projected, but now I can use this to work out the sort of measurements I need (somewhere in the ...ballpark of 4.6-4.8 width cups, depending on the gore width, and a depth of 7.6-8.1) The gore is fine and not too wide, despite me being quite close set. I'd definitely recommend this for those who are even fullness and have a decent amount of projection, as it'd probably fit weirdly if you're full on top or have tall, not particularly shallow roots. Be aware it gives you a natural 'pointy' shape and is made of stretchy lace. No rounded cups here, though it has pockets in the cups for padding or whatever. If you have other bras you should pinpoint the fit issues, check their measurements on here and work out what you should try next. (Just because the calculator said you were such and such doesn't mean you should get that size on every brand and style of bra and it'll fit you with no issues!) anyway...This is a great bra, and I'm very happy to wear it. Just wish I knew it was sheer beforehand *cries* and could get it in heather. I had my heart set on that colour but they're all sold out. Any idea if they'll make more of them?
*edit* I have no idea what I was thinking. Actually, I do, I wasn't. This Is waaaay to wide for me, by about an inch and a half on each side. The depth is good though. A shame because it is really quite pwetty. Read more 238 more words
This is my (almost) perfect go-to bra. I have one breast slightly larger than the other and the bra fits the larger breast, but since the cups are molded, there's no sagging of the fabric and you can't tell the size difference in my breasts once the bra's on.
This is a great basic everyday t-shirt bra. I find it has a minimizing effect on my breasts (which are large for my ribcage). It's not a sexy bra, but it is pretty comfortable. It is a full-cup bra, so (depending on how you fill out) the tops of the cups may poke out when you're wearing lower-cut necklines. The ...cups also may show up under your armpits in sleeveless tops, since they extend under the armpit and the underwires are rather high.
My breasts are wider-set and I have a lot of tissue underneath my armpits; the underwires contain that tissue. The cups don't push my breasts front and center as much as I'd like (and maybe that's not possible), but they do a decent job of it and give a nice (rounded, natural, not saggy) shape underneath clothes.
My one complaint is that the straps are wideset, so they're often not covered up by the shoulder straps of sleeveless tops, and since the straps are not very thin, they look a bit dowdy. I have narrow shoulders so the straps are forever falling off my shoulders (and I maybe adjust them to be a little loose for the sake of comfort). Since the straps begin so close to my armpit in the front, they sometimes chafe when I am moving my arms a lot, which can be irritating.
Overall this is a very comfortable bra; it doesn't pinch, poke, or smush and it isn't too tight in any places. I've been wearing it for a year and it hasn't stretched out (as far a I can tell) though the band is made of stretchy material. I still wear it on the loosest set of hooks. Two of the key reasons that it's lasted so long are: (1) I wear it in rotation with a few other bras, allowing adequate time (>1 day) for it to have a break from my body heat and retain its shape; (2) I hand-wash it once in awhile (probably not as often as I should though it's not visibly soiled) with a very gentle liquid soap for delicates that requires no kneading or rinsing ("Soak" ). I do not put this in the machine wash.
It's a workhorse bra that you can wear all day without discomfort and gives you adequate support and a nice shape under most clothes. I highly recommend this bra. Read more 338 more words
I have been looking for some bras without wires for a while now. This is a new style for me and I used to LOVE the andorra plunge so I decided to try it. It's a really nice looking and well made bra! My biggest problem is with my monkey brain and not the bra, I purchased it one size smaller than I need! D'oh! The 28E was about $15 less expensive on Amazon than the 28F and I can sometimes fit 28E's depending on the style and if they are less structured or more of a bralette. This bra may look like a little flimsy thing but it isn't. It has a solid construction and because of the quality, doesn't fit me. I will likely be trying this bra in a 28F or a 30E in the future because it seems like such a great wireless bra!
After trying the Panache Cleo28E - Cleo » Lyzy Triangle (9766) , this seemed like another good wireless/bralette option. After all, if the 28E fit in the Lyzy, it's probably going to fit here too, right? Not really.
This is marketed as a maternity bra, but from the pictures, it seemed like a regular wireless bra, but with 6 hooks on the back instead of the usual three. I'm not really sure how much the fit issues I'm having are related to this or not.
First of all, the band feels very tight, especially around the "wires"/boning channels in the front. This ...is where I can feel the tightness the most. I've always heard people mentioning that the band tends to run tighter in black or dark bras, but I didn't have an issue with the 30 30D - Panache » Envy Balconnet Bra (7285) , so I didn't think of sizing up to a 30 from the 28.
Even on the loosest of the 6 hooks, it still feels tight. If I add an extender, the cups look even worse.
This is weird, because according to the measurements I took, it should be just as comfortable as the Lyzy.
Just by looking at it when it came out of the packaging, I also noticed that the cups seemed WAY bigger than what I was expecting. This is a 3 part cup with 2 bottom sections and a vertical/horizontal bit that stretches across the top of the breasts.
My assessment is that the cup is way too projected for my shape, as I get a ton of wrinkling at the apex (which, again, I wasn't expecting). The cups also look a lot wider than the Lyzy. Despite looking overall bigger, I feel like the upper part of the cups would cut into breast tissue if I had enough volume to fill up the bra. It seems to give a very pointy look/shape.
Overall, I think this is a shape mismatch, because I don't think sizing down would be helpful.
The impression I got was that this was a maternity bra made for someone who wore 28E before pregnancy and wanted something that would still accommodate them with the growth along the pregnancy without having to remeasure and go for a different size.
The quality seems really good, and there is a lining in a light peach/beige color. The lace is nice, and the fabric feels soft. I get the impression that the straps don't have enough lenght to be comfortable.
I'm probably either going to return it or try to sell it. Read more 332 more words
Not the most perfect fit in the world, but acceptable for me. I wanted a cobalt blue bra, and, as luck would have it, I found one in the Tango. I've been trying Tangos for years, never successfully. Usually I get terrible Orange in a Glass from Tangos cups, but these cups aren't bad at all. I get some wrinkling in the right cup when I lean forward, but it doesn't show under clothing. This bra is very comfortable, pretty, and supportive. I wish the wires were either slightly narrower; they are at a spot where my boobs are too wide to reach as far into the cup as they ought to. Narrower wires would push them out into the cup more. Oh well. I doubt there's a perfect bra for me. I like this one.
It is such a disappointment that the bra doesn't fit as well as I expected. It seemed to have everything I need - unlined (because it's summer), stretch lace (to accommodate my top fullness and tall roots), deep (for my projected conical breasts) and a real plunge (for my close-set breasts with centre fullness). It turns out I need a bigger cup size since there was some quadding along the centre. The gore is very low, but so wide that it sits on top of my breasts. It is even wider than the average balcony bra. I'm hoping to try this in a bigger cup size and maybe alter the gore if it fits right. Band runs true to size and the bra itself is pretty, I just wish it comes in more colours.
This looks good under t-shirts, gives a rounded, seam-free appearance. I believe it is a cup size too big for me. I'm able to fill the cups vertically, but the cups are too wide and the gore pokes into my sternum. There was enough projection at the wire for my full on bottom, projected breasts. The spacer foam is the lightest of any padded/foam option I've seen, even to the point showing slight nipple projection (not visible with a shirt, visible without a shirt). I discovered that I dislike the molded cup in general because there are no seams to give support to my breast tissue, and the ...bottom of my breasts are sore at the end of the day. I kept having to adjust the bra throughout the day to re-position it in my IMF, perhaps because the cups are too wide. Appearance wise, I dislike the thick straps and the bows, and I dislike the beige, which looks a bit sallow or something against my olive skin.I do like the lace pattern, and the bra does give a nice shape under clothes, so it gets a solid "ok" for appearance and is definitely one of the prettier nude t-shirt bras I've seen. There is a racer back attachment at the the top which helps address the wide-set strap issue, but that means the straps are visible. Read more 121 more words
Not really a huge fan of the unlined bras, because of nippage, but this was surprisingly supportive none-the-less. I wouldn't reccomend it for someone who has a little fuller breasts on top, because I have 50/50 breasts and it was cutting into my breast tissue on top for me. Pretty bra, really nice quality, not the comfiest thing in the world.
This I'd a good all rounder bra. I would say it's relatively shallow and fairly average to wide wires. It works well as a t-shirt bra giving a smooth rounded appearance but the centre gore is relatively low too so works under fairly low cut tops. I found it very comfortable apart from it being a little bit loose round the quite stretchy band, though my under bust is a bit smaller than 28 inches. The Jacquard print is pretty but subtle. If there was a nude version of this bra I would definitely like it even more. It's got fully adjustable straps and the matching briefs are very pretty and really comfortable and flattering.
This is such a lovely relaxing/around the house bra. I could do with more immediate projection, more lift, and a bit shorter of cups. This bra really doesn't give much lift or support at all. The wires are also extremely firm and cannot be bent. They were quite painful when I first got the bra, but either they've broken in or I've gotten used to them. The band runs tight for a 28 (always nice). Overall, for the price point (on Amazon or Ebay) this is a great bra. I don't know that I'd buy more than one, but this is a nice addition to my bradrobe.
Not thrilled with this bra. It does stay up, which is a plus, but I don't fill out the bottom of the cup, and it's very noticeable under clothing. It also sort of flattens my shape and doesn't allow for any cleavage at all.
I'm a 28e, with even, projected breasts. I have no idea what my roots are, I get confused trying to figure it out because I'm petite and I question whether a bra is fitting me because the wires might be narrow/normal and maybe I'm wide or visa-versa. Pros: I love the tight band that feels so hard to come by in 28 bands, I can actually wear it on the loosest hook instead of the tightest, like I usually do with my 28's. The bra is invisible under t-shirts, a first for me since I stopped buying VS years ago. Cons: Straps slightly too wide for my narrow frame. The cups ...seem to run small so there's slight quadding. Because of the smallish cups, the gore doesn't tack but rests on my tissue...by a lot. There's an index finger of space between my sternum and the floating gore. I've never had a problem with this before but the gore, with the bra's more rigid wires, pokes my tissue. This will probably hurt by the end of the day but I'll update after I've worn it for awhile.
Conclusion: I'm keeping it and ordering a cup size up for reference.
I'm new to this as well but I'm not too far of from your size and I have a lot of the same problems. Are your breasts set far apart? More than two finger widths? Is your sternum bony? Sounds like the wires sit ontop of your tissue and that why the gore wont tack, and if you are a bony sternum girl then that is probably going to hurt you. I find low gores to be a solution.
Though the bra fits nearly perfectly, it's too deep for my 28e, projected, full and even chest. I'm a petite girl, so maybe that's why I don't have the depth to fill it out, I'm not too sure. I have the same problem with the the Andorra balcony bra. A plus is that the wires fit comfortably but I can never tell if my roots are wide or narrow so I can't offer any advice there, maybe wide by petite standards? I can wear narrow wires as long as it's not Claudette brand, (too narrow and rigid for me). Also, because lace is not incorporated into the fit of the cup, when I breath in really, really deep, I get the slightest bit of quadding (if that's normal, I don't know), it wouldn't have been a deal breaker though. On a side note, despite not liking the pattern, it's surprisingly pretty on.
My second bra that fits https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> So much better with a 28E: band is tight enough and not uncomfortable. Wires enclose all the breast on the side and there is no armpit fat. Almost no wrinkling on the cup on the top (which seems to be a problem for me and my shallow breasts). I also like the nude color and the material seems quite comfortable as well.
I tried on the 28E in this bra as an attempt to fix the quad-boob issue I had with the 28DD. Once again, I seem to have a shape incompatibility with this bra. It cuts in too much at the top of the cup for my shape. The 28E was simply too large, with a wrinkly cup and wires too wide, but still cut into my breast tissue at the top of the cup.
I love my bands tight, and although it is possible to stretch the band to 29", it is very firm and does not do so easily so during wear the band feels nice and snug. The only thing I don't like is that the lace is often visible under clothes (especially on my smaller breast as there is some wrinkling since I don't use inserts). Otherwise, one of my favorites.
The Tango in 28DD gave me the "orange in a glass" effect (wrinkling around the tip of the cup), so I tried 28E but found the cups too big. For some reason, the cups come up noticeably higher in 28E, the centre gore is taller (7cm vs. 5.8cm) and the band is broader at the sides.
You could try a size larger, and it would probably take care of the quading, but with the other issues, it's probably not worth re-trying. Too bad, because it is a very pretty bra, and it suits you. But yeah, I do see the triangular apex on the bra that you photographed....
