A great everyday essential. Envy is a cross between Andorra and Jasmine.
The cup construction is exactly the same as jasmine, with the deepest point being between the gore and the vertical seam. It has andorras gore - which makes wires sit further apart then jasmine, and also end up a little wider under the arms.
It allows more volume in the bottom of the cup then both jasmine and andorra!!! Better for those who need more immediate projection.
All this affects shape - profile is more round and lifted then andorras, but also slightly minimized like andorras. The front is less centered then Jasmine, the boobs do go out of your frame ...but in a very natural, round and lifted manner. It gives the perfect "purple shape" as described by Bras I hate and Love.
The stretch lace is different then the previous two, it is firmer and more substantial, giving better support from the top, but stil very forgiving. I also suspect this type of lace would hold up better through time.
Band is firm and stable, even more so then the Jasmine.
Materials are the comfiest by far compared to other two, love the houndstooth detail, I'd just like the lace to be less flowery, it would suit the pattern better.
Matching knickers are true to size and very comfy https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
Update: This bra is the best everyday bra I have ever owned. And even though I get better shape in cleos and jasmine, this bra is what I reach for most of the time. It works like a t-shirt bra for me. My love affairs with bras can be short infatuation, summer flings, passionate love and hate... But this one... I'm ready to marry this one https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
Such a lovely print! Beautiful flowers in petrol and purple, a really wintery design. The good parts; Jasmine has soft felted straps, a firm band, 3 hooks (from GG cups), nice stretchy lace on top and very firm supportive fabric in the lower cups.
However, Jasmine does seem to be my Goldilocks bra? Hard to find the perfect size!
I love my Animal Jasmine in 30GG, wear it a lot but it's somewhat small. So I sized up in Ricamo, 30H - rubs my armpits and wrinkles in the bottom. Bought a cheap older color (Navy floral) in 32GG to see if the tight band was the problem, but that one's ...almost unbearably chafey in my armpits.
Tried this new design in 32G (too flimsy & small), 32GG (too chafey) 30GG (this one) and 30H (same issues as Ricamo). Panache does seem to keep their fit pretty consistent in different Jasmine colorways. In the end I decided 30GG is best for me, but still not perfectly comfortable.. Kind of wide straps, some wire poking, band could be sliiightly looser. Not perfectly in my IMF (seems hard for me to get bras to stay there 😒) And I'm still not a fan of the mesh-like fabric that is somewhat scratchy. All not dealbreakers, but things I suppose they could improve on.
Maybe after first being SO impressed by Jasmine's gravity defying performance as an unlined bra, I'm also getting more critical these days.
Perhaps they could learn from Comexim and produce a Jasmine with straps moved in? And use the 4x eye setting and supersoft fabrics from Ewa? 😁 Read more 156 more words
awww, we can only wish right? I have a similar issue with unlined Cleos. My 32G red Minnie is as close to perfect as it gets, but all other color ways or variations on that cut are either a bit loose on top (32G), a tad small in the cup (32FF), causing ever so slight in cup quad boob, or chafe a little in my armpits (32G).
Oh well, I chalk it up to me becoming more perfectionistic as my bra knowledge progresses ;-)
I would still love to try the Jasmine and the Floris (I've never tried any Panache bras), but I'm currently on a little Ewa shopping spree...
Yeah if only all bra producers did custom alterations! 👌🏼
my focus is currently on my Comexim and Ewa wishlists as well.. Tried my first EM (Kwiaty) this summer and I've been wanting to buy Kicia for ages. Also reeaaally like Comexim Yoko. Just a little apprehensive as their wires seem slightly too narrow for me.
If you're still considering them, I've been pretty pleased about Panache - firm bands, sturdy under wires, generally good quality. Mostly wider than Polish bras though.
Thank you for this review! I have lost a little bit more weight since I posted my Panache Tango II 30HH and just got a Marcie in 30H that was hilariously too big. I was thinking about the Jasmine but I will have to think more. This at least helped me confirm what many reviews I've been reading saying that this bra is a completely random fit; if it does, its a dream and if it doesn't its just sad and uncomfortable. :/
I had a hunch a softcup G might be small so I ordered G and GG for comparison. The reason? I have a Shock Absorber Max Sports bra in a 30GG which fit completely perfectly by surprise, a full cup or two larger than I ever would have imagined. It just goes to show it's not about the "size" on the tag but how the actual garment fits your body.
The quality feels quite nice. Very soft lining, beautiful yet simple design. I especially like the low balconette-style slight v-neck as opposed to some other soft support bras out there that ...look very granny!! There are 6 adjustments rows of hooks instead of an underwire's usual 3. This means you can adjust the bra either over time or as weight fluctuates. I suppose its marketed for 'maternity' according to the Superbra website but I know many women seek wireless comfort bras to their much more common wired sisters.
Overall, extremely supportive and looks fantabulous! It could be a manufacturer's defect in the smaller version because strange enough merely going 1-cup larger (band size the same) this band is noticeably tighter and therefore more supportive. Check the measurements of both bras.
**Update: I wear this bra not for everyday but in 2 situations: 1. For several hours each night lounging or 2. On long days working at home. The straps start digging in after a while. Maybe it's not the perfect softcup but for now it does its job mostly well.
Measured unstretched before wearing. Purchased late-February '11 from figleaves. Read more 154 more words
Interesting how come even though both bras are 30 band, one fits fits and not the other! And also how a smaller cup size ends up in a slightly larger bust perimeter than the GG!
Very interesting indeed! It's probably because the ill-fitting size creates more sag so the breast tissue is more "out there" creating the wider perimeter. I prefer it smaller! (I think we all do) ;)
This is way too small. Looking at the measurements and fit details it seems like it shouldn't be THAT small, but it is. The band if I isolate it from the cups actually does feel okay, although it's way smaller than a 30 band usually is (could only stretch to 28", I'm surprised it feels OK on.)
The straps feel a little used i.e. digging in at the shoulders. I suspect that's from the woefully inadequate cup size.
The band is a fuzzy almost terrycloth and very soft and comfortable. The lace pattern is lovely. I'm not sure if the soft cups are defined enough to give actual separation ...between larger boobs. (As an alternate example I wear old Fantasie Belle bras with the wires removed and the center gore basically tacks, despite being stretched out and cups 1-2 sizes bigger than I usually wear now. I think this is because the wire channels are a stiffer fabric than the rest of the bra. On this one, it's just a seam.)
The fabric in general seems a little thin. I'd be worried about an earring accidentally puncturing it and causing damage.
Overall I'm disappointed but they do make this up to a J cup so I might try again in another size if my foray into Molke is a total fail (really trying to get some non-underwired bras into my rotation!) Read more 120 more words
This bra is so near perfect: narrow cups, firm band, able to handle both my immediate projection and tall roots. It gives a great rounded shape under clothes, and is lovely and supportive. Unfortunately though, as usual, the gore is too tall and/or too wide for my close set, center full breasts, so while it does tack it also digs in and flattens some of my breast tissue underneath.
I'm considering trying to overlap the gore, because it's such a great fit otherwise. Decisions, decisions.
I used to love Clara as well except for the gore; a tip that might work - bending the upper part of the gore outward with some pliers!
Definitely helped for me (even though I eventually passed Clara on to a friend whom it fit better), hopefully that might make it work better for you too!
bubblegum Thank you for the suggestion, I might try that!
Such a nicely made bra! I am full on bottom and in the center. Used the bra fit calculator here and on r/abrathatfits and got 30gg so this bra rings true to size. My only complaint is that the high gore and full coverage cup do not allow for slightly low cut tops; but the bra is so pretty and fits so nice that I didn't even mind it poking out - it looked like a nice bralette or something!
Final bra in my Ana order. The band was too big, the cups too wide, the gore was uncomfortable. I hate the elastic that they put on the GG+ sizes because it digs into tissue. I do like how it has padding on the straps.
I bought this bra after trying it on in my local lingerie store, knowing the size I would need, and seeing it for only $30 on Amazon (I know, I know, support local - but you all know how expensive bra shopping is!!) I decided to get it even though it wasn't quite perfect, because I'm low on well-fitting bras and needed something to tide me over. The problems I have with this bra are similar to others I have had in the past: annoying crease on the bottom (not filling the bottom, but I think the problem isn't the cup size but more the shape), and straps are way to far apart for my narrow/petite frame. Usually I spend 10% of my day shimmying my bra to raise the underwire, and also adjusting the band back down, and moving the straps back in to rest in a comfortable spot on my shoulders. I'll keep this for now.
This bra is the perfect shape and would be my forever bra if the gore was just a cm or two shorter. The band provides enough support and the cups tack beautifully on top. My only issue is that the gore can dig in a bit if I am too active.
I have started replacing wires because gores are almost always too tall. And, if you have plumbing cutters, you can trim the existing wire shorter and use plastidip to seal the ends. So many alterations ;-)
Me: Narrow roots, narrow shoulders, evenly round, lots of immediate projection, very soft tissue, slightly FoB, slightly centre full, splayed, never met a gore I didn't like, left-heavey by more than a cup size, 31" underbust, but prefer tight band with extender. Panache, Freya size 30GG
So, as expected, too wide and shallow. I thought I would try Jasmine, having heard such good things. But it is a fairly close fit, so I won't discredit most of the reviews, just place it in a relative position. Narrower and more immediately projected than the rest of Panache, but not compared to my bust!
Cups are a little too wide and straps set slightly too far apart. I get some quading at my centre fullness, and the appex is too shallow - like a half cup. So, not enough immediate projection and a bit of an upsidedown seven shape.
Material is a bit stiff and the stretch lace top part is a bit too stretchy. Straps are narrower, only half adjustable, but scalloped. No side boning, but three hooks.
The horizontal seam was too prominent for me to wear with a t-shirt. Straps and lace have a little stretch, but the cups don't give at all, so the support is very good. I really like the shape - it's very natural, not too round.
Another bra that's perfect for the inbetweener sizes like me (currently 29" underbust), but would not work for someone who's really a 30 band (though you might be able to stretch it just enough, it would likely bend the wires).
Very pretty and the lace is nice and soft. I was very pleasantly surprised by this bra. I'd seen it on amazon for a while where it just looks awful on the model. I went to Intimacy recently, where they brought it for me to try on. So unbeknownst to me, I tried on the same bra that looks awful on the model, and it looks great on ...me.
Definitely not really projected, but again is too pretty to mind (I prefer forward projection).
I would recommend it to anyone who prefers a firmer band, but I'd say that so far in my Panache experience, they seem to run tight in the band. Good for me and my inbetween size, but not good for people who are the usual band sizes. If I really needed a 30, I'd probably have gone for a 32G and worn it on the middle hook. I know this is kind of bra sin, but not everyone is strictly a certain size and sometimes you just have to make due. Read more 107 more words
I persisted with this bra until I found the best fit in the style because I absolutely adore the look. It's got a slight retro feel to it, and it's stretchy, nude lace. Just lovely to look at and practical enough that it works for everyday wear under nearly all outfits.
I tried this on in store in my normal Panache/Cleo size (30G) and the top edge of the cup pinched right into my soft breast tissue - possibly the worst case of quad boob I've seen in years! In 1 cup size up, this is a pretty good fit.
The fit mirrors the fit of the Panache Tango (but ...without the ugly fern fabric). Unfortunately, even though the lace used in the Idina (search for Indina on Figleaves - they have it spelt differently) nice and stretchy, the edging trim along the top of the bra counteracts any stretch in the top half of the cup.
The profile is a little wide for me (same as Tango), but the underwires don't bother me at all (must be using the new, shorter Panache underwires) and theres only a tiny bit of unfilled fabric under my arms. It's a natural look, rounded but not too uplifted.
I've worn this under slightly see-through, stretchy knits tops and it's not quite as invisible as a moulded, nude bra. But it's probably the closest thing to a tshirt bra.
Go up a cup size with this one. I recommend it. Oh and the briefs are firm, secure and awesome (and follow the slightly retro look)! Read more 148 more words
Thankfully! Fits just as well as the Black version. Although it is noticeably tighter which may be cause it is brand new where I've had the Black one for a while (just over 4 months).
I suspect I'm a G-GG in Panache depending on if the wires fit my shape or in this case if there a proper amount of material. Band is nice and firm. Straps are comfy and fully adjustable. 6 hooks for a lot of adjustment over time as the bra wears. The "Peach" color is much lighter than expected from the catalog/online. Is more like white-on-peach instead of all-beige as advertised on Bravissimo. Must be a newer production than the original. It's still a very lovely color even though my skin is a different tone. This is my 2nd of these bras and I will be purchasing more.
Purchased early-July 2011 from Bravissimo. Measured unstretched immediately before wearing.
I have tried several different bras from Panache at this point and I've yet to find one that is the wrong shape, doesn't tack, too wide or too anything. I think it's safe to say this brand suits my shape very well. Envy is no exception.
For reference, the Tango II in 28HH fits me almost like a custom bra. The Envy in 30GG fits quite snug in the cups and held my soft tissue close to my chest without totally flattening them, almost like a sports bra. It gave me a round, "held in" shape and I feel very supported in it, though I can probably get away ...with a 30H, or a even 28HH for less compression and a more natural shape.
This isn't really a "con", but I wish the bottom edge of the band was smooth all around like the Jasmine and Tango. I don't mind lace but I can't help but feel this particular one would look better with a smooth band, well at least it's unobtrusive. Regardless, this is a nice and seemingly good quality bra. The firm wires for me are not pokey or painful at all. Straps are heavy duty. wide and padded for comfort yet still manages to looks pretty. I have nothing bad to say about it. Technically fits. Doesn't Hurt! But not sure it helps, either:
This feels like I'm in opposite-land. It's not shallow-wide like I've found the Freya Fancies line but yeah. There's a similar lack of space here just as there was with that style. Jasmine almost works as kind of a minimizer. I could hide all the boob with this one by how well it squishes down all projection, ...except the delicate upper band which almost magnifies jiggle from all my breast being mercilessly shoved UP UP AND AWAY!!! where there is no stability. A girls is short, and tired so you can image how much fun the inevitable oozing over, is.
Every other style I've tried has been a volume match in this size, however Jasmine's fit is comparatively small-wide, and appears I ought to have gone up yet ANOTHER cup! It's shape is very uh ... ramped UP vertically... like, to the gods... with minimal immediate projection, especially at the very center of cup where both sides are sewn together. Therefore it fits like a flattening cone on my large rounded short-busted profile. To accommodate any fullness it would need a re-draft with another central piece for lower breast like Ewa M's CHP, or a ton more curve for depth in the very front of the cups. The side support panel in this style is worth fuckall.
Most of the Jasmine's construction choices suggest it should hold in very heavy, compressible, loose tissue, pushing it all backwards into the chest wall (armpits, strap gap?). The fit and actual shape of the cups appear to be made for fairly small, narrow, moderately lightweight tissue though. I'm pretty small + lightweight +super short breast height/functionally FOB in terms of cup size with extremely dense/heavier tissue, so the band, frame and bottom of cups feel almost supportive. But then the upper cup is really tight & frail letting 'everything hang out' so to speak. There's a LOT of horizontal crumpling from the lack of space in in the lower part of the cups, that Jasmine's very short straps are holding at bay. Oh yes, the underwires are weirdly wide. Why! How? What.
Ultimately this leads to feeling that Jasmine has such a closed-in and stingy fit right from the wire and around all sides, that I'm not really sure how it earned the reputation for full-on- bottom depth that it has. Maybe a little more apex-only depth than average? Tango in the right size gave me somewhere to BE, Jasmine is just... Pushy for no reason. While the straps, band, and gore are comfortable without modification... I can feel the cups wanting to scoot toward my bellybutton postehaste, which gives me the unsettling sense that I'll need to adjust the EVERYTHING soon...
*Really* soon. Like within 15 seconds, soon. At all times.
Now- it actually doesn't scut off to the hinterlands despite lots of misgivings, most likely because there isn't any more strap to let out so it physically can't abandon post. Perhaps the only thing preventing a nip slip here and there, is an unholy alliance between wires and straps to make up for the lack of good support in the cup.
There's nothing wrong with the materials or construction but it comes off as rote, and missing some key features so Ima rate it MEH: -Powermesh band is smooth, supportive and sturdy, no digging or itching from elastics or the tags. -Armscye & wing are decent placement for my high set, supershort, extreme immediately projected, problematic side-full shape. -Narrower than average gore lays flat. Unfortunately underwires sit over my breasts here so it's not narrow enough when paired with the shallowness in bottom of cup for the EVERY LIFT ON EARTH! patterning built into this style. But compared to a lot of designs there is nicer cup depth at the inner cup for center fullness, which is very appreciated. Considering that I've not much there, it's bothersome to me that this specific area is also Always squashed to hell and then some, so this will be fascinating to experience inner cup depth without an alteration. Less boob pushed out, for the gore to sit on! -The lace upper band is cheap, flimsy, doesn't stay put, wrinkles up and feels like it will be easily damaged with regular use or by contact with anything on earth, anytime, anywhere. I base this on, that is exactly what happens within a week or so of owning anything that has this style of stretch lace. -THREE HOOKS. God. Finally. Yes. Watch now that I've praised this 1 complete necessity, they will take the privilege away & replace with some stupid 1 hook strappy wonder. Read more 746 more words
This bra is gorgeous! I love the purple under the blue lace. I love the round shape it gives. The straps were too far apart for me and the cups were too small, I need a more projected cup.
I love the look of this bra so much, I just wish the shape worked better for me.
I typically am drawn to plunges because I have close-set, centre-full breasts and in the past I've found them to be the most comfortable.
This bra I want to badly to fit me perfectly, but it does not. The cup width and depth is great for me, it is a deep, projected cup with narrow wires. It is made of a 3-piece construction with the bottom of the cup divided into two pieces and a third strip along the top. It is made of two layers of ...stiff, not stretchy sheer mesh. My only problem with this bra is that the strip that makes up the top third of the cup is just way too tight for my shape, and therefore flattens down my breasts into a really weird, flat-on-top, but pointy at the apex shape. My boobs look super weird in this bra, not flattering at all. I think this bra would really suit the exact opposite shape boobs from mine! I think it would fit boobs with more volume on the bottom and outer-sides. Read more 93 more words
awww, we can only wish right? I have a similar issue with unlined Cleos. My 32G red Minnie is as close to perfect as it gets, but all other color ways or variations on that cut are either a bit loose on top (32G), a tad small in the cup (32FF), causing ever so slight in cup quad boob, or chafe a little in my armpits (32G).
Oh well, I chalk it up to me becoming more perfectionistic as my bra knowledge progresses ;-)
I would still love to try the Jasmine and the Floris (I've never tried any Panache bras), but I'm currently on a little Ewa shopping spree...
