My shape, as I understand it: round-ish, even fullness (maybe slightly FoT) separated (2 fingers between when unsupported), downward pointing nipples, asymmetrical, low on chest.
I really like this bra! The color is amazing (fuschia?) and the shiny bow and lace details are really pretty. I’ve never tried spacer foam before, and I’m a fan. It gives me a really nice shape and provides enough nipple coverage without making me feel like I’m wearing too much padding. The material of the cup is comfortable against my skin. It looks pretty in the mirror. Have I mentioned the color? It also has cute little scalloped loops around the cup ...edge. The quality isn’t Prima Donna, but it’s lovely.
The gore tacks comfortably, the straps don’t slip. The band is snug and doesn’t budge, but has enough stretch to be comfortable, and I like the width on the sides. Fewer bulges, yay!
I based the cup fit assessment on my larger side. On that side, it’s a a pretty damn perfect fit. No quadding AT ALL (w00t) and nicely filled out on all sides. On my smaller side, the size difference is apparent in certain positions and if I look down at myself. I like it too much not to keep it, though. I may try a cookie or similar on that side to even it out a bit more. I have to say, after 7 hours or so of wear, this is the most comfortable of all the bras I’ve tried since starting this journey. I have been searching for this bra in my size for a while now. I recently tried a 30E - Panache » Cari Moulded Spacer Bra (7961) , but it was too small. I just ordered a 28FF because it was cheaper than the 30Fs I could find, but it might be a bit tight for me (from what I can tell the band runs a little small), plus it's beige, which I'm not a fan of. I love the feeling of the spacer foam and the material of the bra. This one looks great on you, and that colour is flattering on you.
Wilderness1 Thank you! I got lucky with this one. I found it in the listings when I first joined Bratabase and had no idea whether it would fit passably (ABTF recommended 34D)... but I loved the color so much I had to try it. The band is definitely snug, but I know it will become less so with wear. It really is a nice bra. I hope the 28FF works for you!
Bravo!!!! It looks incredible on your shape and that color really is gorgeous, too. I personally adore spacer foam. It’s difficult for me to get a good fit in unlined bras, but full padding tends to exaggerate my already large shape, so spacer foam hits the sweet spot between those two ends of the spectrum. Here’s to beautiful, comfortable, well-fitted bras!
This bra is a winner if I had ordered it in a different cup size.
I find it more comfy than the Panache Envy, the gore isn't tacking as stiffly. It's more of a relaxed feel with the cups. Feels like it would be a really comfy bra to wear throughout the day.
This bra is cute as heck but I need a bigger cup size.
Pros: I really like a material of this bra: it's smooth and soft. Padding is thin, it prevents nipple showing, but it doesn't feel like a mini version of bullet-proof vest. The shade of nude is quite fair, which is good for me, because I'm very pale, but it could be problem under white button-downs for girls with darker skin tones. It's the only bra I ever tried which wires don't create any discomfort, so I definitely recommend it to girls who need wider wires. It's not only width of the cup - it's wires shape. Good lift and support.
Cons: For me it's the shape of the cups. If they were more ...open and low it could be my Holy Grail in the bra world, but cups are quite tall and have a shape that suggests that they designed to encase more breast tissue in the top of the cup and in the middle of the chest. I have rather oval breasts which are very wide compared to their other dimensions, so this shape doesn't work for me. The bra lifts my breasts and pushes them to the middle, but there is still not enough breast tissue to fill the top of the cup. And tightening straps doesn't help because top of the cup just tries to cut into my pectoral muscle (but it's very firm, so all I've got from this attempt was a strange bubble near the top of the cup). So if you are like me - skip it. If you are wide, but not oval in the root - this bra could be for you. And it's boring.
I'm going to try altering the cups, so they become more open. Wish me luck.
UPD Done. Performed by seamstress, who removed the piping from the edge of the cups, then cut them, so they became more open and sew the piping back. It worked like a charm, so if you have the similar fit issue with this bra and can't return it that is the option to consider. Read more 226 more words
This bra is a nearly perfect fit. The lace top is not stretch lace but instead a semi firm mesh, which I find very nice for shaping. My breasts are very soft and I have a problem with in-cup quading from mixed texture bras (i.e. Jasmine). This bra has more depth in the bottom of the cup than most that I have tried. The seams and embroidery are quite nice and smooth and do not show through clothing. The straps are fully adjustable and do not slip throughout the day.
I think if I repurchase this bra I will sister size down, as the band has quite a bit of stretch from the beginning. I have used the second set of hooks from the beginning, but I don't feel it has stretched much with wear. The wires are firmer than I prefer, and the center gore is a bit tall on me, but overall, this is the best fitting match that I have found for my skin tone.
I have sensory issues and I find it very comfy, and it fit perfectly! (For reference, I have broad shoulders, seperate boobs, full on bottom with wide roots.) Instead of an annoying label that flaps around until I decide to cut it off, the label is printed on the back of the band where the eyes are. Big fan of that!
It has an light elastic band near the top of the stretch lace with a bit of floral lace overlapping it, so it might create a quad boob effect due to the extra pressure.
This is the best bra I have found so far, but still has a couple of problems for me: the gore is a tiny bit too wide (3/4 inch wide) and the wire is a bit too U-shaped, so it doesn't capture all my tissue off to the sides.
Well, it mostly fits, other than the wires being too wide, but the shape really doesn’t work for me. While the 32DD was too small in the cups, I don’t get any spillage in the 32E, but the sharp upward angle of the lower cup makes me look super pointy, and not in a “hey, that’s kind of cute and vintage” way. For someone with denser tissue, I can see how it would be really cute.
This is my third try in this bra. I previously tried 30E - Panache » Cari Moulded Spacer Bra (7961) , but the cups were too small. Then I tried 28FF - Panache » Cari Moulded Spacer Bra (7961) , which is a bit tight but fits well, and now I'm trying this 32E. The band fits like a 30" bra. For best fit, I'll have to wear it on the second or third hook. I measured the band until the cups started to distort, though it could have stretched further with a hard pull. It fits very well and is very comfortable with ...the looser band. I wanted a bra for everyday wear at work or on full day of bra wearing. I think this size will do just fine, and I'm glad it's the "dove" colour and not the plain beige like the 28FF. I haven't worn any of them for a full day yet because I haven't decided yet if I'm keeping the 28FF, but I'll give this one a try tomorrow at work. If I have anything to add, I'll edit this review.
Overall, great quality, great fit and great appearance. Read more 90 more words
The top half of the cups are made with a stretch lace and has no elastic band along the edge. It is very soft and comfortable. The cup is slightly small in the center that was creating just a bit of quad on me, and it 'almost' completely encompassed breast tissue under the arm, so I will check out the next cup size up. The quadding doesn't even show under clothes, but I know it's there and it changes the shape from an otherwise nice rounded profile. The cup also has nice projection and not too narrow a wire. The gore is fantastic...the top edges are overlapped just a bit, reducing the width, which is great for close-set or center fullness. It's also not too tall, but tall enough to support. The straps are fully adjustable; but might be short on someone with a long torso. The band is decently stretchy, but runs true to size
Gorgeous lace but it cuts into my breasts, giving a bit of a quadboob effect. I believe this is due to this full cup bra not being good for full on top breasts. This is marketed as a balconette bra but I think that's false. Balconette bras tend to be okay for full on top ladies.
Also, the shape given is pointy and not desired. Disappointment.
You're definitely correct about Elsa being a full cup rather than a balconette construction. Panache has this odd habit of calling their bras with this construction balconettes. This post from Bras I Hate helped me a lot figuring it out: http://brasihate.blogspot.com.au/2013/09/why-do-full-on-top-boobs-look-pointy-in.html The fabric making up Elsa's cups is stitched together in the same way as the full-cup drawing. That whole family of Panache bras unfortunately had to be a write-off for me after my boobs changed shape.
This bra is beautiful and feminine. I have it in multiple colors and sizes (32E and 30F), both fit true to size. This style pushes the breasts front and center. It also provides lift. The center gore is a slightly high for short torso women. The shape is nice, not too round or cone shaped but not smooth enough for a light tee. I love this style and it's very similar to the Panche Jasmine also very uplifting and beautiful.
I completely agree with you! And I also have multiple colors and sizes (30GG and 30H). I just received the new Aurora colorway yesterday in my now-preferred 30H size. So beautiful! I haven't tried Jasmine yet, so thank you for the comparison.
I havent tried the Jasmine yet either. For some reason the Aurora doesnt appeal to me, and I dont have the red rose (or the one that was only in england). But the next color is one I really like - some sort of blue floral on cream I think?
I am really looking forward to the light blue floral also! I have seen it on blogs and it is definitely on my wish list!
Bare Necessities is having a 25% off sale. I'm going cold turkey and not buying any more bras for a year (after the sale of course).
The bra does not have enough immediate projection so it sit below my infirmary fold wrinkles at the bottom. The wires in the center go up to high and sit on my breast tissue. its not too uncomfortable but not my favorite. I love the lace.
Really wanted to like this bra, it felt comfortable and supportive but it just has too many issues. The top of the cup cuts in - not quite causing quad boob but more of a dimple. I also just couldn't get used to the shape it gave. Too pointy for my preference.
O.M.G. Most comfortable bra EVER-I can't even begin to describe how heavenly it is. The fabric is so soft and it truly fits like a glove. The band is perfect, runs true to size give about an inch for wiggle room. This bra has enough projection for me.
Cons: Extremely sheer, fit too much like a glove - it was too pointy.
I think if someone was more even or FoT, they might get quite a bit of quadboob.
Perfect fit for FOB and wide roots. Lovely rounded shape, very comfortable and supportive, disappears under the tightest top. It is the first real perfect bra I own. Sexy enough because of the black lace over the padding. The padding is very light and does not add bulk.
This bra is PERFECT for my breasts, unsurprising I'm the exact opposite shape to those reviewers who are more 'meh' about it. This is ideal for my wide-set and full on the bottom shape.
The band is pretty tight; my underbust measurement is 30 but I have this in a 32 which feels very snug. It gives great lift and support - no movement during the day.
I have this in caramel which looks very elegant and is a good alternative to beige tones. The lace is beautiful though could be too scratchy for those with sensitive skin.
I like the fit of this bra. Good coverage while still attractive and fits my petite frame well. A 32F probably would have been even better as I sometimes have to adjust to avoid the quad-boob effect.
July 2011 update: The cup in this bra seems to have stretched since I purchased this bra (almost 3 centimeters) which explains why I no longer experience any quad-boob effects (gladly). Interesting though. Also, the band is pretty stretchy and I generally wear it on its tightest hook. Could have gone with a 28 band and been good I think.
I have very pendulous breasts, even fullness and I usually fit 32E-Fs. While some things about this bra were great, the fit was not quite perfect. I am tall and usually have to adjust the straps to max, but these just barely don't adjust long enough, so it did cause me some discomfort and pulled on my shoulders. Also, the gore is a little too tall to be comfortable with long periods of wear. I thought maybe it would go away, but it proved to be irritating and caused the skin on my sternum to be aggravated. As far as shape, while I don't personally mind the ...pointy effect, this bra does lean in that direction for me (although all bras have so far). The fit is great in all other regards, and I filled out the cups nicely! But the style is just not without its caveats for me and the gore was too wide/high.
On its appearance: Although I am not fond of the Envy's styling, it really works with this lovely deep saturated navy! If you gravitate toward navy as a flattering color like I do, you will love this colorway!! I was sad it didn't fit since I love the color. Read more 97 more words
I was recommended this bra for full on bottom shapes. I preferred the fit on the 32DD better, although neither size provided a very good fit. I liked the immediate projection at the base in this style, however in the 32E there was too much projection which gave a weird and lumpy shape to my breasts. Looking at this bra when fitted properly on others, the 32E looks much fuller on me, indicating that the cups are a bit too tall. The wires were firm and slightly narrow for my average width root. The stretch lace drooped/wrinkled on top, I am full on bottom with a lot of loose tissue from weight loss. I ended up keeping the 32DD even though it was slightly too narrow.
