This is my attempt #2 on the new, lower-wired Panache bras. The Elsa was a bit of a disappointment as it wasn't a true balconette, but as the Fern seemed to have a different cut in pictures, I decided to give it a try.
Pros: - Supportive. The mesh is actually quite robust. - Pretty. I love the print! - Sturdy, tight band. Very good! - Upfront-and-center shape. - Soft but non-stretchy straps.
Cons: - Scratchy under the hooks. I'm hoping for a Freya Piper-phenomen, that it'll soften after a few washes. - The cup shape may look very pointy on some women. It's not bad on me, ...but definitely pointier than for example Freyas are in general. - Relatively high center gore in HH cup (and beyond, likely). It fits me great, but could be a problem on someone with a shorter torso. - Even though this bra is a true balconette, I'm still not quite happy with the profile I'm getting. It's not droopy by any means, but also not the kind of perky-up'n'go-go like certain Freyas and Ewa Michalaks are.
However, I'm sure this will make a great everyday bra to use with looser-fitting clothes. My only complaint is the slight scratchiness of the hook cover, otherwise this bra feels great on.
edit: the slight creasing I get on the side of the cup affects only my smaller breast which is almost a cup size smaller than the other one, so if your both breasts are the same size, the Fern fits true in 32HH. Read more 151 more words
Finally a bra that fits! This is the best bra I have found in terms of fit. It's still new and needs to be 'worn in' but I'm very hopeful at this point. Initially the band was a little tight but after a few days, it's starting to feel perfect. Highly recommend this bra.
Only worn for a few minutes to try on and review. Bought for $27.41 online (free shipping & returns) from Amazon.com after a 20% discount for signing up for their fashion news email in February 2014. Wires - The wires were a little wide, but not enough to be uncomfortable. Not too high under my arms. Comfort - This bra seems to have lower-cut cups than others I've tried, and I like it a lot. The straps are wide-set enough to rub the front of my armpit, but it's not as bad as in other bras. It might have to do with the fabric ...the straps are made from (they are stretchy and don't have decorative edging). I think they may also be a tiny bit narrower than others I've tried, but only by about 1/16". Fit - Band feels comfortably snug. The center gore does not tack. The top edge of the cups cuts in on both sides and there is a fold and wrinkling at the bottom. Both sides have a little bit of empty space at the top corners where my armpit/boob crease is. Under clothing - I couldn't tell for sure what the shape would be like in a properly fitting size...it didn't look super round, but it wasn't pointy either. Maybe a tiny bit downward pointing. I'd like to try this one in a different size to tell for sure. Unfortunately, the horizontal seam is clearly visible under a clingy top. Overall - Beautiful bra with thin, comfortable material and low-cut cups, but I think I may need to go up a cup size in this one. Read more 172 more words
When I first bought Emily, it was too big, so I didn't really want to review her unfairly. Thanks to some new boob-weight, I'm trying this bra out today.
What you need to know about my breasts: Slightly FOB, *high*, short, narrow roots
The good: The fabric in the lower part of the cup is so soft. I want all my bras made from this fabric.
Emily has decent immediate and center projection. (Not nearly enough immediate projection for me but it's definitely not a shallow bra.
The color works as a good neutral for light skin tones.
The straps have a little stretch and are comfortable. The band is supportive and has 3 ...hooks (yay!)
The bad (for me): The wires are much too wide for my body. They come to closer to the back of my rib cage than my front and my narrow roots don't need that. (The wing height isn't bad but bc of my high roots and the width of the wires, the side of the cup is completely strangling my Tail of Spence.
This bra needs more upper fullness (so evenly full) or taller roots than I have.
The neutral: I get a very "green shape" (vs purple shape) in this bra. It's not unflattering, especially under clothes, but not as rounded of a profile as some people prefer.
Overall - if my roots were taller and lower, I would definitely wear this bra when I needed a "nude". Read more 130 more words
I bought this bra when I got to know it's got lower underwires under the arms than the regular Panache models have. Since I like the Panache regular shape, I had to try if this would work for me. Results: Pros: - very pretty - the material is soft yet feels supportive. Beautiful lace! - the underwires ARE lower. Not much, but clearly so compared to the Tango balconette. - firm band (always a plus), consistent with Tango balconette bands in size
Since the 32HH was too big for me in the cup (sheesh, I'm feeling surreal - I've gotten to _size down_ in cups two times in the last two weeks) I can't list any cons, since what I have is all due to the bra being the wrong size. I'm exchanging this to 32H, so I'll report if anything comes up.
It is somewhat itchy. However, this is the best fitting bra I own. It is VERY supportive and keeps my shoulders and back from hurting. It is not a t-shirt bra, you can see the fabric texture through certain shirts. It keeps my breasts separated and never gives me the "3rd boob" that spills boobage in the middle. I like this bra but it isn't the most comfortable for sure.
I adore this bra; I now have it in the lovely blush (a great nude pink) and the gorgeous deep violet colors. I fit very well into a 32 in Panache bras, and the HH cup is perfect. My only issue is the wires. I am short and petite in frame, so while the cup is the right size, the underwire is a bit much. If your breasts are very close together, you may have a similar issue. Bra is extremely comfortable in the morning, but by evening I am aware of where the wires end at the center gore and under the arms. I have red marks in those places when I take the bra off, but this does not keep me from wearing it. The lace is very soft, and very stretchy. I find it MUCH less itchy than most Superbra lace!! The bra gives me a wonderfully rounded and uplifting shape - my husband certainly noticed my improved perkiness and posture.
Is your back 28"? Have you tried Panache in 30 band? it should have a smaller wire so it doesn't poke under the arms
I think I am going to try a 30" next time I order. Forgot a couple things on my review: It seems like the blush colored one's band stretches more than the purple. One con I forgot is the lace on the bottom. It never lays flat and curls out or under the underwire. It looks so pretty if I don't move!
Yes, a 32 band seems a bit loose for a 28" back.
I hate when there's inconsistencies accross colors! That makes it effectively impossible to tell how it would fit!
I had never exhaled before measuring! Plus, the "lift and scoop" method seems to be helping my underarm/back pudge over time, so I keep going for smaller bands/larger cups. I think I read on curvywordy's blog that her black ones didn't seem to stretch as much. It may have something to do with darker dye.
I finally tried this bra in the RIGHT size and I'm super happy with it overall. However, I have a bone to pick with the extra mesh panel added in G+ cups. Whyyyyy?! It completely alters how top-full friendly the bra is! I thought this was just me having issues with too-small cup sizes, but apparently not. After a day with putting up with the weird pointy shape it gave my boobs, I gave up and just cut it out like I did with my two previous Anas. It looks much better now (and it actually matches the product photos.)
The wires are too wide for me. I only ...noticed this because it felt unusually poke-y in my underarms, honestly. I'm not sure if the 32H I owned also had this issue but if it did, I never realized. I had wires left over from other bras so I swapped them out.
I also shortened the straps beyond what they "should" be shortened too, right above where the padding starts; I might properly alter them shorter in the future. Panache's habit of making straps sort of half-adjustable is annoying but it won't stop me from using these heretical tricks. Read more 89 more words
This bra gives me a nice rounded shape and some cleavage I wanted. But the wires are very wide compared to the envy. I however don't get bothered, they song stab or poke or anything. Also the band might seem snug but stretches very much, also the wires are flexible. The con is that this style comes only with two hooks. It’s however very comfortable to wear also gives good coverage and a nice chance to wear low cut tops.
Omg so so so so so so pretty. I'm completely obsessed with the gorgeous colorway on this bra. The blue/champagne/slate color is just incredible together! I bought this new at Journelle.com. The construction is top quality; it's very firm and supportive. The lace embroidery does seem a bit thicker, so I would say it is visible through thin or tight shirts. The cups were too wide for me, but almost all cups are, so I wore it anyway. Unfortunately, I can no longer wear this after my reduction.
This bra was such a soft material. The pattern on it was cute. The problems I had with it were that the wires were so long they left welts near my armpits, and were too wide. The band also left a red rash around the edges which took days to fully go away.
I really want to love this bra but it is so ITCHY. The fabric - especially at the straps - is like slowly being tortured. The quality is nice and it fits me well but the itchiness is something I can't get past. The fabric is a little stiff and I'm not crazy about the shape, although it is very round. It's a bit too low and natural for me.
I love the way this bra looks, I got it in white and it looks nice. The biggest problem for me with this bra is the underwire. It pokes into my under arm to the point where it was red and very painful and I've actually got marks from it that won't go away (makes it look like I haven't shaved...). It stretches out after wearing it but after washing it it's back to how it was before.
This is a lovely bra, and the stretch lace works well for my uneven breasts. When I first wore it, the top of the gore really dug in and was painful. This is not so bad after washing it, however now I get pain under my right breast after a few hours wear. The bottom of the cup also feels like it is struggling to fit my breasts in (not enough immediate projection).
The band is too tight for me, but the cups fit almost perfectly and give an AMAZING shape. There is a little wrinkling in the lace near the strap on my smaller breast, but not too bad, and it goes away if I add a pad on that side. I bought this bra in this size at the insistence of the local bra boutique that my size in Panache is absolutely a 32HH, and I really should've insisted on a 34H instead. In addition to the band being painfully tight, the cups/straps eat my poor Tail of Spence alive, as most Panache bras seem to do, and I ...think this is exaggerated by having a too small band. For reference, I am short rooted, even, narrow, and projected. My biggest fitting challenge seems to be my incredibly short torso, everything seems like "a lot of bra" on me.
I will probably keep this bra for now as it is a nice unpadded nude bra, and I absolutely ADORE the nice projected round shape it gives me. If/when I do sell it, it'll be because of the armpit issues; I'll probably look into a 34H to see if that helps. Read more 91 more words
The band run way too big on this bra, i guess it would fit 34 H comfortably. Very pretty pale blue colour. The bra has a soft inner mesh, pleasant on the skin. I prefer Panache Jasmine or Andorra, Colette has a different cut. It makes my breast less rounded and more pointed forward. In total the bra is too big for me.
Love it. Love everything about the fit, the feel. It's perfect. I find it very comfortable although I did purposely buy it with the band fitting one size bigger. I intended to sew the center gore together to bring the cups higher so the wire wouldn't poke me under my arm pits or chaff. But now I want it in every color.
Is your back 28"? Have you tried Panache in 30 band? it should have a smaller wire so it doesn't poke under the arms
