I got this wonderful 34F - Panache » Floris Balconnet Bra (7311) from Aronymouse and I'm in love. The band and the cups fit perfectly but unfortunately on the tightest band setting. I love the look of this bra and the mesh/embroidery details on the top of the cup. They look delicate and vaguely lace-like while not showing up under clothes. This one's a keeper.
This review is for the Panache Wired Sport in 342F UK, color Fiery Red. My ABTF size is 32G or 34 FF UK. I chose this based on my experience with the Panache Sport, needing a 34F in the non-wired since it runs tight in the band and large in the cup.
Band: * Runs tight. I could probably use this 34 without an extender, but it might be more comfortable with one. Has 3 hooks by 3 columns.
Wires: * Firm, like all Panache wires. Sits well below my IMF as I'll explain below.
Cups: * A little tall for my short roots, but overall great.
Straps: * The straps are adjustable.
Fabric: * Great for ...sports.
Hardware: * The hardware is matching red, including the J-hook.
About me: very close set (breasts touch), very narrow roots, very projected at the wire, full on bottom, short roots, soft tissue, significant rib flares, narrow shoulders.
FIT
* The band length was a little snug. I'm a 32 or 34 due to rib flares and this bra runs tight, so a 34 is pushing it for me but not bad. * The wires are NOT ok for me. They really sit on my rib flares as you can see in the pictures. * The gore doesn't really tack since it's a mixed compression and encapsulation bra. But it does help a little with separation. At least it's not a uniboob. * The cups gave a great shape. Unfortunately I need more projection at the wire (the non-wired version works for me because my breasts can "crush" the bottom and cause a comfortable enough fold-over which looks fine even if they don't sit as high as in the wired version. * The straps are long enough. I wish the J-hook was a bit lower since I'm short. It sits super high on me and pulls straps towards my neck. * The sides are a comfortable height for me.
OVERALL IMPRESSION * This is a really great sports bra but due to the pain on my ribs I'll stick with the non-wired version. Read more 223 more words
Band is too tight. I guess Panache bands are smaller than I am used to. Straps are too far apart so not comfortable. Wire isn’t tall enough at side. There is a good 1 in of empty channeling under the arm. I feel if the wire went all the way up the fit would be better. Maybe try one cup larger?
It fits! This is the first full cup style that I've tried that actually fits...and since it fits, it's actually kind of sexy. Usually full cups look so matronly to me. You can see in my pictures that the decorative lace under the underwire folds up kind of funny. It's obnoxious, but doesn't affect the fit of the bra.
I'm not sure how I feel about this color. I think they call it "heather," but it's really dusty lavender. The color is on the matronly side, but it's probably more functional than black or white (which are often visible under clothes), and slightly sexier than nude.
Also--the material is a little scratchy, especially where my armpits/arms rub against the bra material. I suspect that for normal use (i.e. with a shirt over it, instead of walking around the house in nothing but a bra) this wouldn't be a problem.
Really was not excited for this one, but it was on sale in my size, so I thought I'd try it out. I was surprised that I actually really liked the style and color (I got the 'scarlet') on me.
And it was so close to fitting me: the band was great, the wire seemed to be comfortably enclosing my breast tissue, on first putting it on it felt really comfortable and supportive, but the shape seemed slightly wrong. Like it was a bit too deep or not rounded enough on top or something. After wearing it for a bit I also noticed it was ...really itchy, so that wasn't so awesome either.
Might have kept it anyway since the wrinkling wasn't very noticeable, except trying a shirt on over it I found the shape it gave me (partly due to the extra fabric, I'm sure) to be ridiculously pointy. It looked pretty silly on me. So back it goes.
Edit: So actually I did end up keeping this because I needed a bra with a different cut that didn't poke out of a dress I was wearing to an event, and this was the best one I had on hand that was reasonably comfortable and fit okay. After wearing it all night, it was a bit itchy but otherwise still comfortable so it'll be good to at least have for certain occasions. Read more 130 more words
Trying bras on under a shirt is my new "hot tip" for diagnosing bad shapes.
It's really easy to be like "but it's only a LITTLE quad-boob", when you're just looking at the bra. But under a close fitting top, the weird shape jumps out!
I like the pattern, although it reminds me of a granny's couch. The band tends to stretch out fairly quickly, more often than my other bras, so I find that I am hand washing it a bit more often to get it back to shape. Has good coverage, doesn't really poke anywhere, can't really think of anything wrong.
Pretty decent bra overall, 2 happy breasts out of 2
I love this bra. It is not exactly my size, next time I'm going for a 32FF. But with my separate breasts it forms at least a little bit of definition in deep-cup clothes. It creates a nice round shape. Also being a multivay is a good bonus. Now the negative - this may be caused by that I need a tighter band. The cups are wider and more shallow than I'd like and the cups are collapsing under my weigth a little on one point. But it is still comfortable never the less.
I bought the "Chili" colour, which is really a reddish orange. Beautiful yet simply adourned bra, truly plunge contrary to many others.
But VERY stretchy, and I mean very, I'm ordering a 30 band size (when my underbust measurement is 84cms, ie qualifies me as a 34-36) and small in the cup (going up two cup sizes), worse than my usual Fantasie bras.
The fabric is soft and looks comfortable, but I don't know if it's a style for me. Quite pointy, though this might be due to the bra being very small when I tried it on.
I only just got this as a 'try before you buy' because I'm in the process of getting rid of nursing bras in favor of proper bras. I've never been formally sized or worn the proper bras so this is a learning experience. Overall the bra felt snug around my torso. The straps felt like they were a bit too far apart but it wasn't terrible. I haven't worn underwire in like. ever. so that was a bit uncomfortable but it's likely just because I'm not used to it. I couldn't tell if the bit of gapping was because of the molded cup or because my breasts are very squishy and not self supporting.
Great fit at first but the band I both lost some weight AND the band was very stretchy to begin with. I am having some issues now with the underwires pushing down and flaring outward slightly, and have to wear the bra on the middle or tightest hooks. The gore tacks very well, the cups are filled, the material is not scratchy, wires are a great width for me and it seems to accommodate that I have a bigger space at the base of my breast and then am close-set near the top (maybe splayed roots?). I would buy this again in the sister size as so far ...it is the best fit I've found even with the band loosening up so much. My only complaint is that it doesn't give a super round shape, it more or less supports my breasts in the shape they naturally have (slight ski slope shape) so if you're looking for a rounded shape this might be a miss. Overall it's a great everyday bra and I will definitely buy it again in a different size. Read more 74 more words
I have been wearing mostly 34E bras lately, (Panache Envy, Jasmine, Cleo Hettie, Cleo Marcie), but I have to size up to 34F in the Ana. I had to go up a cup size a few years ago with the Ava as well (from 32E to 32F). In my usual Panache/Cleo sizes, I will get quadding near the gore, I think because I'm relatively center-full and have immediate projection at the center/gore. Other details on my shape: very projected at IMF, average root width (I think), non-self-supporting/pendulous, softer tissue, mostly even or slightly FOB.
This is a really comfortable fit for me, with the wires feeling more comfortable than my other Panache bras (which I also love.) The Ava/Ana has been my plunge solution for low cut tops and dresses, since I really haven't found a molded or spacer plunge that fits nearly as well.
Definitely the wrong size. Band too tight and cups too small. I’m spilling all over. Need to try at least a 36F, if not a FF. May also be a shape mismatch because I rarely get wrinkled bottom cup...
Wore this one tonight for about 5 hours and I was still comfy by the end. The band might not be that tight. I'm loving it even more and am seriously considering 1. buying more Theas and 2. coming up with a pattern based on it to sew my own.
This was recommended to me as a strapless bra with seamed cups (instead of molded ones). I tried the Panache Evie in 32FF and 34F which are sizes that typically work for me.
The band on the 34F is bit too big for me. It works on the tightest hooks, but I would be concerned that it would be too loose once it broke in. The gore floats and I get quadding at the top because the cups are too small. It isn't uncomfortable because the fabric is soft, but it doesn't look right. I'm not sure if a different size would help or not. I think then shape itself is the problem - it wants less fullness in the top.
Fit was pretty good: band was firm but comfortable, good tack, good encapsulation. But the cut of the cups just doesn't seem to work for the specifics of my breast fullness. The top edge was cutting across my upper breast on the larger side, and in general I felt like I might fall out too easily when bending over (not saying my breasts would have actually fallen out, just that it gave me that overexposed feeling). Like many Panache bras, also gives me a sort of outward/downward pointing shape that I don't love.
J-hook adds some nice versatility, and helps compensate (for me) for the wide-set straps which aren't fantastic for my narrower shoulders. But even with the J-hook fastened, I couldn't get past the cup cut issues. Band was also thin and didn't feel super supportive, and I like a supportive band.
For background, I have a 33" underbust, so I sometimes fit into a 32FF and sometimes in a 34F depending on the bra. I tried the Panache Envy in both sizes because it is recommended for a variety of bust types.
The band on the Envy seems stretchier than other Panache bras - the 34 band easily stretches to 34.5". It feels a little loose for me and I can pull it nearly 2" away from my back. The cups on this size also do not work for me. The gore tacks without digging into my skin like Panache bras often do. Unfortunately, that is probably just a consequence ...of the band being a bit too big for me. The cups are also too big for me which is unusual for a 34F. My tissue mostly fills the bottom of the cup, but I get noticeable wrinkling in the sides and top of the cup.
In this case, the 32FF fits me a lot better (see that review), so I would strongly consider sister sizing down if you often find yourself between sizes. Read more 74 more words
I tried the 34F to see if it would alleviate some of the fit issues of the 32FF. Unfortunately, sister sizing up didn't fix the problems I was having.
Similarly to the 32FF, the 34F looks like it fits and gives my breasts a nice, natural shape. However, it just isn't comfortable. The wires extend too far back and the straps are set too wide for me which combines to cause the cup/strap to cut into my armpit. Additionally, the straps themselves are uncomfortable. Something about the material makes it feel like it is cutting into my shoulder even though they are not too tight.
As with the ...32FF, I do like the cups. There is good projection at the wire and it creates a good shape. The stretch lace sits nicely on my breast tissue while allowing for some size variation between breasts and days. The only problem is with the wires - they dig in a bit at the gore and under my arms.
Overall, I'm disappointed that this bra doesn't seem to work for me. I want it to, but it just isn't comfortable enough for me to keep. Read more 84 more words
This is a pretty bra that offers good support. The center gore is among the lower that Panache makes. I found that it rested on my sternum, but was snug there. I have close-set breasts, so its pretty impossible to find a bra that doesn't dig in at the center gore. Bending the wires out some helped with that. It's pretty comfortable overall, but the lace at the bottom of the cups in particular can get a bit scratchy. The top lace is stretchy and lays flat for me, and could be good to accommodate a variety of breast shapes. The band is quite stretchy; technically I measure into a 32 band and could probably go down to a 32 in this, but I'm looking for some wiggle room to allow for expansion during pregnancy right now. There are matching panties available with this bra as well.
That color is so beautiful.
Washing the bra will likely help soften the lace and make it feel less scratchy.
