This bra really fit me like a glove when I put it on! It has really stretchy lace and for once it didn't make my slightly conical boobs look pointy. I love how the gore is on the lower side so that I can wear different kinds of tops with it and let my close set boobies breathe. If you're full on bottom, slightly conical with roots on the lower, narrower side, this may be worth a shot.
This year's colors of the Andorra Plunge are discontinued (although Panache still has it listed in the "latest collection," so I'm hoping for the best), so I had to search around quite a bit to find one that really fit. I tried the 34E, which was too small all over, and then the 36DD and 36E. The 36E is just about perfect for me. It's not a super structured bra and it gives me a relatively natural, rounded shape.
The construction, overall, is very nice. I love the bright pink, although I'm hoping it eventually gets released in basic colors like nude and black. The lace that makes up ...the cups is soft and gets softer with washing, and the wings are made from a spandex-y fabric that feels like leotard material. The softness comes along with stretchiness, but that again is a feature in my book (no thanks to my v-shaped back). The top edge of the cups is stretchy, too, which is nice because it contains my slightly different sizes without gapping or quadboob. The straps are adjustable all the way up and down, and are set in towards the center a little bit — I wouldn't say it's a true leotard back, but useful if you have slightly sloping shoulders.
The gore is a medium height — reasonably tall for a plunge and nicely supportive without being too separate. If you're super-close-set, this gore might be too much.
These wires are wide, which is great for me. They extend all the way to the center of my underarms, and just about enclose all of my breast tissue. Truth be told, they're are still sitting on a slight bit of underarm breast tissue even with all the lovely width, but everything else is SO close to perfect that it doesn't bother me. The plunge even seems to eliminate the slight orange-in-a-glass that I get with the full cup Andorra... I'm guessing the wires are a little wider at the base. All in all, this bra is great for everyday, low-impact kinds of wear, and I'm hoping it'll be around for many seasons. Read more 243 more words
I am a 36DDD/36E (US/UK) with a 36" underbust measurement. The size was appropriate, but the shape was completely wrong for me. This bra is unlined and very sheer. It's very pretty and less scratchy than I'd expect for a lace mesh. It's meant for someone with a lot more projection and wider-set breasts than I have. The cups were too narrow and conical for me, and the gore visibly pushed my breasts apart. I returned it.
A little snug in the cups (which is user error from ordering a smaller cup) and a little bit of show through t-shirts but not terrible. Stretchy lace and nice quality material without being uncomfortable. Seems very sturdy except in the top lace portion, where it seems extremely fragile and prone to rips. All in all a decent bra for the price and quality of band seems like it would last as long as you get the right size and are really careful washing by hand.
Cups are too small. Need to try 1 or even 2 sizes bigger. I think the 36 band for me in Panache is better than my usual 34. Not only is this a beautiful bra, I think the shape it will give me in the correct size will be amazing.
The most important thing to know about my breasts is that they're very pendulous and the tissue is very soft. I have relatively narrow roots, medium height. They're also splayed and wide-set.
I love Envy. I wrote a review of the 38E - Panache » Envy Balconnet Bra (7285) a moment ago, and now I'm writing a review of the 36E. This bra has always been a favorite of mine, but I've lost weight and I wasn't sure if Envy would still work for me. I'm pleased that the 36E fits perhaps even better than the 38 did when I was at my previous weight. Envy ...has a 4 part cup with stretch lace at the top (one of my essentials) and it's extremely deep at the wire, making it great for very projected breasts. The 36 also has clearly shorter wires than the 38, which was too tall for me. The straps on the 36 are also much narrower, but no less comfortable, than the 38. And as a note, the deep rose colorway is so beautiful. I really appreciate that Panache is willing to have a variety of colors for Envy, Panache Clara Full Cup Bra (7255) , and some of their other bras. I appreciate my beige stuff but life's too short for me to just wear tan bras! Anyway--love this bra, it's great. Fantastic for folks with a lot of projection. Read more 131 more words
This bra sits well and holds tight. It gives a good breast shape under clothes and I have worn it for full days without it bugging me in any way. It kept the (hard) work of holding the breast well and snug. The only problem I have with this bra is the seam pattern is visible through thin, tight t-shirt (as it is a raised print). The nude colour, which is what I currently have, does not show under clothes (except the above mentioned patters).
Beautiful bra and looks really nice on! Feels well constructed. Some wrinkles on my right (smaller) breast, which could show under thinner shirts, and straps are slightly wide, but otherwise perfect. My current favorite bra.
i dont know exactly why this doesnt work for me, the whole construction is just...strange. the material isn't the best, and i find it a bitch scratchy, especially the straps. I dont know if this would improve with washing, but i assume it would.
I love the cobalt color and the lace pattern, its a sort of geometric rose and very pretty. the lift i get int eh lower section is awesome, i just wish it would continue tot the upper! for me, the mesh section and lower section meet in a seam that bisects my nipple. i would rather it be one way or the other - covered ...or hidden- because the way it is now means my nipple gets smooshed and scraped unless i tuck it down.
The straps are very far apart, and i know the band is a size too large; i ordered 36 since some 34s have been too small, shouldn't have. On the tightest hook it feels like it could stand to be a few hooks shorter. i think ideally, id need a 34 band and break it in a bit with an extender.
The lace section doesnt lay flat for me, which seems to be something im facing with most cups constructed this way. maybe i dont have enough center fullness, i have no idea. i suspect the wires may be too narrow, as i have to do the same thing i did with the 36E - Freya » Faye Underwired Plunge Balcony Bra (4201) and scoop in to the wires before they'll stop digging, and the gore still presses a bit uncomfortably despite being almost nonexistent. they share the same very sever U shape as the Faye as well.
i dont think i get much of a shape from this, but due to the poor fit i cant tell. right now it seems sort of wide and blah, not very attractive, and the top section's looseness is visible under shirts.
All together, this is just not comfortable for me and i dont think im going to hazard a try at another size. Read more 242 more words
This bra is pretty (and a great bright turquoise color), but I think the full cup just isn't the right shape for me. Pros: Hurrah to Panache for a comfortable band with soft netting all the way around and long straps that adjust all the way up and down. I have a v-shaped back, and going up a band size works better for me in this bra. My underbust measures 33", but I'm more comfortable in the 36E. The lace is a bit scratchy at first, but I think it would soften up if I was going to keep it and wash it. I'm not a huge fan ...of the all-around lace that frames the cups, but that's mostly aesthetic — I think all the scallops look overwhelming on my short frame.
Even though the gore is quite narrow, it still cuts in a bit at the top and I don't think it would be comfortable for all-day wear. While the wires are very close to wide enough and long enough for my boobs, they're still sitting on a little bit of breast tissue. That's normal for me because the tissue extends all the way under my arms. I'm hoping more of it will migrate forward someday.
Panache seems to have wires that extend nice and wide to the underarms, but are pretty narrow at the base of the cup, so I get a bit orange-in-a-glass-y. It's not really enough to bother about, but combined with the other features that aren't quite right, this one is going back. The plunge Andorra works SO much better for my shape. This is so wide! The straps are almost falling off my shoulders, the band is snug but the middle is pulling my boobs down instead of sitting inbetween. It stretched pretty fast.
I am pretty happy with this bra even if it's not a perfect fit. It's comfortable to wear and I don't feel pain or discomfort wearing it, or right after taking it off, which was always an issue with past bras. Shoulder strap placement is good, and the wires are wide enough to fit all my breasts. I'm wearing it on the widest hook but i can fit my hand under the band that way - but i'm just getting used to snug bands so I'm probably causing some of the fit problems.
the cups cover more of my breasts than I'm used to having covered, but the bra is so comfortable I don't care about that at all.
