What was I thinking? Just because a wireless bra comes in larger sizes, does not mean it has the support of a wired bra. Oh boy. The straps don't shorten NEARLY enough to PRETEND to hold up my breasts. This is just going braless with more steps. If you want a glorified boob sweat towel, here you go. I've never missed my young self just being able to throw on a sports bra more than when I try on a wireless attempt at a bra. It's not even flattering. There's no way for this to look good on projected breasts, at all. They're just going south. Simple as.
Has J-hooks. That's pretty cool for the narrow shoulder havers. High roots and narrow shoulders, get a buddy to help you adjust the straps because otherwise, it's gonna be a lot of taking it off and putting it back on. I can't praise this material enough. I'm trying SO HARD to find the right size in this bra. You'll see when I finish uploading all the data from all the sizes I ordered. Oh boy. It's so soft. The stretch fabric on the top of the cups is so cute. The double bagged band is insanely comfortable. But the wires are so damn high (on the edge and at the gore) & too wide for me. I have short/high roots. This is a shape mismatch. The cups also aren't deep enough for the amount of projection I have, but I want it to work so badly. I just wish the frame worked for me. Edit: Turns out none of the sizes in this model work for me. Bummer.
Unlike my 38J - Panache » Clara Full Cup Bra (7255) this bra does not have enough room in the bottom of the cup for some reason. It's a weird fit that I can't explain. Not enough center room etc.
If this bra were narrow enough for me, it would be the perfect bra. However, the wide, average height wires irritate my armpits. The band is nice and firm, true to size unlike most bra bands in this band size. The stretch lace is soft and firm. While the Pearl color is not my favorite, I do appreciate that it is a very slightly peach toned ivory. I also appreciate that there is no quadding or quadboob, unlike in most stretch lace bras in my size. The straps are nice and wide and padded, like in all Panache bras of this size. The gore is fairly low for a bra this size but there is still lots of support. An excellent bra for someone with average to wide roots and average to taller roots/average to lower set boobs.
This bra gives a surprisingly east-west silhouette, despite the "side support" fabric in the cup. The feel of the inside of the cups is nice and soft, but the outside is scratchy. Sensory issues, beware. The straps are also not very pleasant. They're also not fully adjustable. It's even a pain to adjust them at all with the strap edge detail. I've seen better from Panache. The outside of the bra has a nice two tone black aesthetic—matte lace and shiny satin. It gives it a cute style. I like how it looks, but I don't like how it feels to wear it. The wires are too wide AND too tall for my shape.
The wires are all up in my armpits. Sheesh. I know my roots are high on my chest, but damn. The wires are too tall AND too wide. Definitely not enough immediate projection for me either. My tissue is doing the little fold over thing at the outside of the cup. The construction is pretty rigid, though, so I will give it that. The fabric is certainly not the softest I've felt, sensory issues beware, but it makes sense with the amount of structure it has. The lace trim on the band also doesn't go all the way around. It awkwardly stops midway under the cups. I don't know how I didn't notice that on the blue one, but I noticed it on this one.
I've worn this for several days now. Most importantly: I didn't have any backpain at the end of the day, the way I do if I go braless.
At first I could barely tell I was wearing it, but by the end of the day the band area felt a little sore, there was some itchiness from the stiffness of the fabric, and I'd found that if I slouch the center gore digs in a bit. The sore band area and stiff fabric should resolve with wear and washing. The gore is a good reminder for posture, I suppose.
I have two additional problems. 1. The straps, adjusted to their shortest ...length, still keep sliding off my shoulders. Either they are not short enough, or they are placed too widely for my shoulder width/shape. Note that I am one of those women who cannot hold a purse on one shoulder -- it will always slide off. 2. The bottom of the cup is a fairly stiff supportive fabric, but the top of the cup is a stretchy lace. At the seam between these two fabrics, there is a little double boob going on, which suggests the stiff fabric is compressing the breast tissue.
The bra is wearable enough that I'm keeping it, but next time I order this model I will try a 40JJ. Read more 111 more words
While this bra does a fine job of containing the breasts and holding them steady, there is very little uplift when it comes to cup shape itself. With a shirt on it looks like my breasts are saggy even if they're holding still. Sturdy bra though, good for everyday use. Embroidery shows texture through thin fabrics.
If the cups are saggy the cup of the bra might be too big for you. That the wire doesn't sit flat against your chest might be because the cup is to shallow. The cups of the Elomi bras are deeper, if those fit you that might be an issue. Another possible issue could be that the Caitlyn has a 4-part cup with Side-Support-Panel and the Tango a 3-part cup. Your breasts in the Tango might fall to the side (mine do), causing the sagginess.
i had one of another size a while back where the cup was full and the professional fitter said it was good. i still had a saggy look - even though the back of the bra did not ride up and the cups were filled properly. i suspect it was just a poor cut for me personally. the elomi bras are simply a better match shape-wise.
That is interesting. To be honest, I would love to read more from you. I have both the Elomi Caitlyn and the Tango, I would not have thought it possible that if the Caitlyn fits that the Tango doesn't. I find the cup shapes of those two bras so similar! I also have a friend who wears 36 K/38JJ/40J (UK), her breasts are very full on top. The Caitlyn doesn't fit her, it cuts into her breasts, but the Goddess Alice (in US 40 L) works for her. I know that the Jayne is good for women who are very full on top like my friend, I thus am very surprised to read that both the Caitlyn and the Jayne fit you.
“going south” LOL
I know what you mean
