    30GG

    Fits

I had a hunch a softcup G might be small so I ordered G and GG for comparison. The reason? I have a Shock Absorber Max Sports bra in a 30GG which fit completely perfectly by surprise, a full cup or two larger than I ever would have imagined. It just goes to show it's not about the "size" on the tag but how the actual garment fits your body.

Read the G review here: http://bra.pe/SN1

The quality feels quite nice. Very soft lining, beautiful yet simple design. I especially like the low balconette-style slight v-neck as opposed to some other soft support bras out there that ... look very granny!! There are 6 adjustments rows of hooks instead of an underwire's usual 3. This means you can adjust the bra either over time or as weight fluctuates. I suppose its marketed for 'maternity' according to the Superbra website but I know many women seek wireless comfort bras to their much more common wired sisters.

Overall, extremely supportive and looks fantabulous! It could be a manufacturer's defect in the smaller version because strange enough merely going 1-cup larger (band size the same) this band is noticeably tighter and therefore more supportive. Check the measurements of both bras.

**Update: I wear this bra not for everyday but in 2 situations: 1. For several hours each night lounging or 2. On long days working at home. The straps start digging in after a while. Maybe it's not the perfect softcup but for now it does its job mostly well.

    Measured unstretched before wearing.
    Purchased late-February '11 from figleaves.

    • Interesting how come even though both bras are 30 band, one fits fits and not the other!
And also how a smaller cup size ends up in a slightly larger bust perimeter than the GG!

    • 1

Very interesting indeed! It's probably because the ill-fitting size creates more sag so the breast tissue is more "out there" creating the wider perimeter. I prefer it smaller! (I think we all do) ;)

    Didn't fit

I will write a blog post on this one day soon but for now I wanted to enter the relevant information on here before I sent the bra back.

So I guess that last statement says it all - I am sending the bra back! I had very high hopes for this bra after a fellow blogger whose size is not entirely dissimilar to mine said it was the best non-wired bra she'd tried. However, my issue is that it does not come large enough in the cups for me, sadly. I wear a H/HH/J in regular wired bras and know from previous trying on experience ... that I need to go up at least one or two cup sizes in order to get a good fit in non-wired bras.

This one was very pretty indeed and the fabric was gorgeously soft. But the cups squashed my boobs to the sides (I should have known this as all Panache bras do this to me) and cut into them and flattened them at the front. You can see from the pics - particularly the one looking down - that the bra gives me a most bizarre shape.

If it wasn't for this, I would definitely have kept it. The lace was not itchy at all and the straps and band were really comfortable.

In an ideal world I would have this bra in a 30 or 32 K, or perhaps J cups that actually ARE J cups. This 34J had lots of room in the 'cups' (as much as there are cups in a non-wired bra) at the sides so I think perhaps it is the cut and shape of this bra which are wrong for me, as opposed to the size.

I would recommend this bra to a friend but I would suggest trying on several different sizes in a store instead of doing what I did and ordering it online and wasting money on postage (grr). Either that or find a retailer with free postage and returns so you can order lots of different sizes for fit options and then return them all and buy on another site where it's cheaper https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";-)" />

Maybe I should try a Triumph Doreen instead - it is the world's best-selling bra, after all!

    28E

    Didn't fit

After trying the Panache Cleo 28E - Cleo » Lyzy Triangle (9766) , this seemed like another good wireless/bralette option. After all, if the 28E fit in the Lyzy, it's probably going to fit here too, right? Not really.

This is marketed as a maternity bra, but from the pictures, it seemed like a regular wireless bra, but with 6 hooks on the back instead of the usual three. I'm not really sure how much the fit issues I'm having are related to this or not.

First of all, the band feels very tight, especially around the "wires"/boning channels in the front. This ... is where I can feel the tightness the most. I've always heard people mentioning that the band tends to run tighter in black or dark bras, but I didn't have an issue with the 30 30D - Panache » Envy Balconnet Bra (7285) , so I didn't think of sizing up to a 30 from the 28.

Even on the loosest of the 6 hooks, it still feels tight. If I add an extender, the cups look even worse.

This is weird, because according to the measurements I took, it should be just as comfortable as the Lyzy.

Just by looking at it when it came out of the packaging, I also noticed that the cups seemed WAY bigger than what I was expecting. This is a 3 part cup with 2 bottom sections and a vertical/horizontal bit that stretches across the top of the breasts.

My assessment is that the cup is way too projected for my shape, as I get a ton of wrinkling at the apex (which, again, I wasn't expecting). The cups also look a lot wider than the Lyzy. Despite looking overall bigger, I feel like the upper part of the cups would cut into breast tissue if I had enough volume to fill up the bra. It seems to give a very pointy look/shape.

Overall, I think this is a shape mismatch, because I don't think sizing down would be helpful.

The impression I got was that this was a maternity bra made for someone who wore 28E before pregnancy and wanted something that would still accommodate them with the growth along the pregnancy without having to remeasure and go for a different size.

The quality seems really good, and there is a lining in a light peach/beige color. The lace is nice, and the fabric feels soft. I get the impression that the straps don't have enough lenght to be comfortable.

I'm probably either going to return it or try to sell it.

You might like Melinda G. The brand has an unstructured soft cup bra / plunge. I have it in fab curvy small. But you'd have to be able to tighten the band. I'm 28-29" underbust and it's almost too big. I think it's gives a pretty decent shape.

    Didn't fit

I ordered this bra because I wanted a soft cup bra to wear in the evenings after work and sometimes on the weekends (a lounge bra, if you will.) I read reviews that it is best to size up in the cup with this bra, but unfortunately, this was not an option for me since it is not available above a J cup. I decided I wanted to try it anyway.

The band is quite stretchy and I'm finding I need a 30 band instead of a 32 band more times than not, but at least this one has 6 rows of hooks. Maybe this will ... allow me to get a decent amount of wear out of it even though I'm already wearing it on the 3rd or 4th row. The straps aren't as wide as I'd like, but they're not horribly uncomfortable. Wider straps would bring the comfort level up a notch, though.

The so-called "cups" aren't as deep as I feel they should be (they are more wide than deep), so the center gore does not lie flat, and probably wouldn't even in a better size. However, I had realistic expectations concerning this type of bra and was already prepared for this. I had quite a bit of quad boob after I swooped and scooped, but honestly, I'll probably wear this one without being concerned about swooping and scooping (since there are no wires, everything will just settle back to where it came from anyway.) If I don't do that, it actually fits fine in the cups.

Good news is concerning the shape and comfort. It is quite comfortable and actually does offer a fairly decent amount of support (much better than the cheap sports bras I had been wearing after work.) The shape is pretty good, too. Even though my boobs are touching, it doesn't look like I have uni-boob -- I actually still have 2 boobs, even under a shirt. The profile is a slightly uplifted, rounded shape that wouldn't make me self-conscious if I went out in public, even. It is MUCH better than the shape I got from the Freya Kelly that I tried a few months ago (droopy and pointy.)

I think it's very pretty with the white lace over the pink, although my fiance commented on how it looked like a bra from the 50's to him. I wasn't sure if that was a negative comment or not (men, geez.) I like it, and that's all that matters really.

So, all in all, it's a success. I REALLY wish it came in a 30JJ or 30K, but I'll make due with this one for now. I will eventually order the black one as well so I have more options.

    • After taking out the wires of Andorra 36J I can wholeheartedly recommend that as a softcup.

I've considered Sophie as well but now I know I don't need it :)

    • Oh and I also must say I adore the top you're wearing on the picture. It's really fresh in color. Couldn't stop looking at it cause it made me happy XD

Aw, thanks! It's just an Old Navy t-shirt, but I love it.

Glad you've made yourself a soft cup as well! :)

Thankfully! Fits just as well as the Black version. Although it is noticeably tighter which may be cause it is brand new where I've had the Black one for a while (just over 4 months).

I suspect I'm a G-GG in Panache depending on if the wires fit my shape or in this case if there a proper amount of material. Band is nice and firm. Straps are comfy and fully adjustable. 6 hooks for a lot of adjustment over time as the bra wears. The "Peach" color is much lighter than expected from the catalog/online. Is more like white-on-peach instead of all-beige as advertised on Bravissimo. Must be a newer production than the original. It's still a very lovely color even though my skin is a different tone. This is my 2nd of these bras and I will be purchasing more.

Purchased early-July 2011 from Bravissimo. Measured unstretched immediately before wearing.

Overall, my boobs look like they were just sitting there on a shelf instead of being supported. Almost how those sad "S, M, L" shelf bras do. Strange enough merely going 1-cup larger (band size the same) the band was noticeably tighter and overall more supportive.

This one gets returned for large, stretchy band and poor shape.

I ordered this bra in search of a softcup for hanging around at home on weekends, evenings, etc. I like the lacy design pretty much and the lining is incredibly soft. But even if I wasn't expecting the greatest uplift sadly this bra turned out not working for me and my FoB breasts.

The bands firmness was as expected but the cups aren't in any way deep enough so my boobs ended up squashed into a very bizarre shape and pointing down. Contrary to some other reviews I read I get no boob separation in this bra and the center gore is floating. The result looks like a kind of monoboob with a slightly quadboob tendency (if on could call it this way considering it didn't look like I had two boobs in the first place).

Maybe going one or two cups up as recommended by other users would improve the overall fitting but I'm not sure.

This is basically the same as the peach/white one I have - except for whatever reason the pink is at least a cup size smaller and a half band size smaller as well - enough so that it doesn't work for lounging to add modesty to a super casual outfit, or really for providing a bit of comfort. But to echo what I wrote in my other review - it's pretty, a basic "shelf bra" - it won't separate your boobs, but it will give them a bit of an oomph.

This is a reasonably comfortable "lounge/sleep" bra. Personally I prefer my DIY underwire-less Fantasie Belles, but - this is prettier! The straps are lightly padded, which is nice, and there are 6 columns of hooks for adjusting band size. It acts as a shelft bra - you'll be able to keep your bras from resting on your belly, but it won't keep them apart, by any means! It does give enough support to give me confidence running VERY quick late night errands or hanging out with people who don't regularly see me naked in a casual/sleepy way.
