    Didn't fit

So! This bra doesn't fit, but it sure is pretty. I'm not really a pink flowers kinda person, but I saw this on sale and had to have it. It was part of Panache 's SS2016 collection so most stores are trying to get rid of it.

My shape/size: 34J (ish), short roots, narrow, projected, soft tissue, pendulous, even to full on bottom, some center fullness (I think).

TLDR this bra would fit: someone with similar breasts to me, but who needs wider wires and has more outer fullness.

It's soft. It's pretty. I really like the extra mesh lining inside the cup. For the love of glorb Panache ... can you just make your straps fully adjustable and move them in a centimeter or two.

Considering the band is too large (causing the wires to sink past my IMF) I was impressed with how much lift and projection I was able to get. I'm not sure if the pictures really show that, or the odd shape it gave me. I think that shape is due to it being too wide in the wire. I can only describe it as a softened triangle or bullet shape. I couldn't fill the outer half of the cup so there was no roundness, just weird looking flatness before the projection kicked in at the apex/nipple/front of my breast/not sure what the technical term is. I also like how closed it is on top for daily wear; I move around a lot at work so anything that can hold me in when I'm powerwalking or bending over is appreciated. I think on the right person it would give a nice rounded shape too.

Unfortunately, thanks to the shape mismatch I really don't think there's a size this bra would work for me in.

As usual, I have to appreciate the typical Panache GG+ cup touches: extra, soft lining underneath the straps and near the hooks. I'm trying on a Curvy Kate bra right now and it could really use some of those details.

This bra also did weird things to me, but the uplift was insane. In fact, there was way too much of it. I feel ya on those soft fabrics: Curvy Kate has a long way to go to improve fabric softness.

I was waiting for this cut since it was announced since it is supposedly based on my personal favorite Panache cut, the Floris. Despite the lack of reviews a few weeks after its release, I took the plunge anyway. The print fell a little flat for me, which is odd because I was very much excited about it. I'm not sure exactly why, but it feels a little plain to me. The lace is indeed stretch, but it offers only minor give; it's relatively firm and completely unlike lace from Jasmine/Andorra. I actually do like this type of stretch upper panel quite a bit, I feel it would ... be more forgiving than Floris's stiff mesh. I was a little disappointed in some aspects of the construction, most notably being the power net for the band panels. Floris has this luxurious silky fabric that makes the bra feel very high quality and smooth, while Thea has the ever-so-slightly scratchy power mesh. This may be good for summer, perhaps. The cup's construction seemed to be made with materials similar to Floris.

    As for the fit:
Compared to my 36HH Floris, the 36HH Thea does not allow for quite as much center fullness, therefore the gore floats enough to stick a finger underneath it. I did not have any quadding, however, so I'm not sure how sizing up in the cup would work for me. Because the band is a light pink, it is not terribly firm, and I would say that it is true to size for light-colored Panache balconettes.

The biggest turn off for this bra was the insane shape it gave me. I am not a stickler for shape problems - I accept that a few Panache cuts can make me a bit pointy (Jasmine, Andorra), while others give me a very round look (Floris, Envy to some extent.) Thea, however, gives me the most abnormal shape I've ever seen, quite pointy with odd cutting in along the outsides. I attached a drawing I made that helps me illustrate what happens with this cup on me. This shape can be seen in the model's photograph slightly (I took it as a fluke mismatch of cut and model), and it is made much more apparent in larger cup sizes. This issue was also likely further complicated by my softer breast tissue. I'm not really sure who will be able to find a match in the Thea, but this odd shape has me shipping Thea back ASAP.

    • Bummer - another Floris fan here who thought that looked lovely. I had a shape like that with a 32HH - Fantasie » Lois Side Support Bra (2972) - but i thought it was the side-support panel. and I'm still less than thrilled with the mesh texture of the only Jasmine I own. Hrmph.

Good thing I am still wanting more bras from Ewa Michalak, i guess
