Parfait Charlotte is probably the most beautiful piece of lingerie I've ever seen. It fit me better than I thought it would be. You can read my review on my blog.
I seriously envy you and your ability to wear literally anything.
Looks really lovely on you! Great colour with your skin tone 👌🏼
Interesting how it doesn't come up too high under your arms? (Yay for you of course) Perhaps a size range thing; bigger sizes get too tall? Anyway that's why my poor Charlotte is in the bra surgery basket (;
lcl0706 Not everything :-) but I must admit lots of bras fit me. @bubblegum It's higher under my arms but not so much. Gossard Retrolution is worse. I think bigger sizes are taller and also if you are smaller it could be worse.
Looks great! In my size it is high under the arm and pretty much flattens my breasts into the center of my chest. Your size range is a way better fit!
I've been in love with the Charlotte since I first saw it, but there's no way that the reach, rose or red ones will fit me due to the shape. I'm interested in trying the floral one because I read it's deeper, but I'm not a fan of the pattern. I love the vintage feel of the bra, especially in rose.
H_Allice I have a floral Charlotte on the way to me so I will review it. I also read it's deeper so I've chosen 30DD and I'm really curious how it will fit me. I plan to do a comparison of red and floral shimmer colorways.
I bought this bra to replace the Jeanie in 30F which was too big for me. Size wise, this fits much better in the cups and the band is nice and firm, and I feel well supported and it gives a nice rounded shape. It's a basic bra but the lace makes it a little nicer. The colour I have is "European Nude" which was darker than what I was expecting, but is otherwise fine.
The cups are stiffer than the Jeanie. The tags on the back band are pretty scratchy, although it'll probably soften up over time. The shoulder straps feel like they ...have sharper edges than the ones on the Jeanie as well. I like the way this bra looks, but looks aside, next time I'd go back to the Jeanie just because it was more comfortable.
Update: The top edges of the cup have a tendency to turn out in time. I don't know if it's because the outer fabric has shrunk, but it's kind of annoying.
Update 2: The top edges have curled so much that I had considered this unwearable and was about to toss it. I cut a long slit on the fabric along the top edge of the cups just to see if it made a difference and it totally restored the shape! In the photo you can see the amount the outer fabric has shrunk (I didn't cut any fabric away). Not sure if I would wear this as is under a t-shirt, but under a white sweater it looks completely fine. Read more 155 more words
velociraptor I looked up this review because I have the same bra in the same size, but in the Fuchsia Rose color, which came out in 2015. Parfait by Affinitas still hasn't fixed the cups curling outward problem! I may do the same alteration you showed here. Thanks for the picture!
Glad it was helpful. In the end I just cut out all the outer fabric because I hated the way it looked with just the cut.
Pleasantly surprised that I found a balconet that did not give me horrendous about of side boobage. My chest is wide and tall, slightly shallow at the top and rather full toward the bottom and sides. As a result, I fully expected this bra not to be able to contain my tall, wide roots. However, it seems to do a decent job of it. (I bought from amazon on sale, so I was feeling adventurous.) Overall, I really like it. The material on the outside of the bra is very smooth, and the material on the band is quite comfortable. The straps, I notice, do not adjust all the way, and while that is fine for me, that might not work for some. I normally wear 32 bands, (I like the extra space to accommodate my back and shoulder muscles) so this band at first felt rather tight for what I am used to. But overall I think its a good fit.
I knew this would be too big, but I've wanted this bra for a long time, and I couldn't resist the sale price. I figured a little too big is better than too small, because, if needed, I could always wear push-up pads. It turns out I don't need push-up pads though, because this is not as "too big" as I expected it to be (meaning these cups run super small). Parfait is a line that understands shallow boobs, and I think it's become my favorite bra brand. Sofia Vergara I'm not, but this bra is sexy and comfortable and great for romantic evenings.
The band on this bra is anomalous. I have worn many different Parfait bras in a 30 band and they all stretch to about 30 inches. This bra, for whatever reason, falls about 4 inches short. The stretched band is just a hair past 26 inches, making this more of a 26FF than a 30E. Of course, once I looked up reviews I learned the Sandrine is known for this, but unfortunately I did not see those warnings until after receiving and measuring the bra for myself. As I wear a 28-30 band, this will unfortunately have to go back.
As someone on the shallow side of "average projection", I find that unlined bras are usually not cut for my shape. This one actually seems to fit all right. I have tall roots and it does cut in a little, so it's not a perfect fit but the projection part is fine. One thing I really like about the bra is that the wires in the gore do not take up the entire channel. There is probably a centimeter of empty channel spacing at the top of the gore. I really like this because I have very narrow set boobs and gores are almost always too tall or ...wide for me. This feature allows me to have a full coverage cup with an effectively short gore. I feel like my boobs sit low on my chest so straps almost never extend long enough for me, and this is no exception. They are okay, but I would like a tiny bit more length. The shoulder parts are padded and comfortable. The elastic is also nice and wide. The band is tight. Very nice. Read more 72 more words
This bra is very comfortable, and keeps the Girls very well behaved. I found this style also in Pink! The store had it in my size and I cleaned them out completely! At $2.50 ea, how can you not resist a clearance sale like this one! I bought an even dozen. My BF loves the look when I wear this bra, and quite frankly, I do to! For the price I paid, well worth it even if they only last 6 months.
Gorgeous bra super comfortable perfect for my soft tissue full on bottom narrow breast. It fits perfect just the breast projection it gives is not for me. I like my breast to look more rounded than pointy
Parfait Lola is such a pretty lady! She's been discontinued for so long that I managed to pick one up in black and white on Amazon for $15.
This bra is amazingly comfortable, probably one of the most comfortable bras I've ever worn. The padding is thicker than my Freya padded half cups and even my Masquerade Medina, it's noticeably squishy. The shape it gives me under tops is pretty close to my favorite - the nice pointy uplifted green shape. The only thing interrupting it is the seam between the padded part and the stretch lace part. My Freya Daydreamer is a bit better at the green ...shape in that respect. Wires are a beautiful width and height for me and the gore seems a bit lower and less stabby than the other new bras I've purchased.
The band runs a full band size tight, allowing me to start on the loosest hooks. It's at least an inch shorter than the Freya bra I'm wearing today, I compared them before trying them on. So 28-band ladies should snap this style up!
The one aspect of the bra that doesn't work as well with my boobs is the stretch lace. It's not truly stretch lace, it just has some elastic at the edge. My roots are a bit too tall for the elastic to do its thing properly, so it slides down my boob ever so slightly and makes a little wrinkle near the padded part. If I pull it up to where it should sit, it doesn't stay there. If the elastic was strong enough to stay there, it would cut in. So I would say that it suits ladies with average root height better (and having a bit more separation between the breasts at the top of the root would help too).
To sum up, this bra will work beautifully on people who are even/FoB, average projection, close-set, and a little bit Nike swooshy in IMF. It's not quite swooshy enough for my IMF, but the wires are a bit padded so they aren't poking anything. Read more 238 more words
I find this bra to be very similar to the 30E Parfait By Affinitas Jeanie. It's almost the perfect molded plunge for my shallow, wide rooted boobs.
The cups fit well, without the usual quadboob on top. It may be my imagination, but the shape of the Casey is not quite as good for me as the Jeanie, though they are very similar.
Sadly, just like the Jeanie, the straps too far apart. They sit in my armpits, causing the cups to gap if I bring my shoulders too far forward.
Such a cute bra! I love it. This was one I was able to try on in a store in a 30dd and a 30e.
*I think* my usual bra size is 28e/f, but this bra style only goes down to 30. Also, the band is VERY tight. If you normally wear a 30 band, I suggest going up to a 32. So, as a 28 band, I was able to wear the 30 band in this brand. This is tighter than my sole 28e bra (a Curvy Kate bra), so I am very pleased with this one's fit because I knew beforehand how Parfait sizing works! Just be ...careful ordering online! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
You may want to get one cup size up AND a band size up. The top of this bra is tight to hold you in, which I like because I'm not full on top.
I have very close-set breasts, so the center gore comes up too high and starts to poke and separate my breast tissue, which is just not good. In the center of the bra is a double bow and cameo decoration.
The straps are skinny and cute with pinstripes and lace like that on the bra cups and band. They are half-way adjustable and not what I would call stretchy (good!).
I think everything fills out right if I ignore the stabbing the gore. There is no gapping and everything lies flat where it should (besides the very top of the gore, of course) and I get some cute cleavage if I pull the bra down far and tuck everything in well.
I probably still need to push the underwire around a bit to make it comfortable for my bony ribcage, but it was comfortable for about 5 hrs until I started laying around on the couch on my laptop. So the bra is probably too tight for slouchy 'relaxation' poses but fine if you maintain an upright posture or lay flat.
Grade: B+ Would I recommend it? Yes if you have more separated breasts. Got the bra for $23 and the panty for $10. Panty also runs tight, in case you were wondering. I could've gotten away with a S instead of XS. Read more 262 more words
I really like this bra but it is not the same fit as the Charlotte (as lots of people have claimed)at all! This bra has seamless moulded cups and no side support sling. As such it tends to be a bit east/west in appearance, I also found the cups run large, the 30FF (my standard size) was much too large as was the 30F, the 30E has almost the same exact sized cups as my 30FF Charlottes do. I quite like this bra, it is comfortable and looks nice under clothes similar to the Charlotte, if you like that bra this one might work for you too once you find the size that you need. I also like the pattern and the detail of the red bow between the cups, and I do not like animal prints in general.
I so would like this bra to work for me. It's gorgeous. The center gore kills me. I've bent the wires away from my sternum, which helped somewhat. The band feels much tighter than a 30. The straps are also too far apart and dig into my arm pits. I'd be willing to give this another go in 32 band, just because I love the style. Currently, I can wear this bra for about 20 minutes before I say enough. Another thing worth mentioning is that the cups seem rather tall-great if you have tall roots, but alas, I do not.
I exchanged the 30F version of this bra to the 30E version as the cups were too big, but unfortunately I didn't have a chance to add measurements for that one.
I'd describe this bra as a full cup with side panel. The printed fabric doesn't have any stretch although the lace does, but because it's sewn down to the powernet there's no stretch on the top section either. The cups on this one fit better than the 30F I tried on previously, but the top edge cuts in which gives a really pointy look. This bra would probably fit better on someone with ...more lower fullness and projection. Despite the shape, the bra does give great lift and support. Looks wise, I really like the red poppy print and how the print continues on the straps.
I really like the print and it was a gift so I'm going to try to make this bra work, but the shape it gives right now, I'd probably only wear it under loose fitting tops.
Alterations: I removed the seam at the top edge of the cup and also the powernet that was attached which fixed the cutting in problem. The shape is still pointy, but it is much less severe so I would be more comfortable wearing the bra out. Read more 115 more words
This bra is HUGE! I wear a 30F and this was borderline too big for me. The band is so stretchy, I could pull it out to 89cm from 65cm. I can see this being stretched out before its time. Otherwise, very comfortable. Once I adjusted the straps, nice shape, not great, but decent.
I heard this brand runs small in the cups & that is TRUE of this molded cup model (although NOT TRUE of a soft cup bra I have by the same brand).
I normally wear a 30DD, but this 30E fits me perfectly.
This is a molded cup bra with a very slight retro "cone" shape - a great shape for tear-drop shaped busts (fuller on the bottom but still perky). I would compare it to the Gossard Ooh La La bra, which is also a great fit for breasts which are not extremely round on top (hard to find such a fit in DD+ sizes).
The band runs a ...bit small, but I still wear the 30 on the smallest hook comfortably.
My only complaint it how thick the straps & how wide the band are. They are not uncomfortable, but I just think bras can start to look frumpy when the straps/band are very wide.
This particular bra does not look frumpy though. It is great quality, comfortable, flattering & very cute.
It has two sets of straps - one with a lacy frill which surprisingly hides easily under most clothes & can look cute peeking out of tanks on purpose. I havent't had the need to switch to the plain, second pair of straps. Read more 104 more words
If you want a supportive wireless bra that doesn't look like matronly or is ridiculously shallow, this is your bra. Gives a unusually round and uplifted shape for a bralette - most I've tried make my chest look like the pancake from the black lagoon.
It is pretty full coverage, but works just fine under t shirts and high-cut sweaters. Despite its coverage, it is very attractive, and I'd say the black/red colorway is genuinely sexy. It's almost winter, and I wear a lot of turtlenecks, so it's a great season for this. It's become my "I don't want to wear a bra but I must look like ...I'm wearing one" bra.
For some reason, the mia lace version has a MUCH larger band. I am a bit below a 30 band and tend to go for a 28 in bands that are stretchy. I can wear this one on the loosest, but I recently got a mia lace version, and it is genuinely a band size bigger. I only get ideal support on that one on the tightest, and they don't make that one in 28F : ( So in the future, I'll probably go with the mia dot model if I buy more. Read more 97 more words
Definitely runs a full band size small. Or maybe mine was tagged wrong lol. Either way, my 30E fit like a 28F and I wore an extender with it the whole time. Also, the straps are way too long. They couldn't tighten enough and slipped constanty. One thing I actually liked was that I could wear this as a projected wide-rooted person without a weird fit like with most molded cups.
I seriously envy you and your ability to wear literally anything.
