This bra is so comfortable. I got it for a great price and never would have bought it otherwise. It is so comfortable and kind of cute. Its basic black and comfortable with a little lace up on the strap edges, and between and on top of the cups that is between 0.5 and 0.75inches wide. The lace is not itchy. The bra has a lot of stretch, I laid it out and it measured only about 22 or 23 inches but easily stretched close to 30. I wear a 28 or 30 band so overtime this may loosen up I think. This bra is wireless which ...is comfortable for me. My breasts are different sizes with different roots it's nice and comfortable to not have to struggle and agonize over painful wires/gores. I can scoop and swoop a little cleavage into this bra if I want too. It may not be super flattering under clothing (there is a seam in the middle of the soft cups) but it's mostly a bra I would wear at home anyways. The material is soft and at this time supports okay, not enough for extreme exercise though. The band has multiple sets of hooks with 4 hooks per row! (3 rows of 4) which I prefer rather than bras that have. Front close or only 2 hooks per tow. The straps do adjust enough. The cups may be a smidgen wide but hard to notice in the soft cups. This is not a bra I would be too picky about, and I normally would have passed it on the shelf but I am really glad I got it with a few others! I wish it was a 28 band because I have a feeling this soft flexible stretchy material will lose support over time, I may get another similar bra to alternate for wearing at night or around the house. Usually bralettes are either too small and tight or the band is too loose as I size up for a big enough cup (when I buy in small, medium, large, xl) I am happy this 30F bralette fits. It's cute enough that I would wear around my partner. Happy with this find! Read more 262 more words
This bra has so many good points: it's stunning to look at, fits me really well and is incredibly comfy (I recently wore it for 20 hours which included coach journeys, SERIOUS shopping and standing up and dancing for 6 hours at a gig). However my only complaint is that it gives me points: teenytiny minimised super east west points to be exact!
Unfortunately after wearing it under bulky jumpers for a few times, I wore it for the first time under a tighter fitting top and felt rather self concious of my chest shape - could be great if you want to seriously minimise your bosom and ...don't mind the Madonna cone bra look, but it just gives me such an odd shape that this will definitely only be worn under looser fit items in the future! I was shocked on sitting down as my boobs were basically in my arm pits, yet very conical/pointy and just so strange looking I couldn't stop checking them out https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_confused.gif" alt=":-S" />.
My boyf bought this set for me for Christmas after I'd be lusting after it for ages - I have two sets of Parfait's Carole which are a dream to wear and this seemed to have a similar cut and aesthetic, making me think it would be just as good a fit and investment. Whilst it fits fairly similarly in band size / stretchiness, strap width, wire width etc which is all great for me I would say there are some fit differences which may make this bra a real deal breaker for some. This bra will not be compatible with anyone who has any upper fullness. It quad boobs slightly on my left larger breast which Carole doesn't at all. Although both bras have a stretchy lace cup with an outer trim, the trim and lace on Marianne is far less forgiving - perhaps because on Marianne there is more fine mesh used in the top half of the cups than in Carole? It also isn't suitable for anyone with any centre/inner breast fullness as this is where I get the worst of the quadding and I wouldn't describe myself as particularly full centred. It's almost shockingly shallow on the inner breast but doesn't have the stretchiness in the cup to accommodate tissue either. I've never come across a bra that fits in this way.
But for me the problem is not overly noticeable as I'm full on the bottom/even, I just wonder how anyone with more upper fullness would ever get a good fit in this bra.
I really think this bra fit me really well, but I am returning it because I don't like how the black stripes show under all of my shirts. I tend to wear tighter fitting shirts that are thin, and I could see this bra through every one of them.
This bra was perfect otherwise, so I'm going to try some other smooth Parfaits to see if I can find my match! The center gore was perfect and the perfect width, I got some great natural looking cleavage, while my breasts still projected forward, rather than separating them out to the sides too much. The band was ...really nice and snug, much more so than my Chantelle, so I think this band was a much better fit for me.
The part where the straps attached to the cup were a little scratchy, and I think you get what you pay for with this bra. Although a great shape, I think this bra is generally cheaply made. I could tell as soon as I pulled it out of the package that it was much lower quality than my Chantelle, but I can live with that, I just couldn't really live with all the extra seams on the front, and as I kinda pinched that top fabric, I found they are not in fact connected to the inner seams but more for decoration. It just isn't plausible with the things I wear, so I'm on to the search for a better t shirt bra. Read more 149 more words
It's always exciting to find a perfect fit! If the problematic stripes are decorative, could you cut them off with a seam ripper?
I think I probably could have removed it with a seam ripper, and I will keep that in mind for the future. I've just ordered two other Parfait bras that are t shirt bras to see if they have a good fit as well. If neither of them do and I can't seem to find a good t shirt bra I may come back to this one and remove the stripes and maybe recover the front.
I bought a 30F thinking that it would be stretchy enough to fit me as a 30FF/28G. I was wrong, lol. But, since it is a bralette, the perfect fit isn't as important to me so I kept it. The band is very stretchy - I wish it came in a 28 band since if I clasp it on the last set of hooks if I don't want any riding up.
tannerk I've been looking at this bralette for my daughter because she's liked some other Parfait nonwired designs... just wondering if I understood correctly, are you saying it's the CUP fabric that isn't very stretchy? (As opposed to the band which is very stretchy per your observation) Does the cup lack horizontal stretch or is it equally unstretchy both horizontally and vertically? Thanks in advance for any info you can share :)
Hi! So, I think the cups are somewhat stretchy, but I wouldn’t order a cup size down like I did lol. It seems to run pretty true to size with pretty even vertical and horizontal stretch.
It’s very soft, too! I’m sure your daughter will like it if she’s partial to the other Parfait non-wires styles.
ok thanks! Yeah I definitely would not risk sizing down, she is picky about side coverage. I am on the fence about this one, she tends to prefer the firm support of nonstretch or low-stretch cups... vertical stretch is the main problem obviously, in her size range (3oH-HH) it doesn't feel as secure as most people like!
My shape: close set, center full, full on bottom, average/narrow width roots, tall shallow roots, soft tissue.
Cute bra, with a dark floral print and black lace. I like the three-button detail on the gore, straps are on the thinner side, band fits me nice and snug (comfortable) on loosest hook. When I ordered this bra, I ordered the unlined version, but they ended up sending me the molded cup instead! Sadly the unlined in my size sold out so I can't compare, therefore, I'm still debating whether I should keep this bra or not since this is my new size (I'm still trying to find bras with good ...fits in unlined cups!).
The problem I have with this bra is that my breast tissue seems to escape a little on the upper, outer corners, I wish the wing came up a little higher to push the tissue to the center. The depth of the cup seems to be okay for me and it just slightly presses onto the top of my upper breasts, but not enough to give me quad boob or show under normal clothes. It gives a nice round shape under clothes. Overall, it seems to fit okay, I'm just waiting on some unlined bras to make the decision on whether I should keep this or not. Read more 111 more words
I was excited to find a full cup bra in soft, stretchy 100% cotton without irritating seams or edgings, since I am apparently really sensitive to this. Of all the bras I've tried since beginning this Bra-Odyssey, this one fit the best and was the most comfortable. Unfortunately, the softness and give of the fabric wasn't enough support for my 40+ year old boobs, which are so soft they pretty much take on whatever shape they are poured into and are easily mashed by clothes. As a result, I didn't get much lift or projection in this bra under clothes. Because gravity has taken it's toll, I do ...prefer a bit of a push-up effect to give me back at least a little fullness on top, but this bra did not do that. Another consequence of the stretchiness: although I marked the "stretch band length" at 26" -- the point at which the distance between the tips of the wires began to spread, flattening the cup across the top -- the band actually does stretch from 23.5" all the way to 30", which could unwittingly warp your fit if you are above 26".
Another huge problem with this bra for me was that even through a heavy weight white t-shirt, the contrast between skin color through the top lace panel and solid white cotton in the wavy shaped cup showed right through in a really distracting way.
In addition, the workmanship of this bra was poor -- wads of thread in spots and bumpy vertical seams that also showed through clothes. It would be worth buying for $10; not for $50.
For those who are short torsoed, this bra had a very minimal underband width -- just .7 inches including the wire, so the relatively deep gore didn't cause issues, even when sitting.
This and the other one I bought in the desert flower colour-way are my new favourite bras! I was a tad worried that the high gore may rub/poke but so far so good. I's really comfy, I've worn it out and about this morning and am now lounging around this arvo and no discomfort anywhere.
I feel so much like a retro pin up in this it's amazing! It makes me think of Claudette who I love - I think the shape is very similar to Claudette Fishnet Scoop Neck Bra in that it's almost like a crop top style. I love the smooth clean lines of the straps ...and the neckline - it's a very basic utilitarian shape juxtaposed with a retro lacy layer over each cup. The design is really knock-out for me. I felt bad for buying another purple bra but the imperial purple is a really stunning rich jewel-y dark purple, not cheap and bright looking like some can be.
I purchased it in a wonderful store in Chicago called G Boutique (I was there last week on holiday and did research before visiting so that I could try and snaffle some lingerie delights whilst there!) that I can't recommend highly enough. They don't have a huge selection of fuller bust items (a few Cleo , Panache , Parfait etc.) but what they do carry is very well chosen. The store is beautiful and has a large array of other lingerie/nightwear that is wholly drool-some, like Cosabella , Fleur't , Mimi Holliday , Maison Lejaby etc. I bought the purple bra and matching knickers (and a Parfait cupcake hipster knicker - soooo cute!) and had to go back on my last day to buy the other colour way of this bra also as I couldn't stop thinking about it!
The shape is gives is beautifully rounded, very naturally so as there's a gentle but not huge amount of uplift. It still gives a more projected and rounded look under clothes than a lot of unpadded bras do on me (I'm looking at you Claudette Dessous ), a very satisfying side view I think.
Wires are gloriously wide. There is absolutely no cutting in or gaping on the top of the cups - not even on my smaller breast which often struggles to completely fill out some of my F cups and usually needs the strap adjusting quite a bit shorter than my other breast to compensate.
I think this is an excellent bra for full on bottom to even boobs. Unsure about how those with upper fullness would fair.
The purple seems to fit a bit more snuggly around band than the lighter one (as I know can often be the case) but both are a good firm fit for me. I almost think I prefer the slightly tighter grip of this one compared with the looser one I wore yesterday. The band has two hooks but feels satisfyingly wide and supportive. The non lace material eg the band is very soft to the touch, I would think this would be a good bra for those who have particularly sensitive skin and can't have scratchy/harsh fabrics There is nothing I don't like about this bra!
The matching briefs are beautiful as well, I really appreciate decent co-ordinates - they have a large lacy section over the bottom of each bum cheek and although they weren't cheap I have no regrets about buying them as they so wearable and comfortable yet feel really special too.
Ugh, I've been waiting for someone to get this bra and review it. i tend to do well in Parfait and liked that this one has a stretchy lace of decent quality - I want the desert flower version, I think it will be a good match as a nude for my super pale slightly pink porcelain skin.
I'd need to order online though, and I'm not sure if I should stick to the 32G/I as with their padded/half padded styles or since they've committed to using UK sizing now and it's a bit stretchy maybe a 32FF.
I love their cupcake hipster panties - so adorable and disappear under clothing, I have all the colors and prints plus double on the nude/black/ivory, after finding an eBay seller listing them in the complete sets of 3. I saw them being added individually as a gift with certain parfait bras but discovered they actually come in 3-pair coordinated packs. So very silky soft, and I have to wash them in a lingerie mesh bag to protect them from a premature knicker death. My underwear drawer is twice the size of the combined drawer space allotted to bras and bra/knicker sets. This is even with all the clear-outs I do (and need to do another one for the knickers and also my socks...).
The Mr. has graciously conceded much of the walk in and the double dresser space as his clothing barely takes up half of the home office/spare room closet. That and we're not quite ready to buy a bigger house which would obviously have to have a great deal more storage. ;)
Hi! I agree that these cups are quite stretchy/forgiving - I tried both the 30E and F in the shop and actually asked the advice of a salesperson regarding which to get as both actually fit pretty similarly and seemingly equally well, which NEVER happens to me. Usually trying a size up/down cements which one fits better, but not with this model. I went for the F as a had the tiniest bit of quadboob on my larger breast in the E (pointed out by the saleswoman!) and in case my boobs grow at all (also I love a nice wide wire and really didn't want to get home and regret buying too narrow).
So I think it's probably quite accommodating in the cups (as you say, due to the stretch lace) meaning you could probably go either way and get a reasonable fit. I'd say if you're full on top though then go for the larger size - as you can see, I'm not very full on top at all and it fits like a glove, so if you are FOT you may need the extra space/stretch in the top on the bigger size.
Ahh decisions! :-)
I just ordered the butterfly print cupcake hipster - I bought the purple wine when in Chicago and regret not getting more! They're quite hard to find in the UK.
RE: houses - I hear ya! I can't wait til my boyf & I move from our small flat to a house, I'm already planning my dressing room where I can house/display my lingerie! :-)
I'm even on fullness, breast roots are tall and wide so I'm somewhat shallow because of how much area my breast tissue is distributed over. I just barely have wide enough across the shoulders to keep the straps where they need to be.
I wish I'd tried the Panache Envy in a 32FF to see how it fit, but I did learn from buying the 32F as far as the minute details of fitting go. i went too conservative with the cup size and everything has to be adjusted and arranged exactly the right way but even then I still have escape artist boob on the sides though during shark week it fits better. I look for bras with stretch lace in at least the top section of the cups to accommodate the tall roots and look for wires that are similar to the bras I have found to work in terms of width. Buying bras online can be a challenge when the photos make it hard to determine if the lace is stretch or not and not every store or site bothers with such details - eBay has the worst photos and some sellers copy and paste but manage to leave off the bit on the stretch factor I look for.
I will of course have to buy the matching knickers but they're so lovely and I'm doing more sets since I have enough in the basics for now. Much of my life I avoided matching and assumed it would mean one bra style and a specific bottom coordinate - my knicker and bra drawers would be virtually empty and I'd hate having only one bra style in black and nude. My mom has only one choice of bra and those two colors - at least it's the right fit and proper size but she's skipped on the matching Chantelle knickers. I can't get her to avoid the foam dome t-shirt bras. Damn things are like tribbles.
How interesting! I have the Parfait Donna Wire bra in 30FF (trying to sell it, actually) and while it looks very, very different from this one, when I read your review I was struck by how similarly it seems to fit to the Donna. Wide wires, non-itchy fabric, stretchy and accomodating, but definitely made for even to full-on-bottom breasts. Which is, of course, why Donna doesn't work on me--I need narrow wires and my breasts are more full on top. I definitely agree about the other perks, though--I also worried about the high gore on the Donna and, to my surprise, it wasn't an issue at all.
I've not seen this one yet, but am FOB so may have to give it a whirl (especially since I hate scratchy bras—who doesn't?—but love lace). It looks/sounds like a good 'everyday' comfy bra that is still glam.
That purple is gorgeous on you—can't blame you for snapping it up!
Aww thanks TheNightingale :-) I think if I'd seen this online I wouldn't have liked it that much, but in person it's so pretty and soft. I'm really championing this bra!
Why is this thing being called a "bralette?" It's not even a bra. It's a medieval torture device. I got my week's worth of cardio in trying to put this thing on and tug it into the right place. The shape is so east/west it looks like my boobs have gone through a bad breakup. It's seriously the most uncomfortable thing I've ever put on my body--the boning and the bottom hook stab and poke everywhere.
All that said, it's goddamn beautiful. And I'm keeping it. Oh, the things I do for love... of bras.
I had very high hopes for this bra, it looks so well on the model! Here is what I found, the gore is high and a bit uncomfortable, but I could possibly become accustomed to it as it is fairly narrow. The band can stretch unusually far, but feels decently firm and supportive while new. The cup volume is perhaps slightly large for me, because the seams are rumpled and don't quite lay flat, but the wire width feels nice. The top lace portion of the cup has a narrow rubber elastic strip that digs in a tad on me. It looks rather rough under a t-shirt- all lines and ripples. Overall it's pretty and fairly comfortable.
This review is for the new Floral pattern. This bra's construction is very wonderfully sturdy. In my test wear I found it to be surprisingly comfortable, the strap was just starting to rub a little after a few hours, but I think it would be very comfortable to wear all day. The band is very firm but runs a little large to counteract this--it fits me perfectly at a 31" ribcage with squish. The cups are very nicely deep, I found them to run a cup size large and sizing 1 cup down fit me perfectly. The wires aren't too hard and didn't bother me. I tried it ...on under clothing and it looked smooth, pattern showed thru a little bit. It is somewhat closed on top which is great for me--there was a slight gape on my smaller side but only when I sit down. I found this bra to add some volume to my bust which I like. It does make a slight noise of foam being rubbed together if the cup is pushed on. I found the shape very pleasant; it's quite rounded. Overall this is a great bra and will definitely be a part of my regular rotation. Read more 95 more words
Thanks for this review. I wish the new colorway were listed separately on here as it seems really different in measurements to the old ones. I think I might need a 28G or 30FF if I were to try it. When you say it looked smooth under clothes, do the seams show through?
They don't show under my loose shirt. Under a tight shirt they probably would.
**EDIT** As of around the middle of November, this bra no longer fits. It is at least one cup size too small and if I swoop and scoop and stand up properly I pop out. I still wear it because I don't have many options but I have to stuff myself right in. However, the band, wires, and straps no longer bother me at all.
After wearing both 32dds and 32ddds for a while, I was dissatisfied with the fit-bands were loose, cups were iffy at best (dd's were too small, ddd's were too big). I remeasured myself and instead of rounding up my 31 inch ribcage to ...32, I rounded down to 30. I found this bra on Ebay for the right price and ordered it. I did not have high hopes. I was not a fan of Melissa's colouring-I was afraid the white would be too matronly. However, I feel in love as soon as it arrived. The baby pink (not that taupeish colour seen in pictures) offsets the white and makes it look younger. I like the back and how the straps continue along the top edge of the back. After seeing so many plain ugly bras in my size in my price range, I am ecstatic to find something so cute and pretty that I can actually afford. The mesh on the wings is not totally opaque which makes it look less like a workhorse and more like something found on bras in traditional sizes. When I tried it on, I found the bra to be pretty comfy and a pretty great fit, especially after wearing the wrong size for so long. The gore tacks, my tissue is all contained, there's no quadboobing or gappage. I get a great shape, uplift and cleavage-this bra seriously does wonders for my boobs and it doesn't show under clothes. I can even run up stairs without worry. However, this bra is not all rainbows. I have 3 main complaints with this bra. The underwire comes pretty high up on the sides and it bothers me slightly, although I believe this is because I am petite. This is not extremely uncomfortable at all, it is something I can deal with. It just means I am aware of the bra through out the day. Second issue-the straps. These straps are soooo wide set it's ridiculous. They disappear right in my armpits and rub throughout the day. It is uncomfortable, but bearably so. 3rd, the band is kind of tight. I measure at a 30 but this only stretches to 28. This is a minor complaint as well as I hope it will soon stretch just right.
Tldr: Pros: beautiful, great shape, relatively comfy, gore tacks, narrowish wires, smooth shape under clothes Cons: wide-set straps, highish wires, tight band Read more 358 more words
Hey! I also measure about 31 underbust and when I first started my bra journey I committed myself to wearing 30s because my experience with bras in 32DDs as well, they had been so loose on me. However, these bras were Maidenform, Victoria's Secret, etc. In those brands the materials they use are a lot stretchier. In brands like Parfait with better construction the materials stretch a lot less. Like you said this one only stretches to about 28. Like you I think, because I had my mind so set on "32s are too big for me," I was wearing Parfait and Panache 30s which only stretched to 28-29 and I had wrote it off also as "bearably uncomfortable" and hoped they would stretch. Bras will not stretch 3 inches any time soon. In a good bra like this that kind of stretching will take many months of common wear. There will be some brands you will be comfortable in a 30 such as Freya, but for brands that run tighter like Parfait and Panache I really recommend you try a 32 and I think you'll find it gives you all the same support without the discomfort! I hope you don't take this to be rude, I'm just trying to save you from what I went through.
I understand, my ribcage is around 28.5/29. I usually have to compare measurements and reviews to find which way I should round, depending on the original (estimated) stretched length and amount of stretchiness over time.
wild_muses I had no idea that Panache ran tight-thanks for letting me know! As this was my first 30 band I just thought that it would be tight until I got used to it. My main bra before was a Freya 32 band which was loose-I knew that different brands had different tightnesses but it never occurred to me that that's what could be happening here but it makes sense. I should have mentioned in my review that the band looks tight but I can easily pull it away from my back a good couple inches. My next bra coming in is a Freya-I can't wait to see the difference in tightness. I think if I order another Panache I will try a 32 band and see how big the difference is and what one I prefer. distractedmyth , that's a good idea. Before I just thought that once you measured up once that was your size no matter what (can you tell I'm new to this whole properly fitted bra thing?) unless the brand's band was horribly off. Lucky me though seems to be finding the bras that either no one's reviewed yet or only one person has.
This is a gorgeous, moulded, demi-cut bra. The multi-layered bow and victorian charm are a classy touch.
The band is tight for a 30, which is nice. The 30F only has two hooks (when you go up to a FF there are 3!). The straps keep the pinstripe look going, but it is not as decorative as the thicker straps of the 30FF. The downside to the pinstriped straps means they are only halfway adjustable. While I normally have to do some serious strap adjustment, I didn't in this bra, so the partially-adjustable straps weren't a problem.
The cup is shallow in the center, like most Parfait's ...I've tried. That being said, the gore does tack despite my quadboobing. However, there is some serious shape incompatibility. My center heavy boobs get pushed up and out by this bra, causing a bit of an east-west appearance. On me, the apex of the bra is out to the sides (I swear I look like a box when I look down on it - flat from the front all the way out to the seam, then straight back to my sides). A friend tried it on though (shallower, more FOT boobs, not center heavy at all) and she looked stunning in it despite it being a size too big. No weird apex stuff at all. I get cleavage in this bra. Not deco cleavage, and not squished up cakes on a plate cleavage, but classy, gently rounded top and center cleavage (ignore the quadboob). The lace on the top of the cups will show through a thin shirt.
Despite the shape incompatibility, I love this bra. The pinstripes make me feel like a classy, sexy 1920's gangster. I seriously wish I could wear it as a top. Every time I put it on I feel like I need a fedora and a martini. If only it fit my boobs better! Read more 210 more words
This bra is gorgeous! I love the color (dark blue with black lace), and the little dangly-thing at the gore is a welcome change from the usual bow. I'm really not a fan of bows and this makes me think about bellydancing. The double skinny straps in the front are a nice touch as well.
Fit-wise, holy crap this is a firm 30 band! I've been wavering between 30 and 28 bands depending on brand, and thank goodness I got a 30 in this one. It does feel pretty comfy (though slightly tight), and I'm hoping it will relax a little with wear. The gore tacks nicely without stabbing, ...and the wires are only slightly too narrow. I plan to try bending them just a tiny bit wider, but a heavy/ vigorous scoop & swoop from the armpits in seems to work just as well.
I've never tried a halfcup before, and looking at it off I'm surprised they were big enough to fit me, but they do. The padded part was a bit squished/ wrinkly from shipping, but I think it'll be ok after a while. The lace was slightly gappy at the top corners of each cup, almost like it wasn't sewn on quite straight, but maybe it's a slight shape incompatibility instead. Whatever it is, I just tacked down a tiny dart of it right next to each strap and now it lays flat, so I'm happy with it. (Disclaimer: I'm still breastfeeding and just put him down for a nap, so therefore a little empty. Cups might fit totally different in a couple hours.)
I've had it on for about 20 minutes now and everything is still comfy, so for now my verdict is: yay for another bra that seems to fit! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Read more 192 more words
Wonderful it fit! Good luck with the bra journey during and after nursing!
Thanks learningaboutbras! :) We're slowly winding down (he's almost 2 and a half) and I'm very interested (read: concerned and wary) to see how my boobs end up...
30F/FF narrow and tall roots, projected, full on top
First of all, I found the band to be too tight for my 29 in ribcage. I needed an extender to assess fit because otherwise the cups became distorted. Fit wise, I have my usual problem of slightly too wide wires but aside from that I fill them out completely. There is a decent amount of lower project, which I don't need, so while I love the look of this bra it would probably be better suited for someone who is full on bottom or even. The top of the cup doesn't cut in a lot but the embroidery detail does cause it to be little closed on top.
This is a very comfortable bra and although I am having to fasten on the tightest set of hooks, it fits fairly well. I do think that the cups are a bit odd. There is a mesh sling type support inside the cup on the outer bottom of the cup. It feels great support-wise. But I can see that indentation by looking at the cup in the mirror. It goes in where it is supported and then spills over in the rest of the breast. I have slight, very light quad boob, but it isn't noticeable and wouldn't really bother me. ...But there is wrinkling in the band under the arm right beside but behind the cup. And the bottom of the cup has some wrinkling in the fabric but I don't understand why because as I said the breast bulges out from the support sling and has a little quad boob. I can stretch the band tighter and the underarm wrinkling remains so maybe it is normal and not a fit issue? The underwire width is very comfortable and feels spot on. Gore is the first time a bra has ever fit as it is supposed to, and I can definitely tell the difference. I didn't know what I was missing. I don't know if the cup fit is right or not but it does look just a little "off." My husband loves this bra in shirts because he describes it as a very "natural" look. Read more 153 more words
The 30F in this bra is a bit small on my larger breast (which is why it became my test dye bra) but the quadding is not bad enough to make it unwearable. I still find it extremely wearable and comfortable. I dyed this Charlotte teal blue, it got a bit wrinkly during the process but still fits exactly the same. When dyeing these do not smoosh them, I have dyed two others sans smoosh and they look just like the undyed ones but in different colors.
This was purchased to replace my Freya Deco which is too narrow and "shell-like" for me. I got this from someone so I don't know if it had stretched but I think this bra runs kind of big. The band is huge on me! I can easily wear it on the tightest or middle hooks. I do plan on altering it down however. I also find the cups are maybe slightly on the big side of F cup. It fits my larger breast just fine.
The cups are much wider and not as shallow as the Deco which is great because the Deco would cut into my breast tissue ...and "collapse" at the bottom of the cup. Compared to the Deco, I find this bra to be much more comfortable and less armor-like. During the summer I can see this bra breathing much better than the Deco.
