Fit
About me: petite with wide horizontal oval, slightly conical breasts * average projection * wide-set (3 fingers width of space between breasts) * very wide roots (extend past the mid-axillary line) * even horizontal fullness (just barely outer full) * short root height, average vertical placement * mix of firm & soft tissue (front molds to shape of bra, sides push wimpy wires away) * conical shape (but will squish to round) * full on top (2/4 shape, not even or very full) - BUT functionally even to FOB due to short roots and soft tissue * petite (5'3") so have narrow frame * front (anterior) rib flares
Band: * length: way too big * wings: height good * axillary skin spillage
Gore: Comfortable, tacks, good spacing, height fine.
Cup: * Gives breasts pleasantly round shape. * Wires too narrow. * Top of cup: gaps.
Straps: * too far apart, slip * adjust short enough
Assessment and Plan: * Also tried in 32E & 34DD. (Fabric and piping just so pretty that I really wanted this to work.) * Cups too shallow. Try different styles. Read more 188 more words
Bought this bra when I still measured 34DD. Unfortunately it was too small and by the time I got around to trying it on, it was too late to return. This bra is very shallow and the band is tight. It fit more like a 32DD. The design also just didn't compliment my shape well at all. Hopefully it can work better with someone who has less projection and narrower roots than me.
**EDIT** i know now this bra was both the wrong shape and the wrong size. updated fit into to show this.
Fiona *technically* fits, but it looks absolutely awful and i dont feel good in it at all. I get the strangest, square sort of shape with this bra, I had a hard time photographing it. It's more obvious to me when I'm looking down from the top, so I'm not sure if it is noticeable to others, but I dislike it all the same.
Aesthetically, i love the color and the lace overlay. The red satin is a little darker than my pictures, the sheen of it unfortunately ...made it seem brighter from the flash. The accordion straps are a little strange looking, but not a deal breaker. The lace shows under thin shirts, so it may be more of a "fun" bra or one to wear with layers.
The whole shape of the cups seems weird to me in general and im not sure how to actually describe it- i recommend trying this one on in person. It seems like the place where your nipple is meant to be in the cup is really far out to the sides, and then the inner edge of cup straightens out. its almost like the cup is meant for someone with a lot more tissue near the center and sternum side of their breasts, so it will push the cup into a rounder shape. The straps sit very far apart and if i dont pull them in a bit, threaten to slide completely off. Additionally, i feel like it pulls my breasts apart a fair amount.
Honestly, i am completely lost on this one, and i'm not sure who it would work for. I got a toned down version of the square shape in the Jeanie, so it might just be that i'm not compatible with Parfait cuts.
I bought this as another attempt to find a molded t-shirt bra when the Freya Deco didn't work for me. A Braswap user had suggested this as an alternative that might work better, but i found it just as unsuccessful.
The band is nice and snug, but feels a bit stretchier than the Deco, even though its shorter unstretched. Its not as thick of a material, so i can see it stretching out faster. The cups are slightly deeper, and i get gaping on both sides that probably has more to do with being bottom heavy than needing a smaller cup. If i shorten the straps it doesn't gape ...as badly, but then they're too tight. The top seam also doesn't lay very flat under clothes, not so good for a T-Shirt bra. I get the same odd square-ish shape that i had with the Fiona, though not as pronounced. I'm wondering if this is an issue I will be having with parfait models in general.
I also dont feel like this is a very high quality product- there are already loose threads all over it right out of the package. All in all, this just doesn't work for me, and im realizing my shape probably wont ever work with molded cups. Thankfully i can return it for free! Read more 109 more words
