This one fits me in all the right places. It brings my side-heavy breasts around to the front so they're not tucked under my arms. It is barely noticable as I wear it, I'm not adjusting the straps all day and it's sexy AF. I literally cried when I put this one on. Having large breasts on a smallish frame makes bra finding really, really hard - and then when they're are side-heavy, style-wise it is limited even more.

Love the red! I want something that fits me the way this fits you so freakin bad. Dream bra is comfortable but still attractive, and supportive, and keeps things contained! Though I’ve discovered “my boobs trying to escape” problem isn’t generally relatable with anyone who isn’t further along in the alphabet than me.
After wearing molded cups from Victoria's Secret for almost as long as I've been wearing bras, but when my size changed, I realized that a lightly lined T-shirt bra wasn't as all-purpose for me as it used to be. My figure felt sad and deflated, and so when I grew out of my comfort zone (and VS's size range!) I set off in search of something more structured that would give my figure the shape I wanted.
When I put this bra on for the first time, I'm pretty sure I heard angels sing. The wider band and straps, super soft material, and tailored, structured shape are exactly what ...I was looking for. I feel supported, the underwire actually sits under my breasts instead of an inch below, and I actually have a shape again!
One thing that will take some getting used to is the additional fabric in the wings. It comes right up under my arms, so I notice it quite a bit. It's not uncomfortable, just not something I'm used to - and when looking for something with more structure and support, it makes sense that there would need to be more fabric there. After adjusting the straps and wearing it for a little while, I'm reasonably confident I won't even notice it given enough time.
The aesthetics are sweet and pretty without being too frilly or cutesy. I (usually) like my bras to have some personality but not go too wild, and this particular design is unlike anything else I've seen while browsing. Unique is good, in this case! I've also noticed that the structured feel of this bra has been constantly encouraging me to maintain better posture. Hooray for unexpected benefits!
All in all, I adore this bra. When I have the funds, I fully intend to buy more of this in different colors. Read more 197 more words
Thanks for the review! I've had my eye on this one for awhile and your review might push me over the edge. :)
Brash5 So glad to know it was helpful! If you do end up getting it, I hope you love it as much as I do!
Gore lies flat against sternum -- good news. I remember the first time I had a bra that did that. I did not hear any angels, but I was surprised and happy. :)
This bra is surprisingly supportive, but it does fit differently than the same bra in black. When I measured it they actually appear to have different measurements, so that’s interesting.
This wireless bra has boning on the sides to stop it from rolling or flipping up. Like many of Parfait’s wireless bras, this one runs a size small. I currently wear a 32FF in Parfait’s underwire bras and sizing all the way up to a 34FF was perfect. The 34 band stretches to just under 32 inches, and the cup size runs small as well. In this larger size it is comfortably supportive, for a true lounge bra with less support I would probably recommend sizing up again to a 36 if your band size is normally 32. Overall this was a super comfortable bra and I intend to buy more in other colors.
This is SUCH a beautiful bra. I had it before in red in a different size prior to my breast reduction and wore it quite often. However, the band feels extremely firm - much more firm than my Parfait Lulu - and is kind of uncomfortable. As a result of the tight band, I feel like the underwires dig in under my arms a little bit. I also think the cup is too shallow for me. The ultimate killer for me, though, is the SQUEAKINESS. It squeaks every time I move, and my previous Parfait Charlotte Padded squeaked too, so I know it's not just this one!
Last thing first: With the exception of the Charlotte, Parfait by Affinitas is not very good at making comfortable bras.
---My Shape--- Boobs: mostly even slight FOB, wide-set, 10.5-11" perimeter depending on place in cycle.
---The Bra--- This bra has a couple fit issues, one requiring adjustments when you put it on. First, the straps are quite long, even long for me as a 6'0" tall woman. When I put it on at first, there was slight orange-in-glass effect going on. I have perkier boobs, so I needed to adjust the straps quite a bit. After doing so, the orange-in-glass went away, and my boobs filled the bottom.
The second ...fit issue is the overall shape. This bra takes on a stiff, tear-drop shape that is common in American brands (this is a UK brand as far as I know, so that surprised me a bit). The shape bothers me underneath clothes, and contributes to the slight orange-in-glass effect I was experiencing. Thankfully adjusting the straps seems to correct that. If my boobs were totally even-shaped, this bra would be a dud.
The band is VERY VERY SNUG. I tend to prefer a snug band to extend the life of my bras, which Parfait by Affinitas has down. However, if it were any tighter it would be unwearable. Extremely small band for a 34.
The material is slightly scratchy. I don't think it was worn much before I bought it (from another user). The 3-hook structure also makes it a little difficult to undo. I really do not prefer 3 hooks as I tend to accidentally break one of the hooks off, as I've done with several bras. I have to be really careful about that with this bra.
Overall, not one of my favorite bras. I've been spoiled by my six Freyas, I think. I've owned a few bras by Parfait, and all had some component(s) that made them super annoying to wear. My first bra (the Tamara) was so ridiculously shallow in the cups that my boobs had nowhere to go but up. I've tried on a few others off Amazon, I can't remember the names now, that I pretty much returned the next day due to crazy fit issues, mostly with orange-in-glass and shallowness (Parfait is so extreme!). It's like they either make super shallow boobs-up-to-your-chin bras, or really stiff tear-shapes that hardly anyone could fit into right.
I believe Affinitas is actually an American brand.
>velociraptor
I generally wear a 34FF or 34G in PbyA, which are too small for me in American sizing.
What I mean is that, Affintas is an American company. As far as I know, they follow UK sizing standards.
Yep, Affinitas and Parfait by Affinitas are headquartered in the U.S.; specifically in the City of Industry which is located just outside of South-East Los Angeles. From what I've ascertained through their online catalogs, Affinitas has their A-D product lines, and Parfait by Affinitas is D-G...with some sizing overlap that doesn't include all styles from both. So Affinitas will have a couple styles that go up to DD, but Parfait doesn't appear to ever have a style that is available in under a D.
I plan to wash before the first non-try on wearing of any Parfait bra that I buy; whatever they apply to starch and protect the surfaces of the material makes me especially itchy, a problem that was resolved with washing my newest bra and panty by Parfait before even thinking about wearing them.
I am going to sew some 2 3/4" black stretch lace over the original lace of the Parfait Tamara I have. That original lace is low quality and either tearing away from or developing a hole at the outer edge of both cups but using a seam ripper to properly detach it is a lot of work and removing it while raising the overall cup height for a slight bit more coverage would probably lead to problems with gore height and a proper look to the final results. A slight overlapping of the new wider lace onto the cup should produce the effect I want and solve the structural stabilization issue.
This is currently my go-to bra. I think I should have gotten a 32FF, but the 34FF is still nice and tight and supportive. I have this in the red and black colorway, which feels really sexy. It's extremely comfortable; it's not one of those bras that I want to take off as soon as I get home from work. Sometimes I'll even fall asleep while wearing it.
Like the other Parfait longlines, this bra runs at least a size or two small in the band. The stretched band length on this 34FF is 30.5 inches, so it definitely would not fit someone with a 34” underbust. I overshot when sizing up and the cups are too big on me, I would probably need a 34F or even a 34E in the Parfait Sandrine in order to get the band and cup to both fit. I usually wear a 28 or 30 band, so if you plan on giving the Sandrine a try keep in mind that the bands seem to run abnormally small.
This is one of the cutest and softest bras I have found in this size range. It is stretchy and silky smooth, and very supportive for a totally unlined bra. I really like the stretch lace! That said, the cups are just a tad low for my very soft tissue — I have to do quite a bit of arranging to prevent spillage/indentation/quadboob at the top of the cups. It’s not a major deal because the bra fits well, but if the top of the cup came up just a centimeter or so higher, I think it would be perfect for me.
One thing to be aware of is that the horizontal seam across the front of the cup can be very visible under thin/clingy clothing. It’s like a ridge across your boob. For thicker, looser or more structured clothing, this bra is perfect, though. Supportive but lightweight and breathable.
It is beautiful and fabulous quality but just doesn't fit my body well. If I had bought it at a store I would have returned it. Unfortunately, I bought it on eBay and I'm too lazy for that kind of return process. And I got it for a steal! Band is too tight, with my taken measurements confirming it's on the smaller side of 34s. Then oddly the cups are too big, making the garment not small in general. Now I can wear it for short periods of time but I cannot wear it under my t-shirt as the dirty little secret as I was hoping.

i had previously tried this exact size in the Peach model, but found it didnt fit well enough to want to keep for the price i paid. i found it later for much cheaper, so i re bought it in this dusty rose color. i dont have the peach anymore so i cant compare the two side by side, but per my past review this seems to fit similarly.
the band feels firm but not painful- im wearing it on the first set of hooks, but could probably move to the second for a firmer fit. because of the 3 hook band though, it feels sturdy as is. ... im still getting what appears to be quadboob near the very center, and the gore doesnt tack, but im not sure thats an issue of cup size. i think im just more center full, and the gore is too wide. i have a bit of empty space near the outermost edge of the cups, near the straps, but i get that pretty much always so im going to say 'meh' and leave it be. its a molded cup too, so some of it might be a consequence of the stiffness of it. i hope as it softens with wear and washing, it'll conform more to my shape.
the straps are too wide set, which is annoying but again, happens constantly. i think they contributed to the gaping i get, because it becomes worse as i move around and the cups get shoved by the straps catching in my armpits. the material of the straps is nice though, thick and stretchy and pretty comfortable.
one thing ive noticed with wearing this is that i get some irritation from the band, right below the cups. it wants to curl under, and it pinches and chafes a bit and leaves a really severe red mark that hurts. its noticeable after abut 10 minutes of wear, but really bad if i wear it for longer. im not sure the cause- the band definitely doesnt feel too tight, if anything its a bit loose! im not sure if its a projection issue? i dont have heavy breasts, but i do have stomach fat higher up, so maybe its just that getting squished.
*UPDATE: 4/18/17* after the inital try on and wearing it in the house for an hour or so, i havent worn this since. its just too pinchy in the band, and i think its because ive got too much upper stomach fat for it. im also driven nuts by the straps. selling this one and moving on! The fabrics of this bra were so soft! I as also impressed with how well the stretch lace matched the print satin fabric. So pretty! I really wanted to keep it but it just didn't fit right. The shape was a little pointy and the cups were wrinkling in the lower inner quadrants. It also flattened me out in the center. I regretfully took it back to Kohls.
This bra I was excited for as it's typically hard to find a nice bra close to my skin tone. Turns out this fit is all wrong for me. I tend to be pretty even (neither FOB nor FOT) with some projection and soft tissue so my girls can adapt to a myriad situations. This bra gives me a bit of quad boob but there is also space in the bottom on the cup so I don't think it's a sizing issue -- I may try this in a 34G to see, though. I usually don't have to size up for Parfait bras, but this is my first padded bra from them so maybe that makes a big difference.
The straps are a bit wide and the band is a bit tight, it's a beautiful milk chocolate brown color so very disappointed this doesn't fit.
very close to fitting, but not enough that i want to keep it at the price i paid. if i can find one super cheap, i might snag it, but this one is going back to amazon. ive only worn it to try on so far, so i cant speak to much of the fit.
the band is firm but not painful, and i expect it will loosen with wear. i love the 3 hooks! the cups are a great width, and the wings are high which is awesome for me and my tall roots. on the right side my armpits to get dug at a bit, but that ...might be the strap placement. the gore is too wide, so it gets shoved side to side a bit and that is one of the main issues. the other is that i get some gaping at the top edges of the cups not nearly as bad as most molded cup bras, and mainly on my less projected right side, but enough that i dont think id like wearing it because gaping irritates me. i think if the gore were narrower, it would probably gape less, because the cup would come closer to the inside edge of my breast tissue. i get the tiiinist bit of quadding on the inner edge of my left side near the gore, but i think im center full so im coming to terms with that possibly always being an issue.
the color is a lovely pale peach, and i like the styling of this bra. its possibly the only non half cup bra ive tried that doesn't have a ton of issues within the cup! im going to try my hand at a used one, and maybe see if i can narrow the gore, but im not terribly confident in my ability to alter things. This is my third Odette padded bra. I started out with the 38E and have lost weight and just had to sister size down (twice now!) to accommodate my shrinking torso (my breast volume stayed the same). The band is firm, but not tight, tacks wonderfully (no pain whatsoever). The wire is firm- which I like, and the cups are deeper in the middle than expected. I find it to have narrower wires and deeper cups than most Parfait styles. I'm pretty average fullness with average to wide/tall roots and the wire is only about 3/8" away from the edge of my IMF on the sides, but sits right in IMF at the bottom. I think Odette is gorgeous and gives that "Jessica Rabbit" shape wonderfully. I've been in the 34FF now since November and it's holding up remarkably well.
This one has been worn/washed once and is too small for me. I want it to have a new loving home for someone it might fit. I don't have a great idea of what shapes it's good for- the cups are a little shallow. Despite the lace overlay, this is a molded bra.
I'm taking messages from interested takers until 6 June.
I can't really talk about how it fits, because I didn't learn about fullness, shape, or anything like that until I lost weight and could no longer wear this bra. I'm now a 32GG, and this band stretches out to a 36. It fits like a 36F.
It's a great basic, nude, t-shirt bra. I'd like to try it in a size that fits, because I can't say for sure anything about how it fits because I lost weight before I could wear it much.
Overall its a great lil bra. Gorgeous fabrics and very cute details. The fit summed up: The center gore doesnt come anywhere near tacking. This underwire is slightly needing to be wider. It doesnt dig but I do need it to be longer/wider to completely lay flat and enclose my whole boob. The depth isnt too bad but again to comfortably wear underneath a shirt without quad boob I need to get a 34GG for sure. Holds the girls up and out well and looks great naked but I cant do it under clothes as the quad boob looks crazy. Overall I have no doubt I would wear the crap outta this bra if I go up two sizes in the cup, as I figured I would need too but I gave it a chance.
