The band is nice and snug on this, and I feel secure and supported. Overall this bra is not as luxurious as e.g. Chantelle and feels comparatively scratchy, but it also doesn't feel cheap. It's pretty, and looks nice, gives a nice shape and the lace is a little stretchy, not lots. Because of that, I'm worried that if I were to size down it would be too small. Right now the wires are too wide and high - I've got poking in the sternum and under the arms (unusual for me) and some empty cup on the sides. After trying on the bra the marks are clearly out of my IMF - too wide and too low. However, the shape is cute and the lace is nice enough. Doesn't snag like the Chantelle Festivite.
I will preface this by saying that this is NOT what you are going to expect a "convertible" bra to be. Both sides of the straps are not removable--it is only the back part. HOWEVER, there are multiple incisions along the band, so you can place the back ends of the straps in multiple places. Unlike many other convertibles, these have a very secure fit.
This is a plunge bra, which I am not used to. There is some gapping in the center, so I think I am going to return this bra, as I believe it will ...show under some tight shirts. Similar to the gapping in my 30DD - Fit Fully Yours » Smooth Strapless (B1003).
The padding in the cups is a nice amount; no push up padding, etc.
Other features: The bra actually has 4 rows of hooks, which is interesting. The band is somewhat stretchy, but upon trying on seems to fit my 28" ribcage on the loosest hooks (I prefer 28s, but I get what I can).
It is currently on sale on the Nordstrom website, where I bought it. If anyone wants to know anything about this bra before I return it tomorrow morning, please comment asap! Size range from Nordstrom seems to be 30 C-FF, 32C-FF, 34D-FF, 36C-FF; depending on the colorway (there are different listings for different colorways, for some reason, and different colorways have different sizes in stock). Also a 42DD and 44E. Read more 149 more words
This is such a beautiful, lacey little number! Unfortunately these cups run extremely shallow. I can not even wear this around the house if I wanted too. Tall cups. This seems it would do well with tall and shallow roots.
I wish this bra's wires were shorter. The long wire is causing my sternum and armpit to push down the bra so that the bottom of the wire eventually moves down from my IMF. Otherwise it is nearly perfect. I usually don't have much luck with non-stretch lace, but this worked out well, quite possibly due to the open top.
This bra is ok. It's definitely not the most supportive or sexy bra I own. The shape is kind of 'bland' - not horrible but doesn't do much. Not a lot of lift or projection, but not uncomfortable or ugly either. The band is mostly lace. Doesn't always want to stay in place anymore, but the bra is also helplessly old. Now that I've lost a little weight maybe it's a little big. Not exactly gaping at the top but I don't think I'm filling the whole cup, although it's hard to say where the issue is (probably upper outer corners, mostly), but a size down would probably be too small.
