WARNING: Lots of nipple in this review. This is a quarter cup bra and I didn't have pasties/bandaids on hand-if this is against the rules, let me know and I will adjust accordingly.

I've been so bad about reviews this year. I've been going through a lot, and while I've been ordering bras I haven't had the time/energy to dedicate to writing good reviews. Hopefully, this has all changed!

This is a quarter cup bra from Playful Promises. It's my first quarter cup bra ever, and my first order from Playful Promises. They had a sale on and when I noticed this bra and matching ouvert brief, it ... was love at first site. I ordered off the UK site (the US and UK sites had different stock and this model wasn't available through the US site). It took 7 days to get here.

    Pros:
Beautiful colour, matching brief has the cutest little lace skirt, construction seems solid, materials are nice and soft, straps are soft and match the cup fabric, nice firm/tts band, narrow and firm wires

    Cons:
Longest straps EVER-not fully adjustable and stretchy, shallow cups, sizing on brief is interesting

No apology necessary for the blogging hiatus, gratiat ! Thanks for the new review. I always wondered about those quarter cup bras.

I hope it's not banned... would be a little silly for a bra website... FREEEE THE NIPPLE! lol.

I am curious about the construction of the cups here--is it my imagination or does the inner half/quadrant look like it makes almost a flat shape from the gore to the apex? I feel like that's what is orienting the apex outward.

    • @Wendybien-It's a 2 part half cup. If we divided the cup in 3rds, I'd say the inner part is 1/3 and the outer part 2/3. So from my understanding that should bring the apex in instead of pushing it out to the sides like here. I think how shallow it is overall, especially on the inner part, is what is leading to the 'hourglass' from the front look.

@learning about bras While I'm in love with this bra, I'm not sure if I'd buy another quarter cup. They aren't the most practical bras to buy but with a tighter shirt I think I can get away with wearing this in public.

Thanks for your review and photos! With my very short-waisted physique, 1/4 cups may be nearly full coverage in the cup width/depth I require. :-)

    • After shortening the straps it looks so much better! You did a fantastic job and I've always loved shelf bras. I wonder if they sell small sizes... I may be on the opposite size spectrum as Love4Pollinators but I generally have the same problem, most low coverage cups end up being almost full coverage on me. Not sure why, but there it is. You've definitely made me want to go check out this brand!
Oh, and yes. I'm pretty sure just flat out nipples showing is not allowed. I generally put a little "sticker" on mine in photo edit app.

    • I own several quarter cup bras some from PP but not this one. Some project the breasts forward (The best one I found id s cacique for that. My PP ones generally support well, with the nipples just peeping over the top.as the day wears on they are more than peeping!! I'm a 22H.

    Hasn't set fit

This fit me well when I was a 28FF. I had soft tissue so it bubbled over top a little bit but that's expected in a quarter cup.
