Really pretty bra. Lace is not scratchy. 3 hooks keep it in place. Gives moderate cleavage. Can be worn under t's. Comes in larger band sizes, which I need as a guy.

Thanks, L4P. Kind of makes my day whenever I find a pretty one that fits.

Really great basic bra. Bought it on the recommendation of a lady friend. Glad I did.

Old-fashioned bras like this are an untapped GOLD MINE for full bust customers. Don't let the vintage-style sizing fool you into believing you are sized out. This 34 band is rock solid and does not ride up no matter what I do; indeed; it is slightly tight on my 29" underbust even after 4 days of wear, and to be completely comfortable a tiny length of extender is helpful. The DD cup is a great fit albeit on the roomy side for me (FF/G in most brands, basically I require at least 11" of depth in an underwire cup).
Comfort and support are stellar. ... The band is nice and wide, in fact with 4 hooks some trendier brands would try to pass this off as a longline! There is no side boning anywhere, which is great if you are a bit fluffier.
Uplift is every bit as good as what I can get in a wired bra. It is slightly pointy brand new, although not bullet-bra-ish.
Granted this is a cheaper bra and it does not feel or look luxurious. However, if you like that neat, discreet and slightly retro shape under clothes; if you are sick and tired of searching for affordable wired bras that fit your breast shape; if you are post-surgery, or a mature person with drier, delicate skin that does not tolerate wires, or if you have a health condition that makes comfort a major priority--you should definitely give this a whirl.
Compared to regular UK full bust sizing, I would recommend going UP 1-2 sizes in band, and DOWN anywhere between 2 and 4 cups.

(I don't know any fancy words, so bear with me here.) This bra is okay if you've got no cash and just need to have your boobs off of your ribcage. The cups are just fabric, so your boobs become shapeless blobs and hard nipples will show right through. It's wireless, so the band takes all the weight of your breasts and tends to roll. The bottom seam of the band gets uncomfortable after several hours of wear, partly because it's very stretchy and partly because the cloth tape sewn over the seam has distinct edges. I've worn this bra to work several times and survived, but I bought it out of desperation and wouldn't recommend it.

Good padded straps, not too tight. Some gaping at the top of the cups when I sit but I think that's got more to do with my breast shape. Overall Probably too small technically, but does fit my boobs in and no quadding, so it's ok under some t-shirts.

This has been my go to bra but my size must be changing again. This style and size of bra fit great for years, but now it doesn't.

I'm not entirely sure if I measured the cups depth right. If I go from the decorative lace seam to the other side of the lace seam of the cup, across the apex line, it only measures 6", but if I measure actual space for your boobs, it measures 8", so I imputed a cup depth of 7".
The straps are stretchy, I wasn't expecting that.
The band is snug.
The top of the front neckline, feels a little tight on my muscular and slightly full on top breasts.
My left cup wrinkles because it's my smaller breast, so it shows a little through shirts.
This fits just like my vintage bullet bra, but is a cup smaller, which is nicer fit for my smaller days.
The appearance is a super conical/pointy shape.

Wow! This wireless lifts FANTASTICALLY. The band and straps are supportive and soft. For a comparison, look at this wired bra: http://www.bratabase.com/bra/difm9/ Wired bras require very specific fit characteristics to lift, but this wireless Playtex fits surprisingly well. There is some puckering at the end of the cup. I hypothesize a washing will remedy that issue. Out of the box, the fabric is a bit scratchy. Again, washing will likely remedy that.
The straps are fully adjustable, plush, and short enough to accommodate the most petite or high set customer. If you are tall or low set, these straps will likely be too short.
The ... cup doesn't allow as much center projection as my breasts require. So, tissue is pushed from the center to the outer quadrant and into a seam. If you have less center projection, this bra may be perfect. My body is sensitive to seams and pressure. A 32DD might be perfect, but I have not yet found this model in that size.
The cup is tall, but the lift is so good even my shorties were quadding a bit along the cup edge. I totally understand the popularity of this bra!
Immediate projection is excellent. Lift is amazing. And, the profile under clothing is perky without padding. Lovely.
My daughter thinks this looks like "a wedding bra." She approves of the floral lace. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" /> This bra requires a significant amount of fabric, and it won't hide under my summer attire. But, when I need lift and comfort, I choose this bra.
My breasts defy gravity in this marvel of physics. Thank you, wendybien for your review. These bras ARE worth their weight in gold. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" /> https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" />

Ha! I get a kick every time someone tries one of these. Granny knew best about bras after all!
Yes the puckering goes away after a few washes. After wearing for a while you will also notice the breast tissue settles into the cup better as well so any center quadding or weirdness that was previously occurring, will usually resolve as the bra softens up.
wendybien How long should I expect this model to last when worn for a few hours every week and hand washed? The support is fabulous, but the construction is not like more expensive bras I've tried. Thanks for your help.
Well now, I will have to go back and give them a try, I always thought of playtex as the "utility wear" of bras.
Love4Pollinators wearing just once a week?! Gosh, depending on your tolerance for cosmetic changes (sweat discoloration unfortunately happens fast with white bras) I'd say at least a year. The materials aren't fine or beautiful but they're pretty hard-wearing. Mine are still going strong after 2 years. I machine wash them too.
Thank you, wendybien. That is fantastic news. I paid only $14 for this work horse, and I like fahric dyes. ;-)
This bra surprisingly looks almost identical to Le Mystere Lace Tisha #965, but at less than 1/3 of the price. It is satiny and smooth. Looks really good under t's, and gives a nice silhouette.

It is easy to put on, not too tight around the ribcage. Cups are a tad too big however; I may have to look into sizing down to a D or C cup. Quality and comfort are great and I love the shiny pink color with the flower design.

The cup material is non-stretch. The straps are elastic. The cup lace is itchy. The shape is very projected and bullet shaped. The way it is designed the lace stretches on the bias and thusly is "self-adjusting". I usually wear 32DD and this fits a little tight in the cup and the band it slightly large, but overall for a vintage type bra this fits my uneven close together breast well... if I can soften the itchy lace that is.

I am a 36DDD/36E (US/UK) with an underbust measurement of 36". The band was technically the correct length, but it was so stiff that I needed an extender to hook it behind my back. (I could hook it in the front upside down with some difficulty.) The cups are full coverage and look enormous, but they were the right size for my breasts. However, the bra had no strength without an underwire, so the gore flopped down making the cups saggy. If I pressed the gore to my sternum, the bra felt great. I returned it.

Very soft, and I really appreciated the lifted, pointy shape, but ultimate I knew this was a bad fit. I just wanted the cheapest bra I could find, to try out some nursing bra alterations.

Looks fine, feels okay. My major problems are twofold. First, there's fit: I overestimated my cup size—ordered a C, I now think I'm closer to a B at the moment—I don't mind stuffing my bra with socks, but still annoying. Then, and this is more a personal issue on my part, there's the fastener: I'm a bit too broad and uncoordinated to properly close the thing. Well, you live and you learn.

The Playtex 18 Hour Original Comfort Strap Bra (4693) provides superior support, lift, and coverage, considering it isn't a heavy-duty underwire bra. It is EXCELLENT for large busts as well, and is very supportive. The wide sides hug the body, the band is slightly 'long-line' in the sense that it is longer under the bust than the bands of most regular, wireless bras. It is very true to size, with full cups providing maximum coverage and good amount of volume, and a band that is snug. The straps have good padding for people with heavy busts, to avoid shoulder pain and digging in. It feels soft and cushiony. The cups have nice, shiny, floral patterns. For 34DD, there are four hooks, providing maximum support. A very good bra to have, and the band does not ride up at all, straps don't fall, no issues at all.

After thoroughly exploring the world of modern bras, I've decided to revisit some classic fits. I've been on a period drama kick lately and all the pointy cups under form-fitting '50s sweaters have made me wonder if I too can pull off this look. The Playtex Cross Your Heart series is one I remember from being a teenager though I never tried it. It has an element of nostalgia to it, and I snagged one off Amazon to try at an extremely cheap price.
I knew this would be an inexpensive soft bra made of poly/nylon that fits differently from wired modern bras, but what I ... didn't expect was to get this hideous thing that feels like wearing pillow protectors over your chest pillows. Seriously, it's difficult to imagine what a padded polyester bra with fiberfill cups would feel like until you have put one on your body. Even though it's winter, this didn't feel right on me, and I couldn't imagine wearing this during normal ambient temperatures.
As far as fit goes, I was debating between ordering 32B and 32C, but couldn't find much info on sizing. I went with a hunch that vintage fits run large in the cup, and sure enough they did, but having determined through thorough testing that I can in no way, shape, or form ever wear a 32B, I went with the 32C which is at least closer to a sister size. By modern standards, this cup is pretty big, but I found that the cup width, depth, and height worked on my larger side.
The problem was the shape, as I don't have the kind of conical tissue this bra requires to fill out the very pointy, very full center of the cup. It more or less gave the appearance of the orange-in-a-glass effect. I think this bra is designed for women with either a conical shape or soft tissue that can be molded into the cup shape. Firmer and shallower breasts are not going to be able to fill the center of the cup, leaving a sad, deflated center instead of pointy mounds. This bra is not going to help me achieve the '50s sweater fantasy.
Band size seems to run pretty true to a 32, and thankfully the elastic of both the bands and straps is wide and powerful. There's a heavy-duty 3 hook fastener at the back, and the band was decently supportive despite being two size too big for me. I appreciate the fully adjustable straps though personally detest sliders on the front.
I actually like the vintage cross-front construction and lace trimmed cups, however the polyester cups and plain exposed elastic makes the bra look incredibly cheap. It looks like a bad prototype made from available materials, not like an actual consumer product. The photos made this bra look plain, but in person it just dumbfounds me. Perhaps the vintage Cross Your Heart bras are worth a try, and I'm not totally giving up, but this is my first and last bra-in-a-box.

I wore this bra when I was still using the wrong size. It's a Playtex bra and is definitely a good quality. They start off tight but then stretch to fit your true size so don't be fooled and buy a larger size when you first get it; it will stretch. The only thing I don't like about the bra is that it has a bit of a strange shape to it. It sort of makes your boobs point outward a bit (and it's not a minimizer or anything).

I'm trying to get rid of this bra because I was never fitted correctly. However, for being the wrong size, it was incredible comfortable when I first got it and continued to wear it. Playtex bras always start pretty tight and that's normal because the stretch to your comfortable size after. The bra I'm selling is a little worn but in good condition and is likely stretched a bit in the band (it may fit a 40).

The gore doesn't tack, and the straps do not adjust short enough for me so they're in danger of slipping off my shoulders. I have since altered this band down a couple inches as I prefer tighter-fitting bands, but I have an unaltered Over the Taupe Jacquard color of the same model and size so all measurements and fit notes were taken from there.

UPDATE:
I have also altered the shape of the wires to better fit me.
- reshaped underwire curve
- limited band stretch
