First off, I have very shallow boobs with a very wide base. My breasts are slightly conical/tubular in shape. For these reasons, finding a strapless bra has been a nightmare, and unfortunately, I have to add this one to my ever-growing list of strapless bras that don't work for me.
This must be the world's only strapless bra where you should go *down* a band size. Seriously. I have a 29" ribcage (at time of review), and I could pull the bra out a good 3-4" on the tightest hook. I would seriously consider going to a 26 band (if they made it). ...The band is so stretchy, it stretched out to 33" from 24".
The cups are very deep, way too deep for me. I couldn't begin to actually fill out the cups, but it cut in so badly at the top. Or rather, since the cups are very flimsy, my breast tissue and armpit fat just folded the top of the cup down.
It is an incredibly comfortable bra, though. The fabric/materials are smooth and soft. It doesn't itch or rub anywhere. It's also a pretty bra. Like the 30D - Lepel » Bouquet Strapless (19617) , it's a very bridal bra. There's fake corset lacing up the gore and up the wings. The lace is pretty but not distracting or overwhelming. There are 3 hooks per column, which is nice, especially for a strapless.
One little feature of this bra that I've never seen before has to do with where the straps attach in the front. There's a small tab that can be tucked inside the cup when going strapless, but is untucked when using the straps. This strap extension really helps preserve the structure of the bra when wearing straps (as I've found that most multi-way bras just don't work that well with straps). The downside is that the tabs don't stay tucked in very well, as you can tell on the right cup of my front-facing shot.
Overall, this is yet another bra that I wish worked for me. It's very comfortable and attractive. It's just completely the wrong shape for me. Read more 266 more words
Straps are great! They don't slip, and they don't feel like they're situated too close together or too far apart. In fact I don't even feel them when I'm wearing this bra.
The underwire cups my breasts comfortably and do not poke under my arms. Gore is a tad high, and there was major poking into the sternum the first time I wore this bra, but 3 wears later, it is improving (not as poky). Centre fabric panel lies flush against my chest.
The balconette style cups are lightly padded. There was some gaping at the top until I swooped and scooped - then it fit ...my larger breast beautifully. Wearing this bra with straps helps keep the cup from gaping on the smaller breast.
Back band very snug, but is very supportive. Band does not ride up. 34 definitely feels too loose now.
[Update after 1month, March 2013: Band has stretched; can feel how it is looser than the band on a 28DD, which turns out to be my proper size (was recently fitted at Bravissimo). Gore no longer pokes. All in all, not a bad fit at all - funny how I've been mostly on the right track in terms of sister sizing: 34A - 34B - 32C - 30D - 28DD.] Read more 112 more words
I haven’t measured this yet (bad me I know), so any opinion on size is based of look and feel so could be wrong..... First thoughts seeing bra was that it’s too big in the cups for sure. tried on and holy $#it it fits! I have boobs!, This bra is my ego boost bra now, it doesn’t make me look bigger breasted or give nice Busty cleavage but so I dunno why but I feel good in it...... Onto important stuff, cups/wires seem wide, and straps too. Cups curve out slowly from wire, so no depth on outer/bottom sides really, inside edge has the most space from Wire, and ...I’d say it’s about average based on bras I have. The top fits well other than small gap in both cups in center, goes away if I put straps further out on edge of my shoulders, wearable solution could move strap placement on bra. Shape seems like it still wouldn’t dig even if fuller on top. The band is tight, to tight really, but sizing up changes proportions in some bras so not gonna re-order, I just plan on buying more extenders! (Especially since I’m contemplating several 28DDs for their cup/gore measurements) Read more 92 more words
The fabric has good quality and the design is beautiful. For the first time, I felt like my wide root shallow breasts were totally included in the cups. It was just a couple of weeks ago that I started to wonder why my 32A bras were so tight and were hurting. At first I thought it was because I started weighlifting and my breast muscles were growing but when I did an Internet investigation I was totally surprised that 32A was not even close to my real bra size!!! It never was!!! You know the story: too big band, soooo small cup, as many other girls have discovered. ...So, this bra fitted my breasts in the cups, but..... The straps are always falling from my shoulders and the brand is obviously still big for me (even when bra size calculators told me I was a 30D). I have to adjust them so tighly that the strap buckles usually end in my front body!!! (not good...). And I can separate the band from my body more than two fingers... Finally, I also don't like how my breasts look, I mean they are not lifted in the slightest with this bra. I've seen other girls wearing it and they look much better in it than me. I feel like my breasts fill the cups but that's it, no beautiful effect and non-existent clevage with it. So... definitely better for my breasts thant my old 32A bras but still no good fit https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> I guess being my first try to find the perfect bra, it's a good start... Like most bras with molded cups this bra is very stuctured in that it creates shape. However, if you have very little breast tissue on top like me, you may find this to be an issue. There was a fair bit of gaping at the top and in the part of the cups closest to the centre gore, especially when I sat down. Other than that, and the fact that the straps seemed a little too far apart (I have boney but not particularly narrow or wide shoulders) it was quite comfortable.
It did not dig in at the back and it fit my underbust in a comfortably snug ...way.
I would keep it in fact, if it wasn't for the feeling of digging in that I mainly experienced on my right side around the point where my rib cage curves around to the back. This happened after wearing it around the house for about 2 hours. I think this might mean the cups are too wide for me. This may also be less of a problem for someone with my measurements but a less boney underbust area. However, the centre gore was not a problem at all in terms of digging in.
I believe slightly more breast tissue on top, a more cushioney rib cage area as well as wider roots would make this an excellent fit. Read more 117 more words
This bra just feels tight all around. It might be because I'm really between a 30D and a 30DD - leaning towards a 30DD. It's a very structured bra, so getting the right size is important. It is nice that there's a little padding because it's so hard to find bras with a little lift in my size.
This bra seems to fit ok, but with wear longer than 1 hour it causes pain on my ribs and generally hurts. The lace is also very prominent so must be worn under thick fabric, shows through a tank(cami) with built in shelf bra.
The gel padding is located on the outer sides and bottom of the bra. I am a bit full on the sides, so it is a little uncomfortable to have padding there, but it does create some cleavage.
The thing I like most about this bra is how good it looks. The stitching is absolutely gorgeous, but would show through a thin stretchy T-shirt.
Would make a lovely fit if it would be actually my size. it is too small in the cup and too big in the band. 28E would fit me perfect though, as far as i can see what it does now, perfect cleavage
The cup is padded and has a significant push-up pad inside the cup. This pad is intregrated into the padding and part of the cup, it is non-removeable. It is positioned at the bottom near the outerside of the cup. The deepest part of the cup is relatively close to the centergore.
Since it is a plunge, there is a rim that closes in, but it is not too closed and it might work for some more rounded shapes.
