All my Prima Donna bras demonstrate the truth of the saying, "You get what you pay for." Higher product prices don't always lead to higher quality, of course, but in the case of Prima Donna, you're getting outstanding comfort in addition to whatever colors and patterns you can identify easily online.
My 65F Prima Donna Satin Plunge Bra looks like nothing. It has one seam in each cup, far out to the side and close to the underarm; no padding; and thin, limp material. How can this possibly lift or shape boobs, especially firm ones like mine? Yet it does. I get a pleasing, rounded profile. My slightly bigger ... left boob gets a semi-spherical shape, similar to the look in my 30FF Cleo Marcie. My right boob gets almost as semi-spherical, with a little less upper fullness. In a bra, my boobs act somewhat full on top.
That one seam in each cup connects a narrow vertical piece, made of the same material as the rest of the cup, to the main cup piece. The vertical piece resembles a side sling in a Fantasie balcony bra. The Satin Plunge, however, simply sews the two pieces together. The little side piece meets the strap and is thus less than an inch wide there. It curves wider as it joins the bra band.
I was surprised to measure the band as 28" stretched. An Ewa Michalak band that stretches to only 28" feels punishing. I think the quality materials in the Prima Donna Satin Plunge keep this very firm band from hurting me. I believe higher quality elastic materials can be firm, stretch to accommodate your movements, and bounce back because of superior resiliency.
The super low, 1.25" center gore is perfect for a petite person with no space between her breasts.
More than half the Ewa Michalak bras I received over the last year have had appallingly sharp edged bands, particularly in the hook and eye areas. I've had cuts and scabs. This is never going to be a problem with a Prima Donna bra.
I wish the Prima Donna Madison Plunge had a gore as low as their Satin Plunge. I also wish Prima Donna's cups were lower coverage. The Satin Plunge is lower coverage than usual for them because the gore is so low. If I wore scoop necklines, this bra might show.
