Fairly thin, sleek, soft & sturdy textiles paired with industrial-strength stretch satin straps. Band is lightweight but resilient knit, finer weight than average hook & eye closure.
Cups are a fine medium weight knit outer, lined in slightly stretchy duoplex with a stretchy wide upper lace band. The side control is less based in flattening the outer breast and more of a 'Come ...now there's plenty of room for us all to get along, here now let's make you right at home- don't you prefer this forgiving centerfulness?' Gore appears taller than it truly is as the wires are closer-set and run parallel, band has a somewhat curved polish shaping.
All of this is quite agreeable to my sideheavy, FOB and generally PITA shape that runs twice as deep as it is high. I opted to go for straight sizing rather than down due to immobile tissue that dislikes being pushed about or squashed. Others may need to study their IMF and depth needs at length before deciding. I'd suggest just getting one's closest fit, and having any spare strap/height/band taken in by a tailor as this one is a 'seamless' wear that just embraces the curves.
Pity this isn't made in sub 30 sizes, as I want at least 5 more now, and will be looking into the plunge and long-line styles. Read more 165 more words
This bra has a firmer band than the Satin, stretching only (properly) to around 32" instead of all the way to 35", so with my new band size I need a 30, but definitely not a 28.
I've sort of gone off molded cup strapless bras after my disastrous experience with the Fantasie Smoothing Moulded Strapless Bra (4530) , which I got bullied into buying in 32FF before getting home ...and finding that it was comically too big under dresses. (Like, the 32F was too small, quadding visibly, but this is a shape problem -- it's too darn shallow for me, and the FF responded to a tight dress by VISIBLY DENTING.) ...Basically, if I'm going to be potentially wearing something tight, I would rather have a soft cup bra.
I also had to keep tugging this bra up, even when I was just trying it on to take pictures https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> The strapless nightmare. Read more 89 more words
Best bra ever! I’ve had these in several colours, and worn them almost daily for years - beautiful, amazing quality, most comfortable bra I’ve ever tried and gives the perfect natural-but-better shape. I used to wear these in 32G, but have lost some weight and can’t afford to buy new ones in the right size - I still miss it every single time I put on a bra...
Super comfortable, very high quality bra. This model is discontinued but Prima Donna uses basically the same constructions over and over again with their full cup bras, so this should be fairly representative of their current offerings.
The bra's best features: very nice materials, virtually no stretch in the straps, super deluxe firm and wide elastics that do not stretch out (bra band measures almost the same after a day's wear), excellent uplift, very comfortable, cup is deep enough without being miles too wide (I have about 3/4 inch empty space between boob crease and underwire, as opposed to 1.5in or more in most other bras), band is ...firm but does not dig in.
Small quibbles: I could use a gore that's a hair narrower (or could alter it, but since the tiny indent occurring on my larger breast is undetectable under clothes, I really cannot be bothered). I also have a personal preference for a vertical seam going up the middle of the lower panel on the cup, because it adds a little roundness. I have no problem with the pointy vintage look though! This is a super pretty bra. It fits comfortably, though it doesn't quite sit right on my sternum. Also, by the end of the day, there's a little boob spillage over the top. Strangely, though, it is still comfortable, unlike other bras where this happens.
Too big in the cups for me now, but at one point it was a pretty good fit there, if I ignored the wrinkling at the bottom of them (as I always did). https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
Band felt a little tight when I bought it; it's very stretched out now, to the point where I had to edit down the measurements a little. (The resting band is definitely ~26.5" now and it stretches to 34" without distorting the cups.)
This bra *looks* worse on me than the 70G - Prima Donna » Perle Strapless Bra (0162349) , but I think in the correct cup size I would like it better than the Perle, so this is what I'm reordering.
The band is quite a bit stretchier than the Perle, and if I could I would probably benefit from going all the way down to 28, but we will see how the 32F-on-the-tightest-hook feels before asking if they can alter it down that far https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> (probably not sigh)
The cups have a little bit of something on the inside of the upper ...lip to help keep them in place and between that and the same material lining the top of the band it stays in place much better than the Perle. I think it will look great under slinky dresses https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
This bra is very comfortable, but the straps are slightly too far apart for my narrow shoulders. In the pictures, I haven't pushed them towards my neck as I'd otherwise do, so they sit as they "should" do.
Even though the bra is unpadded, it gives my breasts a very nice, round shape and it's very soft and feels nice to wear. I can't quite fill out the very top of the bra (the cup goes far up the straps) but it's not very noticeable as it's just the lace part, and the gap doesn't show through clothes.
I will keep it even though it's not "perfect", because the flaws don't really bother me and it's very cute... And it was on sale.
Amazing bra. The quality and fit is outstanding. Beautifully made, great support, very natural look. Girls are forward & center, but not overflowing with cleavage. I look smaller in this bra, and it's not a minimizer. Well worth the price. The only thing I don't like is how high it comes up, it shows under some of my lower tops.
Oh. my. Gosh. The best bra ever. So comfortable, so natural looking, and so uplifting, I look smaller in this, and it's not a minimizer. I bought this and the Deauville, which is a tie for the best bra. Pros: shape, comfort, incredibly well made, very secure and supported. cons, e price of course, but having purchased and sent back many bras because of the fit, I think the quality will pay for itself.
This is a really comfortable bra. It almost sits flat on my sternum. It doesn't dig, poke, itch. Boobs don't spill out of sides or top. I've had it since August, when I finally made the 3.5 hour trip to an Intimacy store. I bought 5 bra styles, two of one style (I returned the unworn one), one style that is OK for a while, and this and two others that I really like. Of them all, this one is the most comfortable.
That said, it's a plain bra. Attractive, but nothing flashy.
