While this doesn’t provide much lift it’s great for launching and surprisingly fine for short walks. It keeps my breasts a little lifted and out of my way, which is the most important thing. Also, it’s comfortable for long periods of wearing and works for folks with a big difference between band and full busy measurement.
Ordinarily, one must go up a couple sizes with Rhonda Shear bras (so normally, XL for me); with this bra being 65% Rayon, 30% Nylon, 5% Spandex, it turned out I needed to go down one size from my normal shirt size. Thankfully, I paid attention to reviews at HSN, and didn't need to go through the merry-go-round of exchanges. The comfort was, for me, perfect.
This is a wire free pullover, so one does not need to deal with any sort of closure. Due to how wonderful it felt, I went back and purchased one in navy blue and purple, and there was no issues with those, either. The stretch mesh lace does not cause any allergic reactions. The pads are removable, but I kept them for modesty's sake, and they don't add too much to the bust size.
The straps are wide and non-adjustable; there was no issue with them, as the length was correct upon arrival. The back is wide and smoothing. I found the rounded v-neck quite comfortable, all in all.
I selected poor for appearance, only due to the fact that upon arrival, this bra was unraveling all throughout the cups and along the band. I had to return it, and I then learned that one or two reviews from HSN (I purchased from Amazon) commented on the same problem. Due to this, I chose not to reorder. As for the rest of the bra, however, it felt wonderful. It was just not long for this world due to poor stitching.
This bra is ugly as sin, advertised on TV specifically to women who don't understand underwire bra fitting, and has been discontinued in size XS. So what made me curious enough about it to try it? Frankly, I wanted to know what made this "leisure bra" different from the similar looking knit sports bras that I tend to wear. Plus, it was available on Amazon with free shipping and free returns, so I decided to give it a shot.
The pros: My first thought when putting this thing on is that it is INSANELY comfortable. The main difference between this and a sports bra is ...that a sports bra is designed for support, thus the cups provide compression. This is designed to stretch, like a pair of pantyhose. I didn't feel constrained or restricted in this bra, and it was sooo comfortable for the most part. The band felt pretty decent and I didn't experience any riding up, which is pretty shocking from an alphanumeric sized bra, though it does flip up in the front as you spend time sitting or bending over.
OK, the pros end there. There's only one true pro to this bra, and the main problem is that the insane comfort I experienced at first was quickly replaced by pain and chafing as I realized the armholes are too small. The bra is cut way too small in the armholes, and the band is too tall all around. As I wear the bra, it quickly rides up into the armpits and rubs them raw. There is no "Ahh" at this point, just "Argh" as I futilely tug the band down and away from my armpits. The fact that the straps are not adjustable just makes this issue worse. I am very petite and typically have to adjust all my straps down. How would anyone with a normal or long torso make this bra work?
Although the bra's cups are knit to shape and have plenty of stretch, it doesn't really provide any better shaping than a minimizing sports bra with no knit-in cups. The construction of the cups cannot provide any shaping or lift. It pains me to read all the reviews on this bra from various websites where the women clearly don't know any better and try to wear this thing as a regular bra.
In addition, there is just SO MUCH BRA. The band is really wide, since this is touted as "reducing back fat." The front is cut really tall, and it was visible underneath scoopneck t-shirts on me. The nylon fabric is thick and warm, which is really not ideal for any season other than winter. The bra is 96% nylon and 4% spandex. Know what else is also nylon/spandex? Control top pantyhose. This contraption is glorified control top pantyhose for your torso. Think about it.
As a leisure bra, it fails because of the tight armholes causing armpit chafing. I see this fitting a very small proportion of the population, and if it fits you, it will be a very comfortable leisure bra. I wish I could bum around at home in this thing, but only in cooler weather.
As a bra, well, it can't be evaluated as a bra because it is not a bra. Please do not wear this as a bra or expect this to be a bra as Rhonda Shear doesn't even classify this as a bra. You will not be supported, you will not be lifted, and you will certainly have nipple show through.
In addition, the different colors fit really differently. I bought both Black and Nude, and have read that the dark colors consistently run smaller than the lighter colors, supposedly due to the dye. The only way this is possible is if the garment is piece-dyed, which is honestly not that common. Most likely it is knit from dyed yarn, which wouldn't explain the variation in size. The Black runs much smaller and fits me better, but unfortunately this means that it chafes the armpits even more than the Nude. Sigh.
FYI their size guide just tells you to order based on dress size (overbust) or by the +4 cup size conversions. The XS would be my recommended size based on dress size based on waist, hips, waist, but not bust as the bust range is 30-32" in this size--if I went by the bust measurement for dress size, I'd end up in a S, which would be way too big in the band and even higher cut all around. However, XS is also given as 30-32/A-C. Based on the +4 size conversion, this would suggest the bust measurements are meant to fit 26" underbust, 31" bust (30A) to 28" underbust, 35" bust (32C). I find that this fits much more closely to the cup size conversion. Read more 725 more words

I ordered this bra when I got my Rhonda Shear Ahh Bras and thought they were the most comfortable thing ever, until I realize that they are chafe city under thee armpits and completely unbearable.
This style doesn't come in XS so I decided to try a S. Regarding the fit, I can only attest that this bra is ginormous and the sizing is totally different between the Original Ahh Bra and this model, especially since this is not designed to stretch to fit like the Ahh Bra. The band and bra overall are ridiculously big on me, but I do feel that the molded cups here ...actually fit me ok. The cups seem to be the appropriate volume, but it's pretty difficult to evaluate the rest of the fit since it's so far off.
Like the Ahh Bra I reviewed, this one suffers from the same poor design--overly tall band, overly tall and conservative cup cut, tight armholes, and straps that can't be adjusted. This severely limits the number of people who will be able to wear this style comfortably. Even looking at the model photos on the website, it is digging into the armpits and the band isn't snug. The design is just bad from a functional perspective.
The fabric of this bra in the photo looks like velvet, but is some kind of shiny lace. It looked pretty cheap in Black, but some of the colors looked like they had potential. It's very different from the woolly nylon of the Ahh Bras so I do appreciate that this is a different option, however finding the right fit will be difficult in this style.
FYI their size guide just tells you to order based on dress size (overbust) or by severely inaccurate cup size conversions. The S would be my recommended size based on dress size (given as 32-34 bust, I am 33), but this is also translated to the impossible 34-36/A-C, which is nowhere close to my bra size. Even using the inaccurate +4 measuring method would result in 30" underbust, 35" bust for a 34A and 32" underbust, 39" bust for a 36C, which you can see has no relationship to the suggested dress sizing. This review is for the Ronda Shear ahh bra (109608) color pale Rose. This is a sleep bra, would not wear it to go out, not supportive at all, not the quality I expected https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> I was expecting it to be more thick, not like the ones you buy at dollar city.... happy to have bought it on sale, wouldn't pay full price for it. I have to wear two at a time, one on top of the other to be comfortable and feel a little support, does not separate boobs, so watch out for boob sweat, not nice!! It if fine to sleep in it, and very comfortable for that.
I can't really measure this pull- on bra but I can review it. I got this size Large Rohnda Shear bra from my friend who tried wearing it because she literally had nothing else and was given this because of a bra emergancy. My friend's boobs are much too big so it was given to me. It fits my boobs just fine. I like it.It doesn't give any support but it is really comfortable to lounge or sleep in. I think it must be at least 10 years old because it doesn't say "Ahh Bra" on the label like it would for the last who knows how many years now? Any way it is more like shapewear than a sports bra.
I got a set of 2 nude leisure lace bras. I've never tried Rhonda Shear before. I only tried the bra on for a minute so I'm not totally sure about the fit. I did notice that this bra seems to fit like a 30E. There was ample room in the cups. I was afraid xs was going to be too small for me. IDK. Maybe this certain bra runs big. It's pretty, I like the nude (more like dark beige) lace. There are no hooks.
Not a sexy bra. At all. However, it's fine for housecleaning and for sleeping. It's super easy to wash and it can even go in the dryer It's reasonably priced and it has removable cups. The cups are thick, bulky triangles that squash me and make me feel suffocated. I wouldn't wear this bra outside of my house because it offers no modesty. Definitely a good sleep bra, but go up a size because this is a very snug fitting cami.
