This is one of my go-to comfy bras. It gives nice cakes on a plate uplift, but nothing crazy. Since I got this bra used, I immediately had to hook it on the tightest set of hooks. However the cups are nowhere close to my armpits, which is awesome and pretty rare for me https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> The straps only adjust halfway due to the decorations on the front part of the straps, but they actually get plenty short for me-- which is saying something, since on some of my bras I have to pull the strap adjusters almost to my collarbones. A simple but pretty & easy-going bra!
Beautiful bra I found on ebay. I'd say the cups runs small but it doesn't give me quadboob so I can still wear it. The design is really lovely. This looks like a very fancy bra and has a lot of embellishment.
I imagine a 28G would be my ideal size or 30FF would fit better but this 30F is alright. I like the shape it gives me and it is very low cut so I can wear it with a low top. It looks nice under t-shirts and gives me nice support.
Besides the cups being a bit too small the straps are bit too far apart but not as much as the Rhea which I could never wear because of that. In fact I would say this bra is a much better version of a Rhea although the cups are not padded. It gives me a better shape and I can wear it with any top.
I really wish I'd been able to get the Rigby & Peller Vintage Underwired Plunge Bra (V1003) in something closer to my size. This plunge bra has a very vertical opening, so the cutting in happens on a steep diagonal, but it's still quadboob. The center gore is a wonderfully low 1.25," and the cups are entirely sheer, embroidered mesh in beige. Gorgeous bra. The sides and underwires on the sides are how they are supposed to be in a plunge, high. This makes the bra almost a good fit, in spite of being a couple cup sizes off from my usual UK 30F.
If only shipping from all Rigby & Peller sellers weren't so ridiculous or if only some of them with cheaper shipping had a wider range of sizes!
Fits almost ok in the morning, but I think there isn't enough room between the wires in the center because the front hurts by evening (after 8-10 hours)
The cups on the R&P Vintage padded half cup are very shallow indeed. I went up to the largest cup and the centre gore is still about 2 mm from lying flat. However, there is no quadraboob or underarm bulge and the cups give a smooth line. One of my favourite bras.
