Many things I like about this bra: the color (purple haze); the spacer fabric (which I hadn't seen before); the thin, molded cups - about 1/8", sheer but not see-through; the lace (even on the front of the strap); the flexible underwire; the fact it didn't gape on me; and overall, general comfort.
Many things I don't like about this bra: the band is too big on me and the cup is too small. The cup is also a little too narrow, not quite enclosing all the side tissue. The gore is either too wide or too tall, or both, for my ...short & wide root, FoB close set breasts. In this size, the gore sits on breast tissue and not on my sternum, which caused the quad effect. (I can get away with wearing it during my smaller points in my cycle.) The cups are also a little splayed, at 8" between apexes, so on me it looks a little matronly. Prominent nipples would show under a snug shirt.
Believe it or not, I had gone to bra boutique to be professionally fitted. The woman measured me correctly and brought several to try on, none of which fit well at all. Then she brought me this Scarlett, which I love the color of. I ended up keeping this one, despite it's flaws, simply because it was still better than all the old, stretched out ones I had at home. But needless to say, I was not impressed with that boutique! Read more 152 more words
