OK, to begin, this was the first Polish brand (in fact, this particular set) that I "noticed" after first trying Ewa Michalak.
How, why, I don't know, but this brand(and set) has been on my radar for more than 6 months. At regular price, Samanta is a little "pricey" though (i.e. like EM) so I was nervous to try without being able to make returns.
But, when they had a sale and I had already tried so many other Polish brands, I sent MagdaBras4you a message asking her to please place me an order so we could try the brand.
I am not disappointed. At ...all. This was money well-spent.
This brand is QUALITY. There is so much good to say about it. The fit is different though, as will be apparent from my photos, measurements and comments.
Delight is peach. PURE peach. This is probably the "prettiest" bra in my drawer. When Magda received it, she too, immediately LOVED the colours and embroidery.
This style, A922, is Samanta's deepest, fullest cup and is the style they recommend for large, soft breasts. I don't have particularly large or soft breasts, but I do have very projected breasts and I was told that this is also their deepest cup, so I decided to try it. I also chose this one over their other softcup styles because all the others have detachable straps and I LOATHE detachable straps. Seriously. It's hatred.
Anyhow, I digress.
This bra has U-shaped wires. They are true and pure U-shaped. The cups are narrow and VERY deep. VERY deep. I barely fill them. Just barely. If I scoop and swoop, I don't fill them. OMG. For the first time, I don't scoop and swoop. In fact, there is a little bit of empty space at the bottom, as can be seen by the wrinkling in the pics.
Let me tell you, there is SPACE at the bottom of this cup. If you are FOB, this bra is a pure goldmine because that's where it's space is.
Also notable is how sheer this bra is considering that it comes in sizes so much larger than mine. This is soft, sexy and feminine. Even the side sling almost disappears.
The cups on this bra are tall though. Very much so. They almost eat my armpits. I wonder what it would fit like if I sized down...
...but at this size, I get a SOLID tack. Top to bottom, full tack. Yoo-hoo.
The cradle and gore are also the same power-mesh lined knitwear as the band. STRENGTH. This band is firm and VERY TTS for a 65. If you struggle to find a tight band, look no further. These are like Ewa bands. And, Samanta even makes size 60 bands. But...at this size, only 2 hooks per row. This is a bit of a disappointment, but VERY common in my size of 65G.
Straps. These straps are decorated and PADDED. These have got to be the dreamiest straps I have ever experienced. They're also on the semi-soft I have from this brand, btw. The BEST. I LOVE them and they have plenty of room for adjustment. I am only half way up with the slider.
The panties have no seams on the edges at the back. Zero panty lines. This is terrific. They are VERY TTS for a Small. I find them a little loose, which means they are TTS for a Small.
This bra set is gorgeous and of very high quality. The fit is different though and the resulting "look" is different. What do you all think?? Read more 483 more words
gratiat Had asked if this bra could compare to the Ewa Michalak SM style. This bra fits nothing like it a SM. SM is MUCH shallower at the bottom of the cup, so it gives more of a push up effect than this bra. In terms of style, quality, beauty of embroidery: yes, ABSOLUTELY on par with EM.

Another wonderful and enlightening review!!
Fabulous review! Keep ‘em coming. I’m making my shopping list. :D
I love the peach! Looks great on you. Where did you see the 60 bands? Last I looked they only had a 65M.
Stunning!
Sovavosi Not many left...largest cup in 60 band is K.
OMG this is beautiful-thanks for the comparison to SM. I still love it so much and I'm definitely adding this to my dream list. It looks amazing on you, and it's useful to know it runs deep.
Agree, this is a great bra. I have one exactly like this and in fact, I happened to wear it today! It's was very hot here today and it's a good bra for hot weather.
It suits you very well - great fit!
My breasts and soft and heavy and this provides lift and support for them.
That looks amazing! I would love to try this brand. It does look like the bra is really high in your armpit; does that big you? I have that issue with Ewa bras more often than not, and it makes them nigh unwearable until I move that elastic and the straps over so they are narrower. (Thank goodness for sewing machines) Would you say the straps are set wider, the same, or narrower than Ewa bras? Also, if you don't mind me asking, how much did this bra cost?
The straps aren't really wider, but the cup is taller, so yes, it comes up into my tail of spence about 1/2cm more. It bugs me a little but I'm not particularly sensitive and I wear a different style bra everyday so irritation is very very rare.
Oh that comparison helps a lot! Thanks for taking the time to do that. :3
I might have to try one of these. This brand is on my next to buy list for sure!
mandapandarawks my pleasure! I realized that it would be good to put them with the rest of the pics of the bra for future reference, so i did. NB. In semisoft I can get away with 65G but should size up and A142 in need 65H. This cut is definitely the deepest I have ever had in 65G apart from a KL Sicila that I own which is uncharacteristically deep for that brand/size.
mandapandarawks - if you would think it might be in your size range and you'd like me to send you my 70H to try on for idea on fit, PM me. I think I owe you one as I am the current beneficiary of the neon Kostar that's floating aground the universe looking for someone to fit.
Ohhh, that would be awesome! I'll send you a PM :) If the cups are super deep, it might fit me! Lol that poor Kostar bra... I hope it finds a loving home.
Ooh! I love the peach! The idea of deep cups is wonderful, but it’s the cup height and armpit eater that scares me from it. I need 9.5-10” depth but it’s really dependent on 1) how wide the wires/cups are 2) how deep at the wire they are 3) how tall the cups are and 4) how open or closed off they are on top.
Would you say that the Samanta A922 is deeper than your Gorsenia 65G Margo? I am trying to figure out if a 65H would be too big for me or if so should consider a 70G if the bands are that firm.
tintallie yes, absolutely it is deeper than my Margo. Fits 1/2 cup size bigger. Kinda. Its very different. Deeper, taller cups and wider-feeling straps also. If you scroll up in these comments you will see photos I posted comparing to an Ewa.
This bra is a real stunner! But it’s not quite right for me. This Polish semisoft is a gorgeous golden tan colour with cream, lilac, peach, and rose gold snowflakes and vines embroidery. At the center gore, there is a peachy pink shimmering gauze bow with a gold s charm (though it looks like a g). The straps have that snowflake like embroidery on them which does make them not fully adjustable. There is a thick band across the inside edge of the sheer mesh upper cups.
And this is where things start to go wrong with the fit for me. I’m not sure if it’s too small ...or too big as I have open space under the sheer sections but the elastic band is digging in. Does it need firmer and/or fuller upper breast tissue? Is it a size issue or a shape issue? Is it my soft tissue or my tall but not tall roots? Is it a problem with the cup height? The cup width seems to be to be ok for my narrowish roots and the depth seems to be ok. I can’t speak for the immediate projection because I have not worn it for more than a few minutes at a time.
Secondly, this band is pretty snug, and it’s also somewhat squeaky. I gather that this can be made to go away. Perhaps it would squeak less on a smaller ribcage. Maybe it’s a manufacturing defect. I dunno. I know squeaky bras do happen.
The takeaway is that this bra is stunningly beautiful but sadly a shape and/or size mismatch. Read more 158 more words
This is gorg! I say there is an elastic band under the the top of the cups? Normally I like that feature because I like cups that close in towards my body.
And you’re right, some bras are just squeaky aren’t they lol? I think I have only noticed some of my Freyas and Cleos squeaking when they are brand new, it is kind of funny because I always wonder what ppl think it is if they happen to hear it, but it doesn’t bother me :) Just curious did you happen to try with an extender on the band? I def need an extender if it won’t stretch to 29.5 on its own.
I did sort of try it with an extender. I think it’s a little less squeaky. It’s pretty new so that might be it too. I’m happy send it out to you if you want.
Calluna sorry I think I will have the same exact problem - those cups are going to be too tall for me and I have nothing to fill them out up there. I know that I need cups are are right at 6 inches, 6.3 at most, otherwise they'll be flappin' in the breeze because I have nothing up there lol! Otherwise I would totally take it, it is very pretty!!
Yeah. I’m about the same with cup height. Though I think it’s shape depending. Half cups must be lower than plunges or balconettes.
But you might like my Gorsenia Parisienne. It’s coming soon. I have the pictures taken. Just gotta do the rest.
Calluna ugh I know, measuring bras is a pain lol and it takes me a long time because I want it to be accurate and I triple-check it before I write it down and it's a real time consuming effort! i mostly just care about the band (does it stretch to 29 inches? extender can give me the extra inch), cup depth, cup height, and wing height (higher wings are nice but not deal breaker). I don't have problems with high or wide gores. Let me know once you have it up & I'll take a look :)
Will do. I have the measurements up, I think. I took lots of pictures on Friday.
That is pretty! I have that wierd cutting in across the top in lots of bras but havent nailed down why yet
confused for me it is usually the edge of the cup lined with a stretchy material that is designed/intended to be more accommodating to fluctuations and asymmetrical breasts, but is very much not friendly to soft tissue or tall roots.
Third time's the charm with Samanta! Previously I tried a 70F A922 Aurora (too deep) and a 65G A122 (technically fit but too pointy for my taste). I love Samanta's designs, but they are so difficult to get a hold of in the U.S. When this one popped up on Zulily, I decided I'd give this brand one last try before giving up.
Well, this is hands down one of the most beautiful bras I own. It's grey with burgundy, bright pink and orange floral embroidery... such a striking and whimsical combo. The materials and finishing all appear to be very high quality.
I had thought that ...the A142 cut would be too shallow for my projected boobs, but actually it's not at all. The wires are quite narrow, and the marks left when I took off the bra revealed that they actually managed to stay in my IMF throughout the day. In the pictures, you can see the residual marks left from my Panache Cari, which sits much lower on me in comparison. The cups have a small side sling, which helps produce a very centered and rounded shape in combination with the vertical seams. The straps are quite wide set... they don't bother me personally but I think their placement might be irritating for someone with petite or narrow shoulders. The band is really silky and fits TTS. The only minor fit issue I have is related to the flexible wires and somewhat high gore--- my close-set boobs tend to push it away from my sternum, preventing a proper tack. I've read on Sophisticated Pair before that Samanta bras aren't designed to fully tack like UK bras do, so I'm not worried about it however. Read more 181 more words
Like Ewa Bien, it is really difficult to get your hands on a Samanta bra! The company does not want to ship to Canada or even USA, they always answered me with the same message saying the cost depends on where you live, and never answer back when I gave my infos and said I wanted to buy from them!! How frustrating.
So I finally got this one from Zulily and unfortunately it is not the right size for me. But the fit would have been ok with the right size! The wires are narrow like I like. The quality looks pretty good and the look is really feminine. I'm so sad it is not right for me!
The 65 band looks more like a 70 to me. Also since there is only 2 hooks and that the straps are thin, I don't get any support with that loose band. For the cup, it is a polish measure, so the 65G is NOT like a normal G. It's more like a UK32F to me.
I love my first taste of Samanta! This style was not compatible with my shape but I now have an idea of what ones would work for me. From my understanding, this is a full-coverage style which is where most of my incompatibility comes from.
Pros: Super cute, tts band that is comfortable and soft, awesome shape, depth is tts
Cons: Samanta does not ship to the US so I cannot order directly (boo!), cups are too full coverage for me, cups rub and harass my armpits, and not enough immediate projection (very minor issue that I would have overlooked if I kept the bra), and the wires are on the wider side of average.
I would love to try more Samanta styles but I'm having issues finding stockists that ship to the US. Samanta does if you ask specially, but it's very costly. Their styles are so gorgeous and I'm so bummed that it's so difficult to order them.
Love4Pollinators I know-it felt like every time I looked at this bra I discovered something new on it!
Your photos of the lace made my jaw drop: expensive details.
Beautiful bra, and it looks great on you! too bad you didn't care for the cut more. Your drawings on the blog post were helpful, and very well done! I admire your computer talent :)
So beautiful!! <3
I know A Sophisticated Pair sells Samanta and they can probably order styles/sizes you want.
Zulily stocks them on occasion and I do believe sopisticatedpair.com was going to stock more and may have started already. I love their bras too...very luxurious but finding them here is no easy feat. Love this one too! Looks great on you!
How is the fabric tension on the upper half of the cup? If it is at all loose I wonder if you could actually get away with sizing down to a smaller cup, because I bet this would help with wire length and the excessive coverage. In bras made with really high end materials, like Samanta, Avocado, Empreinte, sometimes at first you don't realize the cup is slightly too big because the mesh is such nice quality that it doesn't bag or wrinkle despite the cup not being really filled.
wendybien I was also thinking about sizing down in this style if I try it again. It wouldn't hurt to try but I think for padded styles (since those tend to run a smidge less deep) I'd be okay with a 65G.
Thanks everyone for the recommendation to check out Sophisticated Pair! I'm definitely going to reach out to her and see if I can order a set (or two-I deserve nice things!). I'd love to try a cut that isn't 'full-coverage'.
Btw, check out her blog post about styles of Samanta here, because it might tell you which style works better for you, especially since they make the same colorway in a lot of different styles. So you might get a Mintaka, just a different style Mintaka!
This is a beautiful light blue bra from Polish lingerie company Samanta. It has three-part sheer mesh cups with embroidery and a mesh side-sling. The band material is very smooth and soft. The straps are narrow with a ribbon overlay on the front, and can be removed to wear the bra with cross-back straps.
Fit-wise the cups are deep with plenty of apex projection and room for upper fullness. The wires are medium-wide in width. Though the size is marked as a European 65G, which should be equivalent to a UK 30F, the bra fits small in the band and large in the cup, so the size is more like a UK 28G.
This would make a beautiful bridal piece. I love the the subtle raised embroidery. The only issue I have with this bra is the band and that the cups cut into my roots. It is reasonably narrow and shifts a little more than I like. But I have very heavy tatas for their size and struggle to find the right balance between firm enough band and too firm
This is probably my favorite bra at the moment. I did have to switch out the straps for long enough ones but I tend to need to adjust my straps out a decent amount, otherwise I end up with deep red groves in my shoulders (for all bras). The navy surpringly goes under pretty much any color without issue. However the lace does show under thin shirts. I thought the fabric was going to be too itchy but it's not itchy on at all. I get a minimized projected shape wearing it. I've tried three Samanta bras (unlined) and in each I've needed ...a 65. This doesn't match their calculator but it does match my typical band size of 30. However in the cup I need to size from my typical F to a G; this is only one cup based on the size options Samanta sells. I recommend these bras to anyone who has a way to get them shipped here. I rely on a friend to forward them on from Europe. Presently they don't ship to the US Read more 81 more words
