kate166 Thank you so much! That helps a lot!
I agree with Kate166. You size up in the cups not because FoT or FoB but for better coverage. The bras *Look* pretty shallow because they're meant to push everything up and together. That being the case, you apex is pretty close to the top of the cup. I totally forgot to mention but the wires are kinda soft. VERY similar to Polish bras in terms of wire hardness, and how the girls are shaped overall while wearing, and tight the band is.
In Asian bras, if I don't size up my nipples would be outside of the cup. If I size up one cup, there would still be overflowing. Hence I usually size up two for my soft tissue to be contained, so it makes a lot of sense that the apex is close to the edge.
Asian bra fitters or calculators also tend to put you in a too small cup, because it makes your breasts look larger if they're overflowing, bulging or quad-boob-ing.
I had some issues with their online fitting system. Since their cups only go up to G, their online system only goes up to H cup? The first time I tried it with my snug underbust and standing bust, it put me in a 38E/F!!! After the 4th attempt, I got it down to a 34G using my tight underbust and smallest bust Measurment (laying down vs standing vs leaning via the ABTF calculator)
lilcrasher and kate166 Thank you so much! I don't know what I would do without your advice!
Tried this one on in the store - did not purchase.
After all this flurry about Satami bras and the inevitable fit questions, I decided it was time for a trip to the store as it is easily accessible to me and I felt a strange sense of responsibility. LOL.
For those outside of Los Angeles, there are some shopping links and tips on my blog http://multifariousmommy.blogspot.com/2017/05/satami-bras.html
About me: FoB, narrow set, short/wide roots, sloped shoulders, 32F (UK)
I wear a 34G in Satami. Let that sink in. Size up in band do to the extra wide band = tighter band. In general, I could probably fit ... in a 32 band as my tight underbust is only 29 (i'm extra squishy) but it would have been slightly uncomfortable? Also, Satami doesn't make a 32H. Size up in cups because most of Satami bras (and most Asian bras in general) are all about the cleavage.
This bra features the low center gore with narrow wires (not overlapping like the custom Comexim but definitely narrower than the Freya and Panache ones own) so common with Asian bras. It also has high side wings and extra wide back band to smooth things out - great for those who are extra squishy. Fit seems pretty spot on. Comfy and supported. Also, tiny gap on my smaller side but that's expected.
Ultimately, this bra felt a little too "open" to me? Great for nights out when you want the girls to get some extra attention. This bra give me pause when approaching stairs. Or speed walking. Or chasing after toddlers. If you have soft tissue, don't even think about this one - the risk is too great.

Giggle. "Chasing after toddlers...The risk is too great." I understand. :-) Thanks for your review!
I had not heard of these at all. Thank you for the introduction and for the review!
Soft tissue, check. Falling up stairs without a toddler in sight, check. So I suppose I won't seek out this bra to try on. That's a huge advancement in my knowledge of options, with almost no effort on my part. So thank you for taking on this investigative responsibility and reporting so thoroughly. :-)
Lol @ "I felt a strange sense of responsibility." I know that feeling! I have ordered and returned a s---ton of bras - for science and bratabase!
Thanks for your hilarious and informative review.
Yeah the "chasing after toddlers...the risk is too great." Made me laugh too. I hear ya! Lol!

There were some tiny wrinkles near the wires indicating its slightly too shallow but its small enough that I can live with it. Also, tiny gap on my smaller side but that's expected. I also tried this model on in 32F - lots of quadding.

UPDATE 6/29/17: I now own this one in 34E! Review on my blog: http://multifariousmommy.blogspot.com/2017/06/satami-bra-review.html

This is billed as a wireless sport bra. The sales woman initially told me sleep bra. it's pretty supportive for a wireless bra or pretty standard for a sports bra. With one difference - the girls are not smashed together or against my chest. As such, its probably not a compression type of sports bra. It is however, very structured. It gives the girls a nice rounded appearance and dare I say it, a dash of sexy! I'm not convinced it'll hold up to a round of cardio but should be fine for yoga and other lightweight exercise.
My favorite aspects about this bra are: stylish design, hook and eye closure in the back (busty ladies with small bands holy grail!), and supporting the girls with minimal compression.

Oh my! I'm so tempted. Wire -free, comfortable support :-) :-)
I understand what you mean about a sense of responsibility. Thank you for going out and doing the research!
Tried this on at the store for all of 3 minutes. Did not purchase.
This is a Asian bra from the brand Satami - they specialize in "Shaping Bras". Shaping Bras are bras that do double duty to smooth out arm pit fat and back rolls through extra wide bands and "crescents" while uplifting the girls and maximizing cleavage.
I usually wear a 32F in UK brand bras but the equivalent in Satami was 34G. The bra fit beautifully. Center gore tacks, no wires gouging between my narrow set breasts, no unsightly backrolls, no gapping and no major wrinkles. Straps were thick and stayed on ... my sloped shoulders and the high side wings kept the girls facing forward. I did have a few tiny wrinkles on the bottom of the cup because I need alot of immediate projection but they were pretty minor. A few details to note. The side wings have at least 2 pieces of boning on each side. This combined with the flaps or wings inside the cups and their patented "crescents" ensure every bit of side boob is accounted for and brought to the front. The back feature 4 rows of hooks!
