This is the second time I've bought this bra. My first was 40H - Sculptresse » Chi-chi Full Cup Bra (7695). I loved the band so much I really wanted to try it again. It still doesn't fit a size up. I think the shape is just off for me. Because the sides are wide but press me towards the center I get this strange flat side. My breasts are then funneled into this squarish box on the bottom and spill into the stretch lace at the top. It could be I need to size up but I think the bottom has too much lift and not enough space, so a shape issue. Still, I may try it in a 42HH to see if I can get more bottom space. Honestly, I just like be the band so much. If I could get only bras with this band I would be happy.
This bra is a fit mismatch for me. The wires are too wide and come up too high for my shape. I have short/high narrow roots. It seems close, but because the wires are so high, the underwire keeps getting pushed below my IMF. The fabric is very pretty. I'm not sure how well the stretch lace at the top of the cup would wear, however. It seems similar to the stretch lace that the Elomi Kim Plunge Bra (4340) uses. That one has mediocre aging. They should just replace this lace with the stretch fabric from the Panache Serene, since it's the same parent company. The band on this is double bagged, so it's comfortable. The band feels a bit snug, however. That seems to happen with Panache/Sculptresse bands. I have a feeling the band would end up suffocating me as the day wore on.
I'm a little irritated about this. My other Sculptresse Full Cup bra in 40H fits better than this because the top is more open. On this bra, the embroidery closes off the top material, which means that the cup both cuts in and gapes on my larger side because the very top of the cup is more flexible than an inch down where the embroidery is. I'm so frustrated because besides this the bra portion fits really well. The bottom fabric portion of the babydoll is not very voluminous so it fits tight around my stomach and is not very flattering but if the ...bra portion had fit I would have cut that part off. The colorway matches the pink/purple colorway of the Pure Lace line, so the briefs from that are made from the same stretchy dot mesh fabric as this babydoll, so if you want to match it you can. At this point I have no idea what size I fit in the Sculptresse line as every single size I have chosen (40GG, 40H, 40HH) makes me quad on the larger side.
The length from the bottom of the gore to the bottom of the skirt material is 20 inches. Read more 99 more words
The color is gorgeous and the print is cute. I had high hopes for this style because it is based on the style of my best-fitting bra, the Panache Jasmine Balconnet Bra (6951). Sadly, the Paradise doesn't work as well for me as the Jasmine does. The lace upper panel on the Jasmine is stretchy, so it is great for asymmetry and it doesn't cut in across the top. The lace panel on the Paradise is not stretchy, so I would probably have to go up at least one cup size for it to fit my larger side with no spillage—but then the wires would likely be too wide for me.
