This is an encapsulation style bra, but it is fully a compression bra on me. Shock Absorber bras are too tall near my shoulder in my correct size. So, I sized down--the source of compression.

The band is wide and supportive. Additionally, the band sports (pun intended) 3x3 fasteners without a racerback or j-hook. It fastens like a typical bra--effortlessly.

The cup is too shallow for my 30FF projected breasts, but it provides comfortable bounce minimization without padding. I will thoroughly appreciate the lack of padding when our sweltering summer arrives. I'm not a jogger, but I play Kinect Sports Track and Field and Boxing daily with my daughter. This bra will be fantastic for Kinect Sports.

EDIT: After 30 minutes walking around in this bra, the top of the cup is too compressive and my lymph nodes began complaining. However, this bra provides the least movement of any sports bras I tried so far. Perhaps I will try the 32F UK and hope the cup is shorter.....

    • gratiat This is effortless to fasten and supports marvelously! You, too, might love it ;-)

My favourite sports bra. It's very comfortable and I especially recomend it for some jumping sports or running - I do irish dancing, there is lot of jumps and this bra has really very good anti-bouncing efect. It's because of very tight material, but not uncomfortable, I have this bra over a year and anti-bouncing effect is still same, it didn't stretch out much, what I appreaciate. It doesn't do "racket boobs" like Freya active, boobs are nice rounded.

I think it's best compromise between anti-bouncing effect and nice shape, which you can have in sports bras.

I'm 68/93 cm, but band is tight, so 65cm band is ok for my measure. Maybe I could have F cup, but E cup sits good too.

Cons? I think it's not very good in absorbing sweat, but maybe I'm only sweating too much https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_surprised.gif" alt=":o" />)

WARNING: I have N102 Shock Absorber bra too and N102 has smaller cups and more elastic band, so you probably will need different size.

    32GG

    Didn't fit

This is my favourite bra for running.

I bought a 32GG when I was in the process of loosing weight and it was great when I bought it but it's now to big for me. Usually I wear a 28GG or 30G in most styles now. That said, I can still get away with the 32GG. It's on the tightest hook and there's a bit of extra fabric under my breasts and the cup digs in a bit under my arms but the bra still provides lots of support. The band doesn't move at all while running.

Unlike a bra with underwires (I also run in the Panache Sports ... Bra) this one doesn't really try to separate your boobs at your sternum - it try to keep them pointing straight ahead but that's it.

I find the straps are really comfortable and padded without feeling awkward or stiff. There is movement and bounce when I run but it feels natural - just a bit of movement at the root of my breasts near my ribcage - it doesn't bother me at all.

I love this bra for running and would recommend it immediately. Unfortunately because no fabric separates your breasts at the center I wouldn't enjoy wearing this bra out on a regular day in Australia - the sweat would be irritating and bothersome. I also wouldn't enjoy staying in the bra while my body cools down after a run - meeting someone for coffee while still in my training gear and this bra would be unpleasant!

But for the actual running bit - it's a dream. Just come straight home and shower off immediately!

    *Update*
I just bought this bra in my current size (30G) and find that it's a much better fit. The cups are a little high and deep at the sides and dig in just a bit towards my underarms. The center gore doesn't sit flat against my ribs - it's not designed to - but it's actually closer I think to my chest than the 32GG.

I've also found a good fit in the Bravissimo Inspire underwired sports bra but I would still reach for this Shock Absorber no-wires sports bra first when I go running. Love it.

    Hasn't set fit

Bought this for medium-high impact activities during pregnancy. I’ve been wearing mostly 30FF, but they’re starting to get tight in both the bands and cups. My UK size at the moment is probably between 32F and FF.

Knowing that this brand runs really tight in the band, I sized all the way up to 36, but that doesn’t seem to have been necessary in this model. 34DD might have been better as it’s a little wrinkly on top. I got good support from it still, though, and there’s room to grow into it now.

The cups have a kind of support sling on the inside. I don’t get much compression from this bra, which I prefer, but that could be because of the cups are slightly large.

Overall it does its job well and is comfortable. I’ll call it a success.

Knowing that SA sports bras run small, I decided to size up with the band. I didn't really size up with the cups as I hope to keep this bra for longer. I notice some quad-boob action on my left as it is the larger one of my two and is the one that's FoT. My right side, however, feels nice and secure.

    Fits

I'm sure in time I will be able to fasten this myself, but I needed help at first! That said, this bra is very well made, comfortable once I get it on, and limits movement, which is what I need. I like how wide the band is, it sits comfortably and doesn't roll up on my rib cage. Straps sit close to my neck, which is fine with me since I won't be using this for everyday. I haven't owned a sports bra for a long time, and never a compression or encapsulation bra, but I am in the process of losing some weight and this will definitely help with that. The feel does take some getting used to, but I think that is just due to my never having worn this style of sports bra. Thanks to charlielheureux!

This bra band is so firm I have to have help hooking it on from my partner. The support is amazing and can run and jump and nothing moves. After a while the armpit area starts to hurt because the band is so tight, but worth it for the support.

Short waisted, center full, close set, omega shaped, projected, shortish roots...

I've tried a few sports bras and encountered a fatal flaw: most bite into a tendon because they are too tall near the shoulder.

This is short enough to not bother the tendon in front of my shoulder, super supportive, and impressively bounce reducing. No seams chafe my skin. The materials are soft. The padded straps distribute the weight of my breasts comfortably.

However, the cup is shallow and collapses. Sigh. It is imperfect. But, it does what I need it to without biting anything and I can wear it comfortably for several hours. If I sized up into a larger size, ouch: my tendon suffers every time. I'm confident running in this bra would be uncomfortable because of the shallow cup. Kinect Sports and yoga, however, will cause no problems. No padding. Better for warmer weather than Panache Sport. And, with 100F+ temperatures for several months, I need a lightweight, supportive sports bra.

This is a very supportive non-under wired sports bra. This fits me pretty well. There's a tiny bit of wrinkling at the bottom of the cup that might work better for someone with a little more fullness on bottom. For me personally it's just cosmetic and doesn't affect its function. This 30DD is a sister size for me as the don't do a 28E but the band is still tight enough. It gives a good rounded shape under clothes. It's fairly high and closed on top which I don't need as support but I imagine would be useful for bigger sizes. the straps are quite wide and where they meet under the arm are a little stiff especially when when moving arms around playing sport.
