This bra is very similar to the Wacoal Retro Chic bra but at a much lower price. The straps are thick and supportive, and the lace and mesh are beautiful. It’s also very comfortable. I slept in it the first day I got it. The horizontal cup seams give a nice conical look—not for everyone, but that’s the shape I like.
Took a chance on this bra cause the price was right and I am desperate for a bra that fits. I was pleasantly surprised. I tried a 32ddd first but that was too big. The 32dd worked. I’m used to my 28/30 bands so this one is a bit more relaxed than I’m used to and has a good stretch so o have to hook it on the last hook bit when I use the first hook it still feels like it holds we’ll without riding up. The wires are almost not wide enough for me but it doesn’t sit on tissue unless I am overly active at ...any given time the side boob escapes.but this isn’t a work out bra so it’s not too much an issue since this is just a t shirt everyday bra. The cups and mesh are soft. The high apex gives me a grandma bra type feel but the mesh print makes the bra look and feel sexy. (According to my hubby) I don’t know if I’d get another but for $16 I am pleasantly satisfied. Read more 74 more words
Overall, I couldn't decide if I should keep this bra; it was almost a good fit for me, and it's a shame that they don't have more small band/large cups available.
Band/Straps/Wing: * The band was quite stretchy and a bit too big. On the tightest hook, it was still comfortable. I wish I could go down a size. * The wing was a tad too tall for me, mostly resulting in squishy fat in my armpits. It was not uncomfortable, just not very cute.
Cups: * The fit was ok, but not great. The larger boob was a little too stuffed in the cup, the smaller boob fit fine. I wish I ...could go up a cup size. * The light half-lining was nice, and I wish more bras had this. I don't like a ton of padding, but I don't like zero padding either.
Gore/Underwire: * The wires seemed to properly wrap around my boob, and didn't dig into my armpit. * The center gore was a bit too wide for me, though the wires weren't too stiff, so it wasn't too much of a problem. Read more 72 more words
This bra is aiming for a conical shape for your breasts (not my preference) with no cleavage. The bra does very little lifting and shaping, which my wide-rooted boobs would definitely enjoy some more of. The end reasult is a bra that feels perfect me at the bottom of the cup, but is a bit wrinkly at the top.
The underwire also comes up too high for me and can sometimes dig into my underarm, but this is a recurring problem I've with bras even as far back as when I was several cup sizes and a band size down from this.
For the price, though, I'm very happy with ...this bra. I'm poor, and finding a 3-part cup in my size under $45 has proven a nightmare. This was under $20 while still seeming to be well constructed so far. (I'll update this review if that changes.)
EDIT: Within days of writing this, the underwire is bending and showing signs of being flimsier than I'd given credit for. Particularly, the left side of the gore now curls up at the tip and thus no longer rests flatly against my sternum. I'm tentatively lowering my rating on the quality in light of this. This bra is completely the wrong size for me so I can’t comment on what shape it might work for. What I can talk about is the design. It is completely unlined, just one layer of lace. I got it in a hot pink color and it’s almost neon it’s so bright. There is a bow and 3 plastic gemstones as decoration on the gore. The straps have lace over them as decoration. The cups have a floral design made of lace.
I recently lost a bunch of weight and I'm trying to figure out my new bra size. This one is close but the straps are still a bit tight, which is too bad because other than that I actually love this bra and it was quite cheap, but S&S don't carry the sister size I need.
It's pretty lace, but soft and not scratchy. The wires don't dig and my boobs feel nicely supported. Tag doesn't itch. I'm rating the comfort "good" because everything is comfortable except the tightness but that's not S&S's fault, it's mine for inadvertently ordering the wrong size.
I'll still get some wear out of it because it really is nice and it's the nicest-looking bra I own right now, but maybe just in situations where I know it will be coming off quickly, since I have nerve problems in my shoulders and can't push it marathoning even slightly tight bras.
I chose the size of this bra due to limited size options. I had an older version of this style in a smaller size and loved the look of the bra but the cups were too small and the band a little tight. I believe that one was a 36C. The band on this one, the 38C is too big even on the tightest setting. One cup fits fine but the other is too small. I really wanted to add and display maximum cleavage. I think if they made this bra in larger cups sizes, I would really love this bra. (C is the largest cup size available).
This bra was a horrible buying decision, even though I got it on clearance. I will probably force myself to wear it. The reason I bought it is because it had mild push-up padding compared to other bras of the same type, and also because I could wear it strapless and use the convertible straps with different styles of clothing, however, the cups are so gosh darn huge you can't wear it with things you would normally wear strapless bras with anyway. Support- well let's be honest ladies, strapless bras lack in that catagory regardless.. The quality, at least, seems great. You have to have some really big ...boobs to fill the cups on this bra, mine are a true 36DD from what I can tell, and I thought this bra as a 38D sister size would work out okay, but by boobs do not fill the top of the cup so there is empty space and that bothers me. At the very least the cup still touches the skin on my chest so it's not an obvious "doesn't fill the cup". Just not what I was hoping for. Read more 82 more words
This bra is normally like $11-$14ish but I got it on clearance for $6. It gives enough comfort and support to the girls for me to wear around the house, but the wire does poke seldomly under the arms. The only reason I bought this bra is to have something sexier for my hubby, and it works. I wish I would have got black instead of pink but it still looks great. I love how the lace continues up the straps to the shoulder area.
This bra is my best-fitting bra. That being said, the band is way too big. The cups are actually a great fit, but I think if the band was the correct size (probably 28 or 30) I may need a tad bit deeper cup. The straps are completely adjustable along the entire strap which is a plus! I like the lacy design and the bra itself feels more expensive than what I paid for it. The only problem I have with this bra is that the band is so big, it causes the front and back of the bra to ride up. This causes me to constantly have to pull down ...the front to remain comfortable. It's very depressing throughout the day because it makes me think my tiny boobs can't hold a bra down.
Thankfully after a few weeks of research, I've realized my boobs are pretty good and the problem is the bra INDUSTRY. They refuse to supply bras for any sizes outside their small variety. And if you fall outside of their size limits, they mock you and/or make you feel like an outcast. I'm glad we're starting to realize we don't have to stay in this trap of limiting and non-fitting sizes. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
Anyway, great bra and I've had it for a long time - still looks pretty good. Read more 116 more words
I bought this because it was only $7 and it's a bit of a test - if I can shorten a band by 6-7 inches and still have it fit correctly in the cups and be supportive. It's a strapless, and I really don't have $50 or more to spend on a strapless bra that I would only wear occasionally, so I figured that I'd buy a cheap one in a sister size and try to alter it.
Material is soft, but the cup shape is odd due to seam placement, and creates a straight line on the side of my boobs. The bra I received also had the band attached unevenly to the cups, which made the right cup uncomfortable.
A line of non-slip material (silicone maybe?) lines the perimeter of the band.
My breasts are close together, and the center gore did not have space to lie flat between them.
I got this bra in a moment of desperation after losing weight. It's underwires were uncomfortable from the start and I am an underwire fan. The cup was slightly stretchy and molded to my shape well, so well that I didn't notice the fit issues. The seam and lace shows through shirts and the fabric is low quality. The "full coverage" makes it difficult to wear any neckline other than a tshirt. The lace on the straps peek out.
Got this in a crazy color called Hot Fire for $5 US to start my Frankenbra experiments. Since I have a 30.5" break-the-tape underbust at the moment, this band is seriously too large. The patient's first operation is gluing a silicon band to the inside of its band, as per Venusian Glow's instructions. The push-up mechanism on this bra is from the sides instead of just a thickly padded bottom of the cup, so I hope the operation is a success.
6-4: Found out fabric glue won't stick. Turns out I need silicone adhesive. I wish the blog post would have mentioned that. :/ 6-10: Silicone adhesive doesn't work either. Back to the drawing board. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
Decent to wear bra. It last for a long time if you handle with care. If your natural band size is smaller"...you will want go smaller in the band and larger in the cup 36dd or 34DDD.
It's summer, and now that I know how bras are supposed to fit, I wanted an inexpensive bikini top to go with pink and orange athletic shorts. This is 1 cup too small if I sister size up from 30F/ 32E, but if I wiggle stuff around enough it's ok. The largest cup in this swim top is C, and the 38C (the correct sister size up) band would be way too big.
Nice! What a great Boudoir shoot bra!
